I didn't really find anything special about this episode. It was about Vlad accidentally bringing the king of all ghsots, Pariah Dark, back to life. He plots on revenge by taking over the world. Vlad uses Danny and Vlareie as his pawns so he can accomplish what he started. Well, that doesn't work out too well, because an evil army of ghosts are invading Amity Park, causing it to separate from the rest of the world and into the Ghost Zone. My favorite part was when Danny was about to leave, he tells Sam if there's anything she has to say, she should say it before he leaves. She was about to say it, but he had to go. This same thing happened in Phantom Planet, but they end up in a kiss at the end. I loved that part! So, Danny fights Pariah Dark and locks away forever. In the end, he finds himself at home with everyone he knows seeing if he's alright. I thought this episode was good, but not all that.

Danny Phantom's worst enemy Vlad Plasmius accidently releases Pariah the king of all ghosts. He tries to team up with The Fright Knight, but the Fright Knight ends up teaming up with Pariah.

Soon Danny has to get help from every single ghost enemy he's ever faced. Johnny 13,The Box Ghost,Technus,Desiree,Skulker,Ember,Poindexter, and others.

He soon gets the ecto suit that his mom and dad made and uses it to defeat Pariah, the only problem is it takes energy out of him everytime he uses it.

He soons defeats Pariah by sending him back into his Sarscoffigus and saves the day once again.

Sam almost tells Danny she loves him as well, which was an epic thing for this series. Also Valerie now started liking Danny.

Holy Jesus, Its hard do describe just how awesome this epsode is.Amazing music, action and adventure, I'm thrilled by just how Fantastiaclly Epic this is. Too bad Danny Phantom isnt a PG-13 shows, the opportunities that this episode could take if te Show was PG-13 rated! This has a Lord-Of-THe-Rings-esque battle beetween Pariah and Danny, I could imagine Lord Of the rings-type Epic music in the Background (The type they didn't use)! THIS is a perfect example of a epic battle beetween good and evil, this is the perfect series finale and also an amaing try for the first Danny Phantom Movie!

One of the many parts of Danny Phantom that I love that comes through seasons one and two is Danny's increasing darkness. His Power abuse goes all the way back to "Splitting Images", here its even pointed out by Vlad who plays an amaing role of both an Ally, enemy and secretley a mentor to Danny, pointing out how simliar they are. I also love how Danny and Valerie's relationship is advancing in here, Personally my favorite couple is Danny/Valerie and I also love seeing Sam Jealous. Again, Danny's increasing darkness is the most amazing part in here where they managed to add it in here without any inteference in the plot, it just adds awesomeness to the movie. Vlad: It feels good to use your powers on your enemies, doesn't it, Daniel?

    Danny: Actually, yeah, it does.

    -

Vlad: Sneak attack, very good, Daniel. You're getting more like me with every battle.

Danny: I am nothing Like you!

Vlad: Oh, you're not? Using your powers to get back at people you don't like? Throwing the first punch? You're more like me than you know.

Even a small part of power abuse can grow into a all-evil Vlad Junior- And does in "The Ultimate Enemy" where it leads him to cheat on a test and then become worst than Vlad Jnr.

Danny: It kills ya, doesn't it? How much they love each other?

Here, Danny again uses Vlad's main weakness against him, very similiar to what he did in "Bitter Reunions".

One of the most ironiaclly funny scenes in Reign Storm:

Danny And Vlad: I can't let her see me like this!

Its funny how they're saying it at the same time, same tone, same pitch.
  • This is one of the best episodes of all time!

I LOVED this episode/TV movie for a million different reasons. To name a few: the amazing animation in the scene where Danny transforms inside the ecto-skeleton. And the ecto-skeleton! It was a phantastic idea to have a battlesuit that could be fatal because it makes everything more exciting and could later be used in the series. (Secret Weapons) This episode also showed how brave Danny is (I'm SO proud of him for facing his fears) and how he owes up to his responsibilities by trying to make up with Dash (even though it's all Dash's fault for starting it, Baxter deserved that, and Dash shouldn't have been so harsh on Danny in the end). Plus, I LOVED Sam's reaction to finding out Valerie liked Danny because it proved how attached Sam is to him. (And at least Val has good taste!) Valerie also seemed like a much nicer person in this eppy (to Fenton at least) and the ghost zone animation at the beginning was spooky. (That's a good thing!) There were a lot of morals, great sound effects, the way the Casper High students cheered for Danny was Phantastic, Pariah's a cool villain, the Fright Knight is drawn perfectly, the idea of ghostly enemies working together as allies ruled, and to sum the entire thing up in two words: it rocks!
  • Pariah Dark, the king of all ghosts has escaped into Danny's world, and Danny must team up with his enemies and risk his own life to save Amity Park from certain doom.

