In Masters of all Time Vlad infects Sam and Tucker with ecto achne so Danny will help him get rid of his. Danny goes to Clockwork to try and stop Vlads original outbreak of ecto achne which would also stop Vlad from ever getting his powers. But Danny accidently gets Vlad and his mom together and he is therefore never born. But eventually Danny sorts it all out with the help of Clockwork and everything is all nice and cheery again.

This episode is quite an exiting episode but I wouldn't call it original or new but it is still quite an exiting episode and it also reveals what might happen if Vlad had never gotten his powers. And it turns out that Vlad's powers are a good thing compared to what would happen is he didn't have them.

Overall this is an exiting episode which reveals alot about Vlad.
  • This episode makes no sense.

Alright, I'm a person that normally ADORES alternate universes based on changing events. This being said, the product has to MAKE SENSE based on what we know about the characters' pasts.

    .

    .

This episode just didn't do that. For one, why is Vlad still bitter? Why is he still a controlling JERK? From what we've learned about Vlad's past, he seemed to be JUST as nice of a guy as Jack was, albeit perhaps a bit more cynical. That doesn't mean that he was a bad person, though, and, with the accident that 'ruined his life' having never happened... it doesn't make sense that he would have ever became one. Nothing that would cause Vlad to be angry and bitter happened in this time line, so WHY would he still act that way? It's not as though he spent years in the hospital, seething over how his best friend ruined his life and stole the woman he loved. RIGHT?

    .

    .

Moreover, why does Vlad still dislike Jack? Is he just paranoid? And why does he hate ghosts so much? Obviously Vlad had an extreme interest in them when he was young, so why wouldn't he still show that interest? BLA-LARG. .

    .

Next, why in the WORLD would Jack's ghost form be exactly the same as Vlad's? I'm sure they didn't have the same experiences, since their personalities are different, so I don't see how Jack would end up looking like that. In addition, Jack Plasmius's hair should have been WHITE. It's clear that ghost forms use inverted colors, so that just plain doesn't make sense. .

    .

To wrap things up, I'll reiterate. This did not make sense! And that's not to say that I didn't try to like it, I really did, but... I just can't wrap my mind around it. -sigh-
  • This episode was so funny, I fell over laughing!

Finally, finally, finally!! Today was the first time ever that I got to see "Masters of all Time". I watched it this morning, at 6am. Crazy, right? Whrng. I thought it was worth my sleeping time! It starts when Danny's parents come into the Nasty Burger and are dressed like the 1980's which was the funniest part. So, Danny had to leave because he was so embarrased and finds Vlad outside. He reveals that he has ecto-acne like before and infects Sam and Tucker with it as well. They go back to Danny's house, where they try to find a cure. Then, Danny realizes the only person who can help him: Clocwork. At first, he refuses to help Danny because he thinks that Danny chnaging the past will destroy his future. Danny convinces him otherwise and goes back into the 1980's. He does this to stop Vlad from ever having ghost powers in the first place. After Danny stops the accident from happening, he returns to the present, only to find his house abandoned and empty. Then, he finds his dad, who, instead, was the one who was infected with the etco-acne. He couldn't find a cure, so he was stuck with his new found power: ghost powers. Danny tries to convince him that he's his son, but he doesn't believe him. Danny searches for the lab, only to find no ghost portal. Then, Jack tells him that he lost the love of his life (like Vlad did in the present)and Danny finds out that his mom and Vlad end up getting married and are in Wisconsin. Danny goes to Wisconsin and Vlad and Maddie find him there. Danny searches for a lab there, as well. It's underground because Vlad wanted Maddie to give up her ghost fighting career, but she couldn't. That's where she finds Danny and traps him. Danny explains everthing to her and Jack comes to back up the story. Vlad finds them down there and attacks, but Jack defends his son by opening the portal and Maddie sent Vlad into the Ghost Zone. Danny went back to Clockwork to change the present again, but he refuses to. That's when Danny realizes that they weren't going to die; they got the acne from the diet cola that Jack accidentally poured into his experimental portal 20 years ago that causad Vlad's accident. The end, is pretty funny, as it ends with Danny and his parents dancing on an 80's disco floor.
  • OMG Go '80s Danny!

