  • Danny has to get a passing grade on his english exam in order to get on the computer and stop Technus from taking over the web.

Even though I'm not too big of a Technus fan, I thought this episode was very exciting. Danny and Lancer bonded a little bit, and after working hard, Danny earned a good grade with his help. I liked how Sam turned out to be the better Doomed player of all three, and she helped her friends stop Technus before he could retirve the last key in the game. Jack was so funny when he thought he should give Danny back his completely destroyed cell phone, too. Plus, Virtual Reality Danny was really way cool. I really enjoy watching this episode.
  • Whoa! Virtual reality is awesome!

Cool! Virtual reality is even better when ghost powers are involved! I wish I could do that to my computer. And virtual Danny is soooo cute as Fenton AND Phantom! I liked the line that went "Master of long-winded introductions! Do you ever stop talking about yourself?!" LOL! It was funny! And I can't believe Danny aced a test that the other kids had way longer to study for...oh, wait yes I do. He's really smart! And it was so nice of him to be so sympathetic about Lancer's "sister". Smart and nice! Yet another fantastic episode I really, really enjoyed watching! Survey says...I'm done!
  • Technus is back and Danny needs to pass the test!! I loved it!

Wowzers!! This was a great episode, even though people don't really like it that much! Technus is sooo boring and Danny makes such funny jokes about it! "Master of long-winded speeches. Do you ever stop talking about yourself?" Hehe!! danny cracks me up and this episode was no exception! Oh and the virtual Danny Fenton and Danny Phantoms were really good-looking!!:D Hehe!! I absolutely thought this was a terrific return of Technus and that game looked awesome!! I loved how Tucker didn't notice how Technus was in the game!! HA!! People thought this episode was mediocre, but I thought it rocked!
  • Technus returns; this time with a plan to control the world through a popular video game.

    "Good"
This is was an okay episode. Like I said before, I don't care too much for Technus or the way he announces all of his plans to the world. The part about this episode that I enjoyed, was the part where Tucker and Danny were treating Sam as if she didn't know anything about video games, but she was really a master at this game called Doomed and she was able to beat every opponent. It was funny to see Danny and Tucker's reactions when they found this out. A part I didn't like, was when Technus was trying to be 'hip.' That part annoyed me greatly.
  • Whenever I watch this episode I wonder what my teachers really think of me like how Mr. Lancer really thinks of Danny. I mean I feel sorry for the big guy, he's like Vlad, an old guy in his probably over fourties, all alone. I just wish Danny figured it.

In this episode Danny has to Ace a make-up test while defeating technus in the Cyber World. Like most Cartoon Teachers who you might think is a total pain like Professor Rotwood from American Dragon, or Denzel Crocker from Fairly Oddparents, but Mr. Lancer is just a teacher who wants all his students to succeed in life

Danny and Tucker are playing a new online game so much that Danny\'s school work is suffering and fails a English test.Technus gets free and plans on rebuilding his battle suit, but when Danny beats him easily he decides to go to the online game to learn new tricks.Danny gets in trouble for failing his test, but Mr.Lancer agrees to give him a make up test.Tucker (unaware of his identity)teaches Technus how to play the game.Technus learns how to be an experet gamer and decides to beat the game so he can go onto the internet and take control of it.Tucker and Sam try to stop him while Danny studies for his retake test.Danny doesn\'t study seriously until he realize how much Mr.Lancer gave up to be a teacher.Danny studies and takes the test and gets an A- on it.Danny than goes online to help Sam and Tucker.Tucker complains saying Technus can use his ghost powers, this gives Danny the idea to use his powers to catch up.Sam and Tucker hold him off long enough for Danny to come.Sam pulls out a super cheat code and beats Technus.Danny throws Technus into level 0 a glitch in the systam whcih a player will be improsined in.Mr.Lancer than comes and beats the trio and wins the game.

It\'s a alright episode for me,I just didn\'t like Technus\' plan.I like the idea of Sam being a better player than Danny and Tucker, but I think Danny should have been the person to beat Technus since he had ghost powers like Technus. The plot just wasn't great for me,the episode is good though.