It's episodes like this one that make me feel glad that I watch Danny Phantom. Pariah Dark (the king of all ghosts), along with his loyal servant the Fright Knight, have escaped into Danny's world and have pulled Amity Park into the ghost zone. Danny, knowing that he is the only one that can save everyone, dons a suit that could be deadly and flies into the ghost zone to put Pariah Dark back where he came from.

This episode had me on the edge of my seat from the word go. Even Danny's enemies, Skulker, Ember and the rest, are afraid of the ghost king and will do anything to stop him, including helping Danny Phantom.

Danny risks everything to save his town and everyone he loves, just like a true superhero. A top episode.

This is the best episode ever! I absolutely loved this episode. Vlad is my ultimate favorite character and seeing him fighting Danny in one scene, and then fighting with Danny in the next was wonderful. I liked the parts where Vlad came to Danny's school and then fought him in the foorball field, and then when Danny wanted to talk to Vlad about his motives, so he shoots out the streetlight and then fights Vlad because Vlad said he was getting more like him with every battle. Another good part was when Valerie, Vlad, and Danny all worked together to fight the Fright Night and his army. This episode was amazing!

this was my favorite Danny Phantom movie!! Butch Hartman has out done himself once again. i think he out does himself every episode he writes. wait does he write the episodes. i think he does anyway. i'm gonna send in a drawing i drew and maybe he'll use it in the new episodes. i hope so that would be so awesome. This is totally my favorite movie because you could tell Sam wanted to tell Danny how she felt and he was so powerful at the end and it was cool that he beat the ghost king and he even got to duplicate himself, but only cause of a major power boost. sooo... any one can message me and we can talk about Danny Phantom.
  • This literally is why I watch this series, seeing as it is what truly got me into this show in the first place.

This episode is, in a word, tremendous.

For a long time I had written off Danny Phantom without ever seeing an episode. Gradually I watched it when it was on if I had nothing else to do. The day it aired, I was watching something else (don't remember what) before it and was secretly looking forward to seeing the movie as well; I was admitting to myself that it was growing on me.

So I made popcorn and watched it, and I got hooked.

Needless to say, I wasn't all that well-versed in the show, and I wasn't familiar with the villains or the inventions or even really the characters. Even so, I was enthralled. And now that I am familiar with the show, my fondness for the movie has only grown.

It is funny, serious, exciting, and dramatic. It is a pivotal point in Danny's life regarding his relationships, powers, and responsibilities. In this episode are practically all of the things that make this show wonderful.
  • While attempting to steal the Ghost King's crown and ring, he awakens. Now the most powerful ghost of them all is back. And Danny must defeat the Fright Knight, a ghost army, and the Ghost King. While saving his family, friends, and foes.

    This was perfect.

Well written, awesome music, great villain.

    First, the script.

The script was amazing, an all powerful villain arrives, Danny must stop him to save the world (or something), and all of his enemies band together to help him... SWEET.

    The music.

Guy Moon and the other music people deserve much needed credit. And a promotion. The music was, amazing. It was different, yet familiar, and it matched the setting. Amazing.

    The villain.

The Fright Knight (one of my favorite villains), Paraih Dark, and Vlad all appear in this episode. The Knight's role made sense. Every King needs a knight.

The King was all powerful, and had the perfect acting voice, Brian Cox, how cool is that.

Vlad returns, and in my opinion redeems himself. In Bitter Reunions, he made an excellent debut.

In Shades of Gray, he made some cameo appearances to give Valerie her ghost hunting equipment, that was so vague and mysterious.

In Maternal Instincts, I personally think that his rep was ripped to shreds and blended. He was made out to be sappy and not as villainous.

In Million Dollar Ghost, better, reformed his rep. But it seemed that he actually tried to destroy Danny by placing a bounty on his head. He still was a good villain, not as good as in Bitter Reunions.