This episode was totally phantastic! I LOVED seeing '80s Danny! He looked soooo awesome in the '80s outfit and surrounded by sparkles! ^_^ The animators are amazing! And the entire ep was all so creative! I had been looking forward to an episode that involved Clockwork again. Time travel rocks! And I can't seem to get this line out of my head: "No. Free. Cheese. Samples!" (That's what happens from seeing an episode too many times!) And I loved the part when Sam thought she was about to die and almost finished her "last" sentence. "When you see Danny...tell him..." I'm SURE she would have said, "...I love him" if he hadn't walked in! Awesome ep! :)
  • Disco Danny was awesome!

I loved this episode. It was so creative and very well put together. I've always really liked Vlad as a character and this was a great episode with him in it. Butch and his team did such a great job thinking up te story line and writting the dialague. It was so well thought out and brilliantly done. I loved how Butch portrayed the time Maddie and Jack lived in, making it colorful and fun at the same time. Plus, Disco Danny was so adorable in the dance club. He looked like a little natural. I really adore this episode.
  • Danny goes back in time (with the help of Clockwork) to prevent Vlad from getting ghost powers in an effort to save Sam and Tucker.

This episode was really really really good! I especially love the beginning when Vlad enters the scene. It was sooooo perfect! I liked the fact that Sam and Tucker finally talked to Vlad and that they saw him transform. My favorite scenes include: the scene where Vlad enters, when Jazz runs off the 'find' Danny, when someone says Clockwork will help but he says he won't, the fighting scene between Danny and Jack Plasmius, and the scene where Danny says 'the good thing about having scientist parents, is alternate reality is a valid excuse' (I know I worded that wrong), the scene where Danny gets rid of Vlad in the end, and when Danny grabs Vlad's shirt and threatens him.
  • Oh my gosh this episode was sooo good:!:

I really enjoyed watching this episode:!: It was very well written and put together. Going more into the history of Vlad's accident was very informative. And seeing Jack as the ghost was well...interesting. (Vlad does a better job as the role of the gost) Oh and the maddie thing. She never will give up ghost hunting. Sam and Tucker getting sick was an awe moment for me. As for the parents moon walking- I would definitely be making freinds with the ketchup stains under the table. Mikey is one of my favorite characters. Vlad is mean. Oh and Maddie loving Jack even if he is a hideous ghosts was awwe.
  • Danny goes back in time to save Vlad from getting ghost powers, only to drastically alter his own future.

    "Superb"
I like the whole idea of time travel (Cliche as it is), so this was a great episode, especially the concept that Danny had to fix the timeline after he totally messed it up. (Back to the Future anyone?)

As we get a look at what might have been, I can't help but think I prefer the usual reality more.
  • Another great episode that I only have one or two qualms about.

    9.4
    "Superb"
Vlad has a bad case of ecto-acne, and in order to get Danny to help him, he infects Sam and Tucker. Danny goes back to Clockwork's lair to try to find a way to help his friends. Clockwork sends him back to the '80s, and Danny pushes Vlad out of the way during the accident in time. When he returns back to the future, he is in an alternate reality where Maddie married Vlad and Jack is Jack Plasmius.

This was a great episode. Danny-centric episodes are my favorites. I loved the reapppearence of Clockwork. Hopefully we'll see him again soon. One of my qualms about this episode is that I wish alternative reality!Vlad would have been a nicer person. At the end, we see that Jack and Maddie would have gotten together anyways, and that Vlad is still a bad guy. However, I would have liked to see a genuinely nice Vlad. Also, ti would have been nice to see Jack Plasmius be darker and more vengeful instead of the on-the-surface bad guy. Oh well. Vlad being the Dairy King was a nice touch, as was Jack's Jazmine cat and the fact that he hates the name Daniel. Plus, it was nice to know the detail that Jack and Maddie would have gotten together if the accident had never happened, and that Maddie loved ghost hunting too much to give it up. She had obviously gotten the portal to work on her own. (On another note, I think that Jack is the one who had the bright idea to put the on button inside the portal.) At the end when Danny goes back to the accident, we find out that the secret to the cure was right under Danny's nose all along.

Plus, I loved the ending. '80's Danny was awesome! If only Jazz had an epiphany and joined them, but it was in character of her to be embarrassed.

In all, this was a great episode. 9.4 out of 10 stars.
  • Master of All time,A great episode!Vlad's case of ecto acne returns, pretty soon tucker and sam recieve a case of ecto acne, danny has to visit clockwork to set the time straight, make shure vlad doesen't get ghost powers, avoids getting ecto acne.

