A ghost hunter named Skulker is after Danny’s head, while Danny tries to keep him off him.

"Great"
After tanking a biology test, Danny tries to do an extra-credit report on a purple-back gorilla, which means a trip to the zoo to study one for him, Sam, and Tucker. But at the same time, Skulker, a collector of things rare and unique, is on the hunt for Danny. He tries to capture Danny at the zoo, but is thwarted by the gorilla. But at his house, he uses Tucker’s PDA to upgrade his technology! Capturing Danny seems easy now, but Tucker’s PDA comes with some side effects.
This, I felt, was the first episode of the series that really got me hooked onto the show. But in a way, that is a little hard to say, since it was actually a while before I saw the whole episode. But when I did, I had laughed several times and had also been rather excited by the battle scenes after the less amount of humor and somewhat mediocre battle scenes in MM and PB.
This is the first we see of Tucker as the not so reliable friend. Even though his blaming of Sam for letting the ghosts out of the thermos bugged me a bit, since it was his fault, he was still really funny the rest of the way. And we also see the first at being really technology-obsessed, along with meat-obsessed. His parts with trying to hide the ghost fight in Danny’s room, as well as at the zoo at the end, were both hilarious and represented how he was throughout.
Sam was done fine for OoaK. While she didn’t grab my attention in the way that PB did, she was still IC with trying to prove Sampson (Delilah) should be set free and also trying to get Tucker to stay focused during the fights. Just one thing I didn’t like about her, and that was with her taking the picture of Danny and Tucker sleeping. The sleeping thing itself, while partially funny, it just seemed thrown in there, as well as Sam taking the picture of it.
The action scenes for OoaK were great, the kind that we had not seen as of yet. The camera panning and zooming helped to improve the quality of the scenes, and up until Public Enemies, the ones in this were the best the series had. The humor was in the right places, and the seriousness was also in the right places.
Speaking of the humor, there was quite a lot of it in OoaK, referring to what I said earlier. The opener with the introduction of the Box Ghost, while not exactly really funny, it was still funny. I hadn’t thought that much of the goofy guy, but now I’ve found him to be a pretty funny guy with how dramatic he tries to sound. It first got really funny in the first scene with the Ghost Gabber. The fact that it always said “Fear me” after everything Danny said was drop-dead funny, and the scenes with Connie from Genius Magazine were even funnier, especially when Danny shut the door on her and Maddie.
The ending, I felt, was done alright. The fact that Sampson was actually a female gorilla was an interesting surprise, and I thought it was cool for Danny to be put on Genius Magazine for it. But what bugged me at that part was Lancer raising his grade from a D to a C. I just felt that wasn’t what he deserved after what he had been through. But his taking out of anger on the Box Ghost at the very end raised its quality back up again, and still ended the episode on a high note.
For some reason, I don’t have as much to say about OoaK as I do on other episodes. The humor was there, the action was there, and OoaK ranks the closest out of my Top 10 at 8.9/10.
