  • Danny must save his parents' marraige from ending in divorce, organize a temporary truce with his enemies, stage a prison riot/break out, and retrieve his father's anniversary gift to his mother from Walker's office.

The animation where Danny travels into the Ghost Zone for the first time is simply flawless. The animators have perfectly captured the eeriness and Danny's uneasyness about the place.

The scene where Jazz is freaking out because her father did something totally "not" in her evaluations on him is hilarious. She learns that even an absentminded one-track mind parent can do something completely spontaneous for his loved ones.

The one thing I don't like in this episode is when Maddie hits the tail of the Spectre Speeder, accidently sending Danny into the Ghost Zone. You'd think the parents would have noticed the vehicle and their son missing.

I really loved the ending, when Maddie finally opens up her anniversary gift from Jack. His "gift" and their reaction was priceless.

It was also nice to see a new family member for a change. Alicia, Maddie's sister, was a hoot.

  • Danny accidentally gets thrown in ghost prison when he runs into a new enemy, Walker.

    "Superb"
This episode is okay, but it wasn't my favorite. I don't care too much for Walker, he gets on my nerves (maybe that's why my sister likes him so much, lol). I did like the part when Sam and Tucker traveled into the ghost zone to find and free Danny. I thought it was funny when they were running away from the dragon ghost and then realized they could phase through walls. The part I didn't care for was when Danny agreed to work and fight alongside his enemies to break out of jail. It just wasn't right; there was something wrong with that scene.
  • Great episode. But I hate Walker! (Of course I'm supposed to because he's a villain but I don't know many who like him.)

This episode was great. It was fairly interesting to see Danny join up with his foes to break out of prison. I mean Walker had no right to put him there. I think he just enjoys doing that. Still wow when I saw this episode I had bitterness towards Walker. And I still do. He's not as bad as Vlad mind you. But he's still a pretty big bad guy with a lot of things I don't think many DP fans like. But this is good I'm very glad they came up with a character like this. One not many would like. It makes the story all the more enjoyable. Top off with the slap sticks comedy. And Danny learning more. Including how the ghost zone works. Also if I remember right this is our first look at it also.

I liked this episode. There was just something about it that made me like it. Technically it was the first time the ghost zone was shown so that was good. I have no idea what else to write for this review...um so I guess I will just ramble, on and on. Feel free to stop reading the rest of this review will have nothing to do with Danny Phantom, or this episode I am supossed to be reviewing. So, what to write about, hmmm(thinking)mmmmmm! I've got nothing, but luckly I am just about to hit the 100 words mark now!
  • Danny Phantom is sent to jail!To make things wrost all his enemies happen to be in the same jail.Makes for a good episode.

When Jack forgets his wedding anniversary for the 18th time in a row,Danny fears his parents might get a divroce. His fears only increase when Maddie goes to visit her sister alone.Jack decides to go and apologize, which leaves Jazz and Danny home alone.Danny tries to clean up the house in to try and make his mother happy, but he accidently knocks his dad's anniversary and apologe gift into the Ghost Zone.Danny fears his mistake may cause his parents to split up,so he plans to go to the Ghost Zone and get it back, while Tucker and Sam monitor him.

Else where Jack makes it to Maddie's sister's place and tries to find the right words to say to his wife.He takes the advice of three strangers.Mean while Danny goes to the Ghost Zone and finds the gift, but he is arrested by the Ghost Zone's self appointed sheriff Walker.Walker says that Danny broke the rules by bring a earth item to the GZ and throws him in his prison. If Danny being in prison wasn't bad enough the prison also holds his enemies(Skulker,Technus,Desiree,Lunch Lady, and the Box Ghost),they all want to get revenge.Sam and Tucker decide to go into the Ghost Zone and rescue Danny.Danny runs into his enemies in the lunch hall, but he convince them to work together with him so they can break out of prison. The ghost unite against the guards and break out,but Danny goes to fight Walker and get his dad's gift back.