Another Great, well written episode, one of my top favorites, this episode was one of the best ones yet, this episode has a ton of flashbacks, funny scenes, some disturbing lines, like when jack asks about jazz and danny says it's complicated...to me that was disturbing, especially when it was comming from jack.wow, he makes himself sound very disturbing, but im losing the thought of master of all time,i love this episode, well written, jack phantom was genius!
  • Danny goes back in time to prevent Vlad’s ghost powers when Sam and Tucker are infected with lethal ecto-acne.

    9.2
    "Superb"
Vlad returns with another case of ecto-acne, this time which is lethal. In order to get Danny to find a cure, he infects Sam and Tucker with it as well! Desperate because he doesn’t know how to find a cure, Danny persuades Clockwork to let him go back in time to stop Vlad from getting his ghost powers. There, he stops Vlad from getting hit, preventing him from becoming half-ghost. But back in the present, it’s JACK who’s the half-ghost, and VLAD who is married to Maddie! Now Danny must reset his life back to normal, but what would that mean for Sam and Tucker?

Yet another very nice episode came from here. I had hoped to see a bit more, but MoaT was still a great one to watch.

In all terms, the opening was mostly…weird. Jack and Maddie dressing in 1980’s chic was good for a laugh, and both the Fenton kids were IC with their reactions. Jazz especially, since we can already see that she is embarrassed by her folks. Things picked up when Vlad showed up here. I was impressed with how nasty he was here, getting Danny to help him by infecting Sam and Tucker with ecto-acne as well.

I very much enjoyed Vlad (only the first one, though) throughout this episode. He showed himself to still be that bad guy, but also a taunting sense of humor that I find funny. As for the latter, I meant his scenes with Danny in Fenton Works, especially his “I swear I get chills” line. As for the other Vlad, there was something that threw me off with him. He seemed somewhat rude and not very smart as simply Vlad Masters there, but this did give me more thought as to he may not have been that good of a person to begin with.

From the moment I saw what the title of the episode was and after seeing TUE, I had a very strong notion that Clockwork would appear. Of course, a lot of others probably had that notion as well, so that’s not saying much. Anyway, he delivered another strong performance in this episode, although it falls well short of how he was in TUE. He understands how one thing can change the course of time. And instead of one thing in the present ruining the future, it’s one thing in the past ruining the present. For Danny, at least. He definitely could see that Danny had other ways to save Sam and Tucker, but he also understands that he would do anything to save them. And again, I just love how sly and mysterious he can be sometimes.

As for Danny, he was done very well here. Sam-centered and Tucker-centered episodes are both very interesting to watch, but I think I enjoy Danny-centered episodes the most, since we really know about him most on the show, and he’s really the actual hero in it. Again, I love that he would risk so much to save those he loves. He definitely has that vibe of Robin from “Teen Titans” in him. And I enjoy seeing him learn from his mistakes. After his trip to the future in TUE and his trip to the past in MoaT, he should know that it’s just not right to mess with the timestream. And I loved his interactions in the alternate timeline with Maddie and Jack.

I was surprised with how Jack Plasmius was portrayed in this episode. Despite the fact that here, he’s the one who lost Maddie and is living alone, he’s still Jack. Kind, caring, and goofy. But I thought he was a bit jumpy as to attacking Danny like he did.

As for Maddie…well, she was pretty good for the most part. Not a whole lot different from the original Maddie, but quite a bit smarter. But I still thought her knowing about Clockwork was a little strange, but I’m guessing she may know of him from being in the Ghost Zone or something like that, actually haven made a portal that works.

There were a number of funny parts in this episode. I enjoyed Tucker and Sam's lines about him not dating a cheerleader. I really liked when Danny said going back in time was a great idea, then the scene switching to Clockwork, saying it’s horrible, and a similar scenario at the end. I liked what Danny said in the past about the culture and blending in. I was thinking, “Destroy the past? I think somebody already beat you to it.” I thought it was funny that Diet Cola helped cure the ecto-acne, as well as Jack’s pounding on Vlad’s chest and offering the Cola to him. I also really liked Danny’s little punch at Vlad at the end, and himself dressing up at the Disco Night with his parents. Great for a laugh.

And I really liked Sam’s little saying of, “When you see Danny, tell him…” Oh, so close. Appropriate for the situation at hand.