This is one of my favorite episodes! I like it because it is imaginative! It is cool that Danny gets to go inside a game I would like that to happen to me like with WoW (World of Warcraft)! This episode I would like to be in! But if Danny\'s computer name is \'Ghostboy\' and if Danny Phantom is sometimes called \'Ghostboy\' don\'t you think someone would get supisious! I know Danny\'s computer name because Sam said that Danny is Ghostboy and tucker is Fryer Tuck! Iwonder if Butch Hartman got the idea of Doom(the video game) from WoW(World of Warcraft)!

After a bad time at a new computer game called “Doomed”, Danny accidentally releases Technus. The trio tries to stop him, but he escapes into Danny’s headphones, and then into the game later on. Meanwhile, Danny has failed a test because of playing the game so much and has to take it over. Until then, he’s forbidden from electronic devices, so he can’t get on “Doomed” to stop Technus, who will gain access to the worldwide web if he wins the game. Can Sam and Tucker keep Technus busy, and can Danny pass the make-up?

For a while, I didn’t think of this episode too much. But TotY has great character development and turned out to be a fine episode.

The opener was a nice way to start things off. I thought the game “Doomed” was a little low-tech, but it still seemed like a pretty fun game. But did Tucker have to say that thing about Danny’s hamster. It wasn’t like they were going to die for real. Also, this is the second time Danny accidentally opened the portal, freeing Technus. And it would happen again in IC, except for the portal part. I’m seeing a rhythm here.

As for Technus, he seemed to be still not a very impressive planner, but he was quite a bit smarter than in AotKGS. And he was a lot funnier. I liked that he noticed how his Chaos form was no good, as well as his decision to self-destruct and get to the “Doomed” game undercover. Also, his attempts to sound cool in the manner of saying 70’s lingo were hilarious! And his form in the game was very cool.

This was perhaps the first episode in the series where I could actually sort of relate to what Danny was going through. I’ve never tried to ask a popular girl to a dance, been invited to a cool party, etc. But I have not done well on tests because I’ve played video games instead…although that’s never been pushed to the point of playing until 5:30 AM. Anyway, I didn’t mind with the way he acted in TotY. It’s perfectly realistic for teenagers to care more about the latest video game than about studying. And it was also great that he learned how important schoolwork can be and that he shouldn’t brush it aside. And it seemed to carry over into the game. I like that he can use his powers in the game.

Sam surprised me in this episode. I didn’t expect her to be Chaos, and the fact that she was was a pretty nice surprise. Although she’s unique and often doesn’t follow the crowd, she has definitely proven herself to be “one of the guys.” And I found it funny that she knew quite a bit more about the game than Danny or Tucker did.

Speaking of Tucker, I didn’t enjoy him all that much in this episode. It bugged me a bit that he underestimated Sam a lot more than Danny did, as well as the fact that he couldn’t recognize Technus in the game. One of the reasons why his thinking that the Fright Knight was Danny in the upcoming FK bugged me. But he offered his usual comic relief that kept me smiling.

Lancer…wow. He was done a lot more realistically here than in any other episode I’ve seen. He’s not one of my favorite characters, but he was done great here. We see that he does seem to care about his students’ progress and well-being. He noticed Danny’s mistakes in class, and he was willing to help. And it is a bit clever with his “I don’t get to see my sister” speech. But I find that the picture is him in a dress creepy.

The action in TotY left quite a bit to be desired. But it was good, more or less. I liked that Danny learned how to project a rebounder for the first time. And in the game, while, like I said, the game did look a bit low-tech, I enjoyed that Sam and Tucker did about equally as much as Danny to defeat Technus, or in Sam’s case, moreso.

The ending seriously took me by surprise. I thought Technus being sent to Level Zero was very funny, along with his lines during that time. But did they have to throw in that Lancer wins the game? But Lancer shouting out his name was a bit funny.

There isn’t a whole lot I can point out that is wrong about TotY, except for the stuff I’ve already mentioned. But I did wish that Danny really would’ve taken Sam’s comment about Technus self-destructing more seriously. But he did look worried right after his ghost sense went off there, so not that big of a deal. There was no D/S, but I only say that because of how much there was in the previous premiere FtF, so I was probably expecting too much. The fact that they let it take a back seat for a while is a nice change.

Overall, TotY was a decent episode. Excellent character development on Danny’s part, and I give this episode 8.3/10.