In Reign Storm, he had a total Slade/Robin vibe while confronting Danny. That was sweet. And he fooled Jack into believing that he was still his friend. Maddie forgives his actions in Maternal Instincts and he now leaves the scene with the Ecto Suit, the Crown of Fire, the Skeleton Key, the service of the Fright Knight, and everyone thinking he saved Danny's life.

All in all, script, music, villains, and everything was perfect.

The only thing I didn't like, was the fact that Reign Storm didn't recieve a special intro like the other FOP movies.

I mean, HELLO, even My Life as a Teenage Robot, Escape from CLuster Prime, got a special intro. If Reign Storm got a special into, more bonding scenes with Jazz and Danny, then I would give this a perfect 10.

I still think it's near perfect, despite my critism.

A great first TV movie. That ring of rage thing was from the Lord of the Rings, but who cares. I liked this ep. Danny can finally duplicate his form, yay. There was plenty of action and drama. God, Sam was so close to telling Danny about how she feels about him. Oh well, maybe some other time. Also, this was another classic case of where the enemies and the hero join forces together to take out a bigger threat. It's about time this was done. I hopw other TV movie events will be just as good or even better.
  • The all-powerful ghost king, Pariah Dark, attacks Amity Park with his massive army in search of a ring stolen from him.

    "Perfect"
Vlad is in the keep of Pariah Dark, the king of all ghosts. There, he plans to steal the Crown of Fire and the Ring of Rage, to make himself all-powerful. But he accidentally awakens the king after getting the ring. Pariah then sends his skeleton army to Amity Park to retrieve the ring, and to show no mercy to whoever stands in their way. Danny sees the army coming and tries to fight them off, with unexpected assistance from Vlad and Valerie. Also useful for him is Jack and Maddie’s new ecto-skeleton. It can improve his power total, but is also potentially fatal. Can he put Pariah back to sleep with the lives of everyone, even his enemies, at stake?

At the time, the commercials that I saw for this movie got me amped up for a new Danny Phantom like none other. But I was still forced to miss the first two minutes or so of this. I was on vacation and we were out, so…yeah.

I didn’t fully understand it at first, but I got a better insight after seeing the whole thing. And as for the movie, it was AWESOME! Loved it!

The opener was done very nicely. Here we finally see what Vlad had in mind for that Skeleton Key. It may have been foolish of him to open the Sarcophagus of Forever Sleep, but he probably expected that Pariah had long since passed on, so no big deal. And I found it funny with his, “I’m a huge fan of your work!” And I enjoyed the Fright Knight being in employment of Pariah. Every king has to have a knight, apparently. And I liked Vlad’s little cry of “Help me…” when he was thrown through the portal.

There’s a lot to talk about for this TV movie, so I’ll start with Vlad. He was brilliant here. I always enjoy seeing enemies teaming up, and here was no different. But it was more than just teaming up to save themselves. Vlad also had his own plans up his sleeve, and he hardly even needed to lift a finger to get it. He keeps Jack clueless, he gets Maddie to lift her grudge against him, he messes around with Danny’s psyche pointing out their similarities, he makes Valerie an unwilling pawn, and he walks away with the Crown of Fire, the services of the Fright Knight, the ecto-skeleton, and he still has the Skeleton Key! I loved just about every minute Vlad appeared; it was very cool.

At this time, Pariah Dark is definitely the most powerful we’ve ever seen. I really enjoyed that there was a real legend behind the guy. Brian Cox did amazing as his voice-over; he made Pariah sound just like an old military general, ruling with an iron fist kind of guy, and that’s really cool. I also loved how all the ghosts abandoned the Ghost Zone due to him. Skulker, Ember, Walker, Spectra, Klemper, etc. All of them feared him enough to hide from him, and that’s pretty cool. It was cool to see them all back, by the way.

This was the point where I didn’t really despise Valerie anymore. I was expecting hers and Danny’s truce from LL to carry over, but I find this better. She didn’t automatically jump to barraging Danny with attacks the second she saw him. She really did seem willing to talk with him, although still a bit grudgingly. And as a regular girl, she grew on me there as well. I liked that she was trying to push Sam to “make a move.” And I found it really interesting that Valerie now likes Danny Fenton. And now her hatred of Danny Phantom seems quite more understandable, with her dad knowing about her hunting secret. Her interactions with Vlad were really cool as well. I had a good feeling from the commercial that Valerie would discover who was sending her the weapons, and that proved to be correct. I also like that Tucker now realizes how potentially dangerous Valerie can be; it seems more like a friend than how he was throughout SoG.