Tucker and Sam discover that humans in the Ghost Zone are the ghost(meaning they can go through walls and other objects),Danny confronts Walker but the sheriff bring him down and steps on him.Walker starts telling him about what he can do to him when Sam and Tucker come and tell Danny about their discovery.Danny turns human and finds that Walker can't touch him.He than takes the gift and leaves with his friends, while Walker starts yelling.Jack finally finds the words he needs to apologize to Maddie and tell her how much he loves her.He is about to give her his gift, but realizes he left it at home, but Jazz and Danny come with the gift. The episode ends with Danny's parents finding the Box Ghost and they hunt it.

A great episode we see what happened to Danny's enemies when they were sent back to the Ghost Zone.Danny gets another new enemy in Walker who actually thinks he is the good guy, which is an interesting notion considering all his rules are unbelievable and almost impossible to follow.Get some insight on Danny's parents Jack and Maddie.I think Walker is great villain some ight not think so because he didn't fight in this episode at all.
  • When Danny accidentally knocks Jack’s anniversary present for Maddie into the Ghost Zone, worrying they may split up, he heads in to get it back.

Jack forgets his and Maddie’s wedding anniversary for the eighteenth year in a row, leaving Maddie very angry. Danny hears her say “divorce” as she leaves to see her sister in Arkansas. He fears they may split up as he tries to clean the house while she’s gone and Jack leaves after her. But while he’s cleaning, he accidentally knocks Jack’s present for her into the Ghost Zone! Fearing the worst, Danny heads in to get it back, but he is captured by a warden named Walker and imprisoned with nearly every villain he’s ever faced.

This wasn’t the worst episode, but it just didn’t exactly grab me the way most episodes in DP do. There were plenty of parts I liked, but others made it feel a little bit lackluster.

The opening wasn’t entirely good. Jack’s jumping into showing Danny the Specter Speeder when there was no way of telling that Danny was referring to it when wanting help with his homework wasn’t very great. But seeing that Jack is overzealous with ghost hunting, that was still IC. That goes the same for his constant forgetting of his and Maddie’s anniversary.

Seeing the Ghost Zone for the first time was very cool. Also, I felt Walker’s power to project a giant hologram of himself was very cool; it left Danny feeling quite intimidated.

As for Walker himself, he is a very cool villain. His being a rule freak could have made the episode turn sour, but whenever he seemed to refer to the rules, it was still done in a remarkably evil and sinister way. And he offered a little humor as well, especially when he was telling Danny who he was.

Sam and Tucker were minor once again in this episode, but they played a good role in trying to calm Danny down and help him out. And they offered their humor as well. Tucker was IC when he played ping pong on his PDA.

I didn’t like the way Jazz was throughout the most of this episode. I saw her not taking Vlad’s flirting with Maddie in BR seriously, and the same seemed to apply with Maddie getting angry with Jack, only more so. It seemed selfish and obsessive of her to only worry about the fact that she may be wrong once in a while, and it also seemed a bit FOP.

I enjoyed seeing Danny’s old enemies back, although I wished they would have had more dialogue. Skulker took center stage mostly, and Technus and Desiree had no dialogue at all. The Box Ghost was very funny with his usual attempts at being dramatic, and I liked that they worked together to beat Walker.

Danny was very good in this episode. He was freaked that Jack and Maddie may split up; I’m sure any child would feel that way in that situation. And I enjoyed that he was working hard to clean things up. I also liked that he seemed bound and determined to retrieve Jack’s parents, even though he was clearly frightened of going into the Ghost Zone. It was very noble of him. And his cleaning of the lab with his ghost rays was good for a laugh.

Having a thoroughly good look of the Ghost Zone for the first time was very interesting. The animation that went with it was very nice, and I find it cool that humans can phase through everything in it.

One last thing. I didn’t like the gross humor we were given at some parts, and I’m referring to Jack trying to find somewhere to go to the bathroom. It wasn’t that bad to start, but the end with the rhubarb pie threw me off completely. It seems a bit too reminiscent of FOP’s “Truth or Cosmo-Quences”, even though I believe that was done far worse.