There isn’t that much that was wrong, except what I’ve said already, and a few others. I was hoping for more action than what we got. The only real fights were between Danny and Jack Plasmius, and Danny and Vlad at the end, and they were both short and I couldn’t really get into it that much. Also, I found it strange that Vlad would go to Danny for help with the ecto-acne, since he doesn’t know as much. I think it would’ve made more sense for him to ask for help from someone like Skulker.

Also, like in BM, I felt the last part of the episode was very much rushed. From the point where Jack flew into Maddie’s lab up to the end, it looked like they were trying to get it done fast. But I’m normally able to brush off stuff like that. And I REALLY wish we could’ve seen a shot of Dark Danny, if only for a second as he banged around inside the Thermos or something.

For the most part, MoaT was a very good episode. I expected a little more in it, but it still did a very good job. 9.2/10.
  • Vlad infects Sam and Tucker with ecto-acne so that Danny must find a cure to help them and Vlad since Vlad got it again. Danny decides to go back in time with the help of Clockwork to stop the lab accident that gave Vlad his powers, but Danny ruins future

This episode was more based on drama and I liked it. Butch is always bringing something different to the table. It was freaky how Vlad and Maddie kept on getting in those mushy love moments. It made me sick. Jack had serious anger issues in this one. He tried to hurt Danny with those gigantic ghost rays. Rage, jealousy, doubt, all excellent ingredients for dramtic episodes. It was funny how Vlad got forced into the ghost zone and all of the ghosts ganged up on him. He's evil whether he has ghost powers or not. Also, Clockwork was in this episode. I like that guy's voice. Also his abilities to control time. We saw that crazy side of Maddie again. Freaky cool. Sort of a romantic drama. SORT OF!

masters of all time was one of those episodes that didn't make sense. the reason is because for one, vlad has never used a green ghost ray whereas jack plasmius did. not only that vlad tried to kill jack but jack didn't try to kill vlad. also vlads voice in the past is different than in the episode bitter reunions when he says "I'm telling you jack it won't work". and jacks voice is also a little different. and it goes into more detail of how vlad or jack got their powers in the first place. and to top it all off this episode tells us how danny may have gotten his powers.

This is one of the most complicated and yet interesting episodes ever! I could've never thought this one up! The fact that Danny goes back in time to prevent Vlad getting his ghost powers and Jack getting them instead is just so intringing and interesting. I thought the fact that he had the same details except that he had black eyes and was fat made me laugh my head off! He's even worse at aiming! Gags... Anyway though i thought this episode might have been slightly rushed but still totally awesome! I thought it was pretty insane and actiony! Great work Butch and the crew!

  • I can sum up my opinion of this episode in two words: Too rushed. Danny goes back in time to stop Vlad from becoming Plasmius (he has to as Sam and Tucker's lives are on the line), but ends up creating a world where Jack's half-ghost and Maddie's w

    5.7
    "Mediocre"
This definitely should've been a two-parter. I saw this episode on the Internet (Lord only knows when they'll air it here in Canada) and I actually ended up seeing the first half one evening and the second half the following afternoon, and after seeing both parts seperately and merging them together in my head, I can faithfully say that everything happened too fast.

Vlad popped out of nowhere, infected Tucker and Sam, they're all quarantined and Danny decides to have Clockwork send him back to stop Vlad's accident.

Time travel in any show is a dangerous thing, especially when the majority of the characters tend to not remember any of it, and the premise for this episode has become rather common in cartoons lately (Timmy Turner trying to help Crocker in FOP or Omi trying to help Chase Young in Xiaolin Showdown), but even the most cliched plot can be made into a brilliant work, but any chance of brilliance was ruined.

Marty Isenberg (the DP writer I'm beginning to recognize as my least favourite of the Phantom plot winders) seems to be striking out a lot in the second season; what with Identity Crisis and Beauty Marked (he wrote both) both being below average almost to the point of annoyance, but I'm getting off track.

If it had been a two-parter they would've had time for so much more. They could've showed Vlad being stricken by the return of his disease in Wisconsin and show us what he had in mind for Danny. They could've spent more time with Tucker and Sam, who although more present than usual for a V-man eppy, still took side-saddle to the vampiric mutate. And then maybe they could've showed more background into Vlad, Jack and Maddie's college lives, we got a few more seconds of extra footage, but nothing of any real value, save a sweet look that Young Maddie shot at the mulleted Jack while Vlad stood cross. And why did they have the VA's repeat their original dialogue from the Proto-Portal scene in BR? I wouldn't have minded so much if Vlad hadn't sounded so much older and Jack hadn't sounded so much higher pitched.