I loved seeing Danny, Sam, and Tucker together in the scenes they were. Both Sam and Tucker were concerned for Danny and how he was acting friendly towards Valerie, and I found it IC that he didn’t seem to be taking it seriously, yet still caring that they were worried. And while I like that Sam and Tucker actually get to see Vlad in this episode, they still don’t interact with him at all. I wonder when we’ll ever see that. I also enjoyed the two of them coming to Danny’s aid in the Specter Speeder, dropping off the ghosts to help him out. And I loved seeing the ongoing D/S conflict back again, with D/V now coming into the picture. There was a point up on the rooftop where I really did think that Sam was going to confess her feelings, but I still had a good feeling that nothing was going to be said. Oh, how I HATE when that happens! The rest was sweet, including when Sam pushed Danny onto the bed near the end.

Danny as an individual was great in RS. Aside from the way he acted towards Sam and Tucker was the way he acted with Dash. His getting back at Dash could have turned sour like in SI, but here I thought was done more believably and developed and not nearly as rushed. And he apologized at the end, which was nice. But I wished he wouldn’t have gotten that wedgie, even though it was probably expected. Also, his getting into the ecto-skeleton…man, Danny seems very willing to sacrifice a lot to save people. I actually wrote a paper in English class about what I thought was a hero and a point where he or she acted truly heroic. I picked Danny, and his situation here. He tried to convince Sam and Tucker that he would be okay, which was IC, but it was using the suit in the first place that was the best. Quite the brave hero he is, and that is made apparent as well in TUE. Also, I really like that 64% of Amity Park think he's a hero now, and that they know of him as Danny Phantom.

The action in this movie was just amazing. Every fight was definitely worth watching, even down to the short one Danny and Vlad had. Fluid, and the fights themselves were massive. The one with Danny, Vlad, and Valerie was incredible in the middle, as well as Danny’s blasting of the skeletons, alongside his enemies at the end. I could really get into it, especially with what was at stake throughout. Although I felt the final battle against Pariah could’ve been better, I LOVED seeing Danny duplicate himself, and where Danny’s energy waned down to 5% and nearly collapsed.

As for the music, Guy Moon outdoes himself once again! Fabulous all around; there was a majorly cool cinematic feel at it, and it did seem like you were watching a feature movie. The three bits I loved the most were just before the mid-point commercial where the town is being encased in the dome, where Danny transforms in the ecto-skeleton (awesome that the suit transformed with him!), and where the town flickers back to reality at the end. A salute to Mr. Moon.

There was also a lot of great humor in this episode. Danny’s pay-backs were done in a way that was funny, and also the gag with “Sorry, standard question” was very funny. I also liked Sam and Jazz getting Jack and Maddie out of the way so Danny could go ghost. On a side note, I did like Jazz’s telling Danny to be careful. Anyway, I also thought the ghosts’ interactions were funny and cool, especially when they were finding their new homes. On another side note, I liked Poindexter here a lot more than in SI. He does seem to take pity on those who get hurt. Also very good was the Box Ghost’s cry of “Never!” to Klemper.

Very little is wrong with this movie, but there were just a few nitpicks that bugged me. The biggest was when Danny melted Dash’s shoes with a ghost ray. I mean, seriously, how can ANYONE not notice that? It happens right out in the open! I also felt that the scene where everyone kept knocking each other down to get to the suit was silly. It sort of made me think, “Geez, does everyone want to risk being killed?” And that’s in a bad way. And as I mentioned, I would’ve loved more to see the final battle go on longer. And I also thought the gag with Nathan was a little unrealistic, but still funny, especially when Sam and Tucker called him at the very end.

Overall, a phenomenal movie. Excellent all around. Pre-movie questions are answered, and future storylines are set up. An epic, action-packed adventure, along with other brilliant storylines that keeps it interesting all the way through.

10.5/10! The fourth best ever! Great job to all!

i think this is one of the best episodes.

very good storyline, with all good characters such as Skulker,Walker,Vlad Plasmius and Ember in it!

    the fights are very exciting.