Honestly, there is not a lot I can say about PoL. The action was pretty good, Danny was good as a character, and I give it 7.6/10.
  • not a very good episode

    5.4
    "Mediocre"
This was one of the episodes that I wouldn't mind missing. I mean Danny's enemies working together with him to stop a some ordinary prison owner is ridiculous. Not only that it showed too much Danny and not enough jack fenton. I just did not like this episode. The storyline is also not good I mean the worst tragedy here is danny almost getting killed by walker. There was barely any excitement in it also and Walker is the worst ghost to ever be on danny phantom. Even the Lunch Lady is cooler than walker. To top it all off walker is the biggest hippocrit on the show.
  • Danny accidentally knocks his dad's anniversary gift into the ghost zone and he has to get it back before a possible divorce between his parents. Unfortunately, the ghost prison warden has it and he won't give it to Danny. Danny is arrested and must work

A good episode. It has the classic plot where the hero must unite temporarily with the bad guys to defeat another one. My favorite part was when the lunch lady fought off guards with a giant chicken drumstick. That was a laugh. The action was pretty good during the prison break. Too bad the way Danny defeated Walker was by morphing back to his human form. Walker was left unscathed. At least there was action before that. The suspense was when it looked like Danny was going to be crushed when he wasa outnumbered by all of his past villains. More of a bully scene. Where was Dash for that part? LOL.
  • On my top 5. For sure.

Danny finds his dad building the Specter-Speeder and Jack pushes him in it to check it out. While Danny is inside the machine, Maddie comes in and gets angry at Jack for forgetting their anniversary and bangs the machine, sending Danny through the portal and into the ghost world. While he is inside, he bumps into a ghost warden named Walker, who tells him that he has broken a set of rules and sends him off with a warning. Danny goes back to the lab, where his parents are still arguing and didn’t notice his disappearance.

Maddie gets angry and packs her bags to visit her sister Alicia and mentions the word divorce to Jack. Danny overhears them and thanks that his parents are getting a divorce. Jazz doesn’t seem too worried in the beginning, but when Jack decides to go after Maddie, she loses her self confidence and doubts herself. Danny starts cleaning the house so that his mother would be happy to see the house spotless when she came back. He uses his powers to clean the lab and accidentally throws Jack’s anniversary present for Maddie through the portal.

Jack goes to see Maddie to apologize and change her mind. Meanwhile, Danny decides to go into the ghost world again to retrieve the present. He keeps contact with Sam and Tucker while he is in there, while they are in the lab and giving him directions on where to go next. Danny enters one of the doors and once again encounters the Box Ghost. Before they can fight, both Danny and the Box Ghost are captured and sent to Ghost Jail, where Danny meets all his rivals that he fought in his world. Tucker and Sam also use the Specter-Speeder to go through the portal so that they don’t run into Jazz and get lost once they are inside.

Now Danny must find someway to not get into trouble with all the villains AND try to find a way to escape from jail and go back.

I thought this episode was fantastic! Before I saw this episode, I actually kept thinking on what it would be like for Danny to fight all the ghosts, if they got together to beat him, and this episode sort of showed a little preview of that. Besides that, the whole Jack-Maddie-Alicia scenes were hilarious!

This is definitely one of the better Danny Phantom episodes that I watched, and I wouldn’t mind seeing it again.

Danny's first trip into the ghost zone is not a pleasent on e when he runs into the ghost zone's warden, and causes trouble for himself, this is one of a few episodes where Danny has to team up with his enemies to stop a bigger threat. This episode showed how much Danny loves his parents, he was afraid that they were going to get a divorce after a fight that even though scared he went into the ghost zone to get his mom's present. very touching.
  • This another good episode. Seeing Danny and his foe's work together was great. I also loved seeing Walker he's great. The action and comedy was great. Also loved how the box ghost got a big part. And seeing Skuller help fight with Danny was a hoot. It was

While Prisoners of Love wasn\'t my favorite episode by a long shot, I will admit it was very well done. I enjoyed seeing all of Danny\'s old foes again. Particulary the Lunch Lady ghost (I LOVE her lines)

Another high point of the episode was seeing Danny and Skulker actually fight together, they apparently make quite the teams, when they\'re not hunting eachother.