Anyway, if they'd added some extra college moments, then they could've finished the first part with Danny getting back to the revised Present and realizing what he'd done.

Now something that both did and didn't surprise me was Jack Plasmius, who was actually very well done for a fusion between Jack and Plasmius. His one line, "If it wasn't for ghosts I'd never have lost the love of my life!" was not only IC for him, but the tone of misery and desperation in it sounded so touching and real. And since Vlad's hardly ever desperate (and when he is, it sounds too forced, anyway) it created an interesting contrast between the two halfas.

Okay, if I tell everything that irked me through the whole episode then I'll be here forever, so I'm just gonna get to the last and final flaw caused by the aforementioned rush: Maddie. We could see that she had feelings for Jack in college, yes, but why was she so willing to give up Vlad and go with Jack after like two minutes of an explanation. Vlad and her had been married for like 18 years (if they wed around the same time that Jack and Maddie did originally), and Maddie doesn't strike me as the kind who'd have stayed married if she didn't love her husband, soi why would she be so willing to ditch him? Especially after that 'eew' fest in front of Danny.

The ending was funny though, with Danny actually enjoying the dancing at 80's night with his parents and Jazz being mortified, plus, I can't help but be attracted to Maddie's 'Madonna' attire; it works so long as you use discretion, after all.

Overall, like I've said throughout, this episode would've been loads better if they'd just made it a two parter and gone a little more in depth to certain areas of the episode.
  • A very good episode... with some controversial drama, and most of the laughs!

    8.5
    "Great"
Embarrassed by his parents Jack and Maddie, who are going for 80's night at the Nasty Burger, Danny leaves the restaurant with Sam and Tucker and encounters Vlad, who suddenly has deadly ecto-acne and blackmails Danny into finding an antidote by infecting Sam and Tucker with ecto-acne! While the Fentons try to find out the cause, Danny goes to Clockwork for help, and Danny in turn goes back to the 80's to try to prevent the proto-portal accident in Wisconsin University from happening. But on doing so, it results in Jack losing Maddie to Vlad and becoming Jack Plasmius! Now it's up to Danny to find a way to go to Clockwork and fix the past again so that he can find the antidote for the ecto-acne (i.e., the Ecto-Purifier, mistaken for diet cola).

I like most of those scenes that make me laugh, especially the running gags, one of them being that someone has a positive thing about helping with Clockwork when in the next scene Clockwork refuses to help. Speaking of Clockwork, he is back, with legendary David Carradine (Bill of the "Kill Bill" movies) doing his voice as he did before in "The Ultimate Enemy"! I also like the part when Jack keeps pounding on the flatlining Vlad's chest as if to restart his heart, while Sam asks Jazz to tell Danny about something that would have been a Danny-Sam relationship when he stops her and hands Maddie the list on how to make an antidote for ecto-acne, which Maddie does in creating the Ecto-Purifier that helps cure Sam, Tucker and Vlad (who revives from being flatlined after being cured; I especially like his being thrown into the air by Danny Phantom in the "Bygones" part, too! LOL).

I also like the 80's clothing which makes Jack look like Public Enemy's Flavor Flav, Maddie like Madonna, and Danny like the "Miami Vice" Don Johnson at the end (love the "Material Grill" pun and Beverly Hills Cop's "Axel F"-like song! :D) And speaking of the ending, the final few scenes of the "alternate present" timeline can be very controversial: Vlad tries to kill Danny after restraining him to the torture device with its laser (that's so worthy of the James Bond movie "Goldfinger") when Jack Plasmius tries to save him; but Vlad in turn uses its laser on Jack, heavily damaging both him and the Ghost Portal, even though Jack (who looks like Vlad Plasmius but is shorter and weighs more than him and is experienced, but is still a bad aim; he has a cat named Jasmine! LOL) uses his ghost shield to defend himself from the laser. Maddie (the love of his life he tries to defend) runs up to the fallen Jack who says his seemingly final words before he apparently dies: "No... It's all right, Maddie... Just remember... what could have been..." (they still haunt me to this day) She, in revenge, goes to Vlad with her "You despicable, lying piece of... cheese!" line (close to the "piece of [the S-word]" line) and, as an annulment, throws him into the Ghost Portal, where he's apparently killed by ghosts.