Danny Phantom and Vlad Plasmius have to become allies to defeat the evil Ghost King(awakened by Vlad).

its very good when Amity Park has been taken over by the Ghost King.

now Danny have to take sides with all of his enemies.

together they begin to fight against the Ghost King, which had taken over the Ghost Zone too.

at the end of the episode,Danny defeat the Ghost King.

surely one of the best episodes.

Reign Storm has several conterversial elementts. Vlad and Valerie helping Danny fight the bad guy, Danny and Valerie getting hooked up, A real bad guy (The Ghost King), and the ghosts helping danny aswell.

This movie shows how powerful danny really is, and how determined he is to clear his name from a bad ghost named inviso-bil to a hero named Danny Phantom.

My favorite scene is at the end when Danny locked the King in forever sleep, turned around to see Vlad, the fright knight, and all the rest of the ghosts toghether. Parley awake, he said, "i don't understand." Vlad says, as Danny passes out, "What, that I used two 14 year old pawns to turn a knight and topple a king? Its chess my dear boy, you'd never understand, but then you never really did." The next thin Danny knew, he was waking up to see the smiling faces of His Mom, , his Dad, Jazz, Vlad, Valarie, Sam and Tucker.

This episode was okay, but could've been alot, and I mean alot better. Nothing major happened to progress in the series; it seemed like we were brought into an all-new storyline for a second, there. for instance: enemies like Skulker, Ember, Poindexter, Technus, and so on, have been in the series for a while. They just made up the ghost king for this one episode. I think this was a waste of air time. If something tragic would've happened, maybe I would rethink my opinion, but for now, I don't think Butch did the best on this episode Seeya.

This is a continuation of The Million Dollar Ghost. Vlad has the key he wanted. He uses the key to open the "Forever Sleep" to get the Crown of Fire and the Ring of Rage. However after he opens it he also awakens Pariah Dark, the king of all ghosts. He hits Vlad so hard it knocks him though Jack's portal. Jack is working on a special battle suit that will increase the wearer's power. The only problem is it drains the person's energy. While they were working on it they notice Vlad who is very weak come from nowhere(they think). Vlad stole the Ring of Rage. Pariah's ghosts then look for it in Amity Park. To stop this Danny decides to use the battle suit. But can he survive? This special hour episode has an amazing plot with excellent action. If you like Danny Phantom you must see this.

  • All things considered, pretty good. Vlad, in his insane quest for power, unleashes the King of All Ghosts, who is intent on taking back his power over the Ghost Zone. This causes Danny to team up with his enemies to save both worlds.

    7.6
    "Good"
Honestly, the first time I watched it, I felt disappointed. But the second time, I got a better look and really appreciated it. It was an ideal episode jam-packed with action, suspense and a tad of romance from two different sources. (You know who I\'m talking about...)

First off, Pariah. Believe it or not, I had heard Brain Cox (Pariah\'s VA) before, and I loved his work. He played this brain-stoming megolomaniac in Superman:TAS. But boy, did he sound different in this! When I first heard him when he came from the Sarcophagus, I felt ripped off as his voice sounded too old, but as the episode went on, I realized how fitting and (most importantly) condescending the voice was for Pariah. When he played the aforementioned S:TAS character Earl Garver, he had sounded very calm and sophisticated and I had been waiting to hear that voice again. But upon reflection, if he had used his Garver voice, the effect on Dark would\'ve been ruined as it would\'ve sounded too young.

Then there was Vlad, the always welcome arch-enemy, and what strikes me as interesting compared to other superhero shows is that he appears so little. Joker in Batman, Drakken in Kim Possible, Chuckles in Dave the Barbarian; all those guys appeared almost ALL the time, which although makes you feel the character deserves more screentime, also makes sure that you don\'t tire of him like said villains.

Now Vlad did sound high-pitched at times (in voice), moreso than usual which took away from his malevolent nature, but it\'s forgiveable. And his oozing overconfidence to Danny was infuriating which made it all the more enjoyable when Danny whaled on him. And to finish off the subject of Plasmius, I couldn\'t help but notice the subtle similarities made between him and Danny (and not just the ones Vlad mentioned in the show, either).