Anyway, though it may be as dark and controversial as "The Ultimate Enemy", "Masters of All Time" is a very good episode with most of the laughs, especially with the quarantined FentonWorks scene that reminds me of the movie "E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial". Overall, I give this an 8.5 out of 10. Man, what a long review! LOL ;)

Vlad is back, only now he’s afflicted with a serious case of ecto-acne, a direct result of the college lab accident with Jack and Maddie. To ensure Danny helps him find a cure, Vlad infects Sam and Tucker with his disease, and Danny turns to Clockwork for help. Danny convinces Clockwork to let him go back in time to make sure the accident that injures Vlad never happens. Unfortunately, when he changes the past, he changes the present. When he arrives back in the present day, Maddie is married to Vlad and living in Wisconsin, and Jack’s a ghost named Jack Plasmius! Now, Danny must go back in time for a second time to ensure his parents get together, but when he does, will that mean ecto-acne doom for Tucker and Sam?

loves it. it was great. but maddie and vlad together. yuuk. But when danny went back in time. he would not even be there. so when he went there nobody could see him as he was pushed out of the time line because maddie was not married to jack so that messed up the time line. so nobody could see him. but it was still a great episode.

Wow, was that good! I liked how Sam was about to tell Jazz (I think) to tell Danny that she liked him liked him. Hopefully. But bad Danny, screwing it up. *sticks tongue out at Danny* 80's Danny was cute though, you gotta love him. *pets Danny* I especially liked when Jazz siad, "If anyone asks, I was adopted," and everyone's 80's clothes! Worth the 10/10 rating!

First off, Disco Danny was cute. This epi seemed to have a broken story plot. It lacked much focus on certain areas. Also, Jack Plasmius could have been a little more original than just a fatter Vlad Plasmius. However, this episode was still good. 80's Jack, Maddie, and Danny were great. Maddie should keep her hair that way and Danny should keep his 80's style. It's still good to see that Maddie still loved Jack even after marrying Vlad. This was a pretty funny episode non the less, like when Jack named his cat Jasmine and that Danny is a stupid name. It's not my favorite, but it's still a good story.

Is Nickolodeon trying to air bad Danny Phantom episodes so that the viewers won't watch the show anymore?!?!?!?

I have no idea what the answer is, but I know for sure that if they're trying to get us not to watch the show, that it's only gonna make me want to watch it more. Keep watching new DP episodes even if they reek!!!

This episode did have some good points to it. Vlad asking Danny for help and infecting his friends with the ecto-acne was very clever and sneaky, something that he would normally do.

The humor was okay. Not the best, but it was okay. Even though I think it was a good episode, I missed seeing more of Clockwork who is my favorite ghost, not including Danny Phantom.

There was very less DxS than I had hoped. Of course there was some, but not as much as I had hoped. Not to mention that I thought Danny looked cool in those 80s cloths.

I thought that this episode was okay, mostly because it didn't really have a good plot.

I thought this episode was okay. If you like this episode good for you, you're a true Danny Phantom fan, and if you hated it, I would advise you to keep watching the show, and if you still think it sucks, then............

I'm really trying to get people to watch Danny Phantom, based on the rumors of it's cancelation after the 53 episode which is not that far away.

    Save Danny Phantom!!!!!!!

Thank you for reading my review.

I’ve always been a sucker for things involving time travel (why? No idea, just am) so I was excited when I read the summery for this, and I’m happy to say I was *not* disappointed.

The beginning with Maddie and Jack showing up at the Nasty Burger in their 80s’ garb was just great. The dislodge that went on in-between the four teens was hilarious.

“If anyone asks, I’m related to you.”

“Ok, but you’re going to have to be a lot less cheery.”

“If I pass out, you have my permission not to resuscitate me.”

I also liked how the writers used something that was brought up in BR, but gave it a nice (and deadly) twist. So many times in a series the writers will make an important event or character trait or whatever that has a lot of weight with the rest of the episodes and then never come back to it. Vlad’s ecto-acne was brought up in a cool, albeit slightly clichéd way.

Clockwork was definitely a welcome sight. I’ve loved him since square-one so I was trilled for a return appearance. It wasn’t as dramatic or epic as his debut in TUE but he was still fun to watch. David Carradine as the VA was once again excellent. In fact, I think that’s why I love Clockwork so much is Carradine’s performance.