Now the lesser enemies who actually had voice time. In all honesty, I was pushing fits when I heard Matthew St.Patrick be replaced by Kevin Micheal Richardson for Skulker. Nothing against KMR, I love a lot of his work and he is a great VA. But his voice somehow takes away from the dark nature of Skulker that MSP delivered. That view, however changed after this. KMR gave a great performance of the Greatest Hunter, being able to make certain lines work that I know MSP might\'ve had trouble doing with his higher voice.

Box Ghost and Klemper were actually a humorous pair, still staying loyal to their own obvious flaws and deficiences. And when they paired up to stop the skeletons, I liked the flute playing the higher version of Danny\'s theme, it worked well with the post-mortem morons.

I wish Ember could\'ve had more time in the spotlight. I like her character, and the grudge Danny has against her for FtF.

And then there was Poindexter. I did not like how his story was done in SI. The plot was too cliche and just annoying, but this actually made me notice Poindexter as he\'s different from all the other ghosts. Not one of them cared about the scared people or that they were forcing them from their homes and establishments, but he did and frowned on the others for their behaviour. He could be the only ghost enemy that could actually be considered good, which really gathers attention compared to every other evil ghost.

Valerie\'s smug attitude regarding Danny was a breath of fresh air as a girl really appreciates him outside of the social ladder. And her smiling when he entered a room was worth a chuckle or two.

One little scene that grabbed my focus was after Danny\'s run-in with Dash in the cafeteria and he tells Sam that he\'s gonna start kicking back. The concerned look on her face really shows how worried she is and how much she cares for Danny. Mind you, we already know a great deal about that, don\'t we?

The return of Tiffany Snow, the anchorwoman was funny as her overall perkiness really contradicted the dangerous situation her town was in. And Lance Thunder\'s narcissistic attitude was also a laugh, despite the fact that it was rather cliche.

And lastly, the plot, storyboards and animation. The first part did seem a tad rushed, especially the Val and school scenes, but it managed to slow down around the end of the first part.

The only other beef was with the odd lack of movement on the villains\' part. When Jack and Vlad were fighting the Fright Knight, it seemed like he was doing nothing while the two planned to use the suit. And the same thing happened later when the dragon-riding skeletons just stood there and got fragged. But, oh well, that\'s not too bad.

Overall, pretty good. Definitely better the second time. Never judge a show from its first watching as expectations often cloud your judgement. There were some kinks to get out, and some parts that could\'ve been handled better, but it was still really good, and definitely worth seeing.
  • Not completely original, but it's still awesome!

    "Perfect"
This movie was awesome! Sure, there are some parts that were pretty unoriginal (I don't know if this was intended, but the part where Danny confronts Vlad about the ring sorta seems like it came straight from Teen Titans. I don't know why. Probably because a teenaged boy is fighting a 40 year old white haired guy with a goatee, the guy is noting the similarities between them, and the boy says "I am nothing like you." Yeah, that's probably it.), but this was still very well thought out! I especially liked the Danny/Sam-ness...but you know, that's just my opinion...yeah....

    Anyways, 10/10!

This is by far one of my favorite Danny Phantom episodes.Vlad Plasmius awakens Pariah Dark "The King of all Ghosts!!!" with the Fright Knight by the Ghost King's side and with the combined powers of "The Crown of Fire" and "The Ring of Rage" he seems almost unstoppable. But Vlad gets his hands on the Ring of Rage and gives it to Valerie. Then a deadly game of chess begins and Danny,Valerie, and Vlad has team up to stop the army of ghosts.Plus the debut of the Ecto-Skeleton used to defeat the Ghost King.
  • Reign Storm certainly doesn't skimp on the action sequences, and we even get a taste of the Danny-Sam pairing that fans have been chomping at the bit for... But what was the point?

    "Great"
Don't get me wrong; I like this episode. It's a fine example of what makes this show good; solid action sequences, a threatening character, a near-death experience (which is a funny thing to say about the main character when you think about it too long), and a hint of barely withheld romance that everybody knows is going to bloom (or explode) by the season finale.

A solid threat was present to the universe: Vlad inadvertently awakens the King of Ghosts while trying to obtain his most treasured items (his sources of power, rather conveniently), and in doing so sends Pariah Dark (King of Ghosts and the second most powerful enemy the series has given us in its entire run, the first honour of course going to Dark Danny when the second movie comes along) on a rampage through both worlds, teleporting Amity Park into the Ghost Zone and causing an all-out, if short, war between the forces of Pariah Dark and the forces of the humans and the ghosts who don't like having The Man awake and keeping them down. The action rarely ever peters out, which is a definite plus.

I, however, despite being impressed by the movie itself and its sequences, was left wondering what the point was.

Certainly, I've watched plenty of episodes that don't seem to go anywhere in particular, or at all important. Many of the middle-length episodes don't really have bearing on what happens in the show -- Doctor's Disorders, Pirate Radio, and such similar episodes all contributing the 'filler' aspects -- while the earlier shows, of course, worked to establish the characters and why Danny functions the way he does. The evolution of characters in between the first nine episodes -- Mystery Meat to My Brother's Keeper -- is a bit staggered, but works to show us the Danny we have today (and the Sam, too; she's become much less outspoken since the first episode). The development of character was absolute established again once The Ultimate Enemy aired and not only gave Danny a terrible perspective on the consequences of misunderstanding and thereby misusing his powers, but also allowed both him and Jazz to come closer together as she revealed she knew his secret.

Reign Storm, however, doesn't have any similarly pivotal moments or character introductions; it starts, Pariah Dark reigns some doom (hah, I made an atrocious pun, please shoot me now), Danny beats him up and locks him away, it's over. The only thing that's changed now is that the ecto-suit is introduced to the series (before being destroyed in Secret Weapon) and Damon is now aware that his daughter is a ghost hunter.

Sam came -this close- to admitting her feelings for Danny, but the keywords are -this close-; she didn't, and this act of saying nothing ensures that the love interest is left where it is; stagnant and waiting for the impetus when the world really is on the verge of obliteration and Danny undoubtably takes the initiative (after all, in the two love triangles they've been in, Sam's been aware that he won't listen to what she has to say on the matter; it has to be Danny's decision to say it). The point is pretty well made later on that she missed her chance; the Danny/Valerie triangle is also hinted at in Reign Storm (and kicked off properly later on, in Flirting with Disaster), and in Flirting with Disaster Sam makes it clear that she's done trying and is waiting for Danny's word. Potential of closing up that romance trigon: Zip.

So what we have at the end of Reign Storm is an entertaining hour of life gone by with nothing to show for it according to episode canon and nothing coming of the aftermath in the later episodes: None of the ghosts decide that Danny is a decent guy for helping them stop their world from being taken over by a warlord in a kilt (okay, maybe not, but when you look at Pariah Dark and listen to him can you not see him in a man skirt?), the love triangle is still wide open, and Danny still can't replicate himself.

But then The Ultimate Enemy made everything so much better again.
  • An exciting, action-packed episode!

This was a wonderful action packed hour length episode! We get to see Danny risk his life to save his friends, and his enemies as well, to get rid of the Pariah Dark, the oldest and most powerful king of all ghosts. Danny and Valerie become good friends as well, which Sam finds really frustrating. Vlad is back, but he has something more important than Maddie to think about here. I liked the way Valerie, Vlad and even Danny’s enemies got together to fight the Pariah King.

There is never a dull moment in this episode from start to end, and will keep your entertained throughout.
  • nice and profitable

Danny Fenton now has a problem were he must fight some of the worst known ghosts in the world that includes Skulker, Pahaira Dark and The Fright Knight. Vlad even comes in and gives him a helping hand. As does Valerie. I feel this is the third best episode from Danny Phantom yet to date.
  • Pariah Dark is unleashed upon Amity Park, but is he the one pulling the strings or is he the puppet?

This is the best episode of Danny Phantom to date. It starts when Vlad Plasmius heads into to the ghost zone to try and obtain power through the Ring of Rage and the Crown of Fire. However his plan appears to backfire as Pariah Dark and The Fright Knight are unleashed upon Amity Park. Pariah Dark is so scary that all of the other ghosts, including Skulker, Ember, and The Box Ghost, along with several other of Danny's enemies are actully scared of him. For a while Vlad appears to join the side of good and he helps Danny and the now enemy turned ally Valerie, the ghost hunter. Vlad gives Valerie the Ring of rage that he just managed to steal and she end up losing it to Pariah who begins to use the powers bestowed upon him by it to terrorize Amity Park, even going so far as to move it into the ghost zone! Fortunately Danny is able to get to the Fenton Battlesuit, a battlesuit created by his parents to help fight ghost that appears possibly fatal if used for too long. Danny's father exhausts himself in a test run and has everyone worried about how safe the suit is. However Danny decides to use it anyway to amplify his ghost powers and attack Pariah Dark. He actually manages to rally all of his old enemies behind him and while they keep Pariah's ghost skeleton troops busy Danny heads into Paraiah's Castle's keep to take down the big man. Once inside he has a good knock down drag out fight with Pariah in which he just manages, with some timely assistance from Vlad, to lock Pariah away and stop the threat to his home. However when he returns home he hears some very interesting words from Vlad. "What? You don't understand that I used two 14 year old pawns to turn a knight and topple a king? It's chess Daniel.". By the way, that's seriously one of the best lines I've ever heard. However, in the end, everything is more or less back to normal and now everyone knows about the heroics of Danny Phantom.