The alternate time line was played perfectly. Jack Plasmius came out well—he wasn’t this stuffy millionaire or big-time villain; but this was changed rightly because of Jack’s character. Maddie was married to Vlad, the guy who supposedly saved her life, yet continued her ghost research (without her husband’s knowledge, of course).

For all those people who wanted to see Danny tell his parents he was the “ghost boy”, there you have it. Of course everything was changed back to the way it was suppose to be and they don’t remember it, but still, he told them. One of the only things that bothered me was how easily Jack Plasmius and Maddie believed Danny about the time travel and whatnot.

Then I remembered who I was talking about: scientists who base all their research on ghosts.

The animation was stellar—it seems to get better with every episode. I loved how Maddie’s lab was designed (defiantly a girl’s space). The overall dislodge was terrific. Funny yet was serious when it needed to be. My favorite line *has* got to be Danny’s:

    “Gnarly!”

Oh, and Sam’s: “When you see Danny, tell him…” had the D/S shipper in me squealing with both delight and slight annoyance at how she was cut off *again*. But it was still so worth it.

Ok, now you’re going to have to excuse the ferocious corniness and fangirlish-ness of this last statement but I’m going to say it anyway…

Danny just looked so stinkin’ cute in his 80s’ clothes!

Sorry, I just had to get that out of my system. ^_^

Ever wonder what would have happened if Vlad had married Maddie? Who picked Jazmine for a name and what Jack really thinks of the name Danny? Those not so burning questions are answered in this episode.

After Vlad taints Sam and Tucker with Ecto-acne, he forces Danny to find a cure, not only for his best friends but his mortal enemy as well! Danny decides to go the easy route and ask for Clockwork's help. Clockwork disagrees but doesn't outright prevent Danny's meddling, allowing Danny to go back to the 1980s to prevent Vlad accident. Upon returning to the future, he finds that he didn't just change the past, he changed the future!

This episode is teeming with 80s references. So the 90s gen might be a little lost but parents and older siblings (and the over 20 fans) will be laughing at their childhoods come back to haunt Danny and Jazz.

Like, you shouldn't miss this episode. It'll be like, totally a classic!
  • After Vlad infects Sam and Tucker with a severe case of Ecto-ache, Danny is convinced the only way to save them is to change the past so that Vlad never gets his powers, but now he's changed the past, what else can go wrong?

I loved this episode. It's as simple as that!

The beginning, where Jack And Maddie walk into Nasty Burger in 80's garb, is every teenage nightmare. And nevertheless, Jazz was tormented. Asking Sam to be her sister was great. And better yet, Nate get's it all on camera!

When Vlad comes in with his ecto-ache was great. Not over-played, not too dramatic till it was cheesy, the writers got his part down perfectly. The writers seemed to have out-done them selves this time.

One I saw Clockwork, I started holding my breath. You know that whenever a main character goes into the past to change something, it's ganna come out in the worse possible way.

"At least I blend, it's better than being called a-"

The 80's was exactly how anyone would imagine it, a total trashed-bad-taste-in-clothes-and-music place. Only better. The first ghost-portal dialog was perfect, to the movements of the characters, it was exactly how it was played out the first time. And that made me pleased.

But the only thing that bugged me through-out the entire time-traveling experience is, what ever happened to the time medallions? I suppose since Clocky was keeping a watchful eye over Danny the entire time, I’d let that one slide.

In an Alternate time line Jack isn't just Jack... He's Jack Plasmius! I'd have to say that he plays a better Plasmius than Vlad does.

Maddie's lab is just how I imagined it, Pink. Lots of pink. This is the part that really confused me though... But it was nicely played out, but moved a bit too fast for my time mind to comprehend.

My problem with the alternate time line, Vlad and Maddie kiss, even though it's not shown, they do, and how often do you see Maddie and Jack "making-out"? Never.

The ending was the icing on the cake. Just to see Danny in 80's clothes made me melt into the floor, doing my best not to scream (We had company downstairs).

Just for Danny's new outfit I have to give this episode 10/10, Animation was wonderful, better than ever, written wonderfully. This has to be my favorite episode of the year, so far!