Reign Storm had evertyhing, action, humor, romance. Everything you would expect from a Danny Phantom episode. This is the biggest D/S episode so far, so close to a confession and yet... This is my favorite TV Movie along with the Ulitmate Enemy. From the start to the climatic battle with the Ghost King, This episode is non stop action. I give it a 10/10

  • This was by far the greatest Danny Phantom episode I have ever seen.

This Danny Phantom episode was the greatest. Not only was it creative, it really went into character developement, and it was just what I dreamed a real Danny Phantom episode to be like.

I watched this episode after seeing The Ultimate Enemy, and it was a really refreshing change. I find that the Ultimate Enemy episode was too predictable, and though it went more in-depth into Jazz and Danny\'s relationship, it lacked in developing everyone else. On the other hand, Reign Storm, told us a lot more about the people around Danny.

I have to say I especially liked the Danny/Sam moments (as I am an avid Danny/Sam shipper) and this episode, especially this part:

Danny: If there\'s anything you wanted to say to me, now might be an excellent time to do it.

    Sam: I... I...

Was fantastic. More Danny/Sam moments! It really shows how they\'re getting closer together. Though it\'s now proven that Paulina likes Danny\'s ghost side and not the human Danny Fenton, and Valerie likes Danny\'s human side but hates his ghost side, Sam is still the only one who likes him for who he is. Ok, enough random Danny/Sam ranting.

At any rate, this episode was the greatest one I have yet to see, and if you haven\'t seen it...Go and watch it. Now. I mean it. It is the greatest. Really!
  • When the king of all ghosts is awakened by Vlad, Danny instantly finds himself smack in the middle of a game of possibly deadly chess. With Amity Park sucked right into the Ghost Zone, Danny realizes that he'll have to risk his own life to stop the king.

Oh God, this movie is d-best! Totally a hit in my world. And getting it on tape is a real super thing for me (yeah, I recorded it). The complete and utter reason why I love the show. No doubt, it's the highest ranker in my world, and seriously, that's saying something! Butch Hartman does it again! Then again, I will definitely change this after I see 'The Ultimate Enemy', I'm so sure.
  • This TV movie was the best so far.

This is the best TV movie ever of Danny Phantom it was funny, exciting, and a few romance parts between Danny and Sam and between Danny and Valerie. This TV movie brings up the intersting question though does Valerie have feelings for Danny and does Danny have feelings for Valerie. If Valerie has feelings for Danny and if Danny has feelings for Valerie this well put Danny and Sam\'s relationship to the test I\'m just hoping when the time come how\'ll choose Sam. This was a great TV movie but I have feeling The Ultimate Enemy well be better though.
  • this was an amazing episode!! i was very glad when i watched it for the first time. it was like, edge-of-my-seat watchin it, bringing forward so many answers, and arising new questions...

an amazing episode indeed. i was impressed by how much new and exciting situations arose, but i was also disappointed with valerie. i am a HUGE danny fenton/phantom freak; he's my favourite character wouldn'tcha know. when valerie was the one gettin all the bumps and bruises i was shocked, i mean it should hav been more danny related in that case, but the ending helped me decide on how much i luved this episode! i couldn't believe the "fatal" suit, and how close danny came to death. this is def an episode worth watching again and again. it'll get ne one into the series, even if u've nvr seen it! i luved it so much, so for all u guys out there who have nvr seen D.P., or this ep for example, here's what i say to u: WHAT R U WAITING FOR? WATCH THIS AWESOME, ACTION-PACKED, EDGE-OF-UR-SEAT EPISODE!!