I saw the sneek peek for this eppy a few days previose of when it aird and I was a bit woryed about Butch Hartmans sanity... I thought it would be out of charicter. I was afraid of not having the funny Jack but my worys were put to rest when I actuly saw the eppy! It was verry funny. When Jack and Maddie came to the nasty buger all I could do was gape! I mean It was so sad it was halariose! Some times I wish my parints would publicly imberis me so I wouldn't be so board but they stay to them selfs... not the same as my grandma who totaly imbesit me when she took me soping for bras... but thats off topic... sortof... and now I'm the one who imberises my self I dont need any help. Now on another note I like the aproche they did with Vlad. I mean he never did seam that interested in ghost. He was just there for Maddie... and when he and her were kissing or going to kiss I nearly gagged. I don't think them being together would ever be ment to be... I loved how they said Clockwork would do something then he said "No" basicly. The diet cola being the fatle ingrediant was pricles and I loved how at the end Danny was dancing on the stage with his parints it was funny happy and cute! I also liked Mike and his camra! "This ones going on the einternet!"

Now I'm woryed though because Vlad has discoverd that Danny is strongly motivated when his friends are in dager... and that brings another note... who else has knowtest Danny has the sicret Identaty thing back words... Hes sapose to have it so his enamys don't know who he is and so his famly would be safe from them and the poparotsy.... but all his enamys know his identaty...of corse he never thought about that he only wanted to stay of his parints expiriment table.... and Jack not likeing Dannys name kind of explains a few things.... like why he said Jazz was his favrit in Hospital House.... well maybe I mean he probly wouldn't base his likings on a name... but this is Jack were talking about... and one last thing... I know he was hit by the same blast but I realy didn't expect him to look exactly like Plasmios and he did exsept his eyes.... I mean Jack has way difrent tast and a way WAY difrent pursanality... but any way still liked it all in all. Danny finding new respect for his famaly and we even saw that although Danny cant see it his parints would axsept him... maybe he knows maybe he just likes having the secrit and is afraid of them trying to keep him from fighting... like Valereis father stoped her....

This episode was pure awesomeness!!! It was completely hilarious, well-written, suspenseful, and.. what else?... oh yeah, an EXCELLENT episode! I loved Danny's 80's outfit, he looked so cool in it! And Maddie's was cool, too. I also liked how Jazz kept on saying she was adopted and stuff when her parents and/or Danny did embarrassing things. And Jack had a cat!!! Yay!!! Best of all, Clockwork came back! That was the best!

And Sam came SO CLOSE to telling Danny her feelings... SO CLOSE!!! Luvvved that part! Guy Moon had some pretty cool music, too... a couple parts even made me cry! Jack Plasmius almost made me fall off the couch laughing, and so did the part where Jack called Danny 'Davey'. Tee hee, good times...

I took a point off because I thought it was a little rushed. They should've made it into a movie, because it was a little too short and hasty. But otherwise, I loved it!
  • To save his friends from the death of ecto-acne, Danny goes to the past to stop Vlad from getting it but the consequences are dire.

Danny is sitting with his friends at Nasty Burger when Jazz runs in yelling "hide!" Their parents come in dressed in 80s clothes and the kids in the Nasty Burger laugh at them. Danny and his friends leave out the back when Vlad in ghost form shows up. Danny transforms but doesn't attack when Vlad goes weak and transforms back to human and on his face is ecto-acne but this time it's a serious case and Vlad gives it to Sam and Tucker. Vlad tells Danny to find a cure or his friends will perish along with him.

Back at the house, the Fentons are trying to help them but can't find anything to get rid of the ecto-acne. If they don't find a cure soon, they'll all perish. Danny goes to Clockwork for help and at first he refuses to take Danny back to his parents' college days for the consequences of messing time could be dire. Danny doesn't care as long as Tucker and Same will be saved. Clockwork agrees since Danny will learn things the hard way.

Danny is sent to the past and goes to the science room where he sees a young Maddie, Jack, and Vlad. Danny sees his dad fill the ghost portal with diet cola instead of ecto purifer and when Jack turns the portal on, Danny pushes Vlad out of the way from being hit. The beam goes around and almost hits Maddie but Vlad saves her and tells him he saved her life. Danny heads back to the present but discovers things have changed.

In this alternate universe, Jack is single and has acquired ghost powers and Vlad and Maddie have married and are living in Wisconsin. Turns out that when Danny changed the past he changed the present. Instead of Vlad getting zapped, his dad got it instead.

Now Danny's in a race to change the damage that's been done so he can exist and his parents can be together. Can he do it though?

An awesome episode that brings to light what would have happened if things were differnt. A MUST SEE!