This is my favorite episode. I like the all the video game stuff and Super Mario Bros. references. There is a complete guide for Super Mario Bros. at www.themushroomkingdom.net. This is also my favorite episode because Technus is my favorite villan. Although, I'm not a fast typer. My friend Max and I talked about this episode once and he said "I would rather use the phone to talk. I am glad Mr.Lancer didn't get the short end of the stick in this episode. But why would Mr. Lancer wear a dress and take a picture of it? Over all, this episode is stupendous!

    Go Technus!

This was a great episode because we get to see danny and tucker play video games. Also it was pretty embarrasing for danny and tucker to get beaten by sam and not know it. This was an ironic episode also because most of the time on t.v the girls get their but kicked in video games but it was a twist this time. It was cool how tucker could shoot energy blasts like danny in the video game so in reality it was like he had superpowers anyway. so it kinda helped him deal with the fact he has no powers whatsoever

Danny is hooked on video games. The Fentons’ have a really cool ghost clock. Mr. Lancer is an English teacher. Danny can go into a video game. Danny can use his ghost powers in the video game. So can Technus. Sam is good at video games. Danny can do poorly in school when he doesn’t study or get sleep. Technus wants access to the World Wide Web. He gets trapped in level 0 by our heroes Sam, Danny and Tucker. Who in the end think they are going to have access to the WWW. Mr. Lancer has access to the World Wide Web. It surprised the first time I watched it to see Mr. Lancer win. After all he said about online games being a waste of time. It was great. It kind of reminds me of Code Lyoko.
  • Technis is back and has entered an online computer game that Danny, Sam, and Tuck play. He hopes to win the game and get full control of the internet and the world unless Danny stops him. However, Danny must retake a test he failed earlier while Technis i

A good episode. I like computer games. Danny's outfit for the game when he morphed to his ghost form was tight. Who else thought Danny Phantom's game outfit was nice? Since whn did teachers, especially Lancer, play video games. That was interesting. I also appreciate the fact that girls can be experts at games when Sam was Chaos, and Danny and Tuck couldn't beat her. I am a straight guy. Anyways, the game looked interesting. The problems with this episode was the action between Technis and the gang. It was pretty good at first, but then it sort of slipped near the end. Still, a good episode.

I love the idea of the Doomed video game! It was awesome! The animation for Doomed was great! And Danny\'s costume was the bomb! This episode is in my top three. Oh, and now...I\'m crossing Teacher of my \"What I want to be when I grow up\" list. Danny ROCKS!!!

Great Great Great. A really good episode and This is a good episode because it is more about how hard it is for teens to balance out everything like school home work friends and fun also relaxation. But it was such a great episode on my top 5 one of the best episodes.

Great episode featuring Technus for the second time. In this episode. Danny fails a test because he stays too late playing this online video game. And when he is playing, Technus get's out of the Ghost zone and he gets into the video game. Then he tries to conquer the internet, by collecting the 13 mystical skull keys in the game. Meanwhile, Danny has to take the test again. And Tucker and Sam must drive off Technus while Danny makes the test. He gets a 91. Good one, Butch.
  • This isn't the best episode, but better than the previous two.

Got to admit, I liked Technus in this episode. Him trying to go through a video game to control computers sounds like his style, although I can't believe Tucker didn't realize it wasn't him at first.

Not to mention I can relate to playing video games all night (I've done that several times) It was also interesting to see Lancer in another light, unlike the biased teacher we normally see. Although the part where they had him in a dress was just plain creepy.

My favorite quote had to be "My last form was unstable and I was unable to conceal myself from those annoying children! But this new body was much more-How do the kids say it today?-Far out? In this new body, they shall never know it's me...Technus!" I laughed out loud when I heard that one. Technus trying to sound cool and hip never gets old.

When I first watch Danny Phantom I've been waiting for an episode like this. Then when I first saw this it was a dream come true.It was cool how that it was Sam kicking their buts all along as Chaos and how Technus and Danny could

use their ghost powers in the game.Anyways I give this episode a 10.
  • Episode 12 - Teacher of the Year - My review

    8.5
    "Great"
After playing an online video game with Tucker and losing to someone named Chaos (in the game), Danny angrily throws his Fenton Helmet from his head (which he was using as a game controller) and throws it on the button which opens the Portal. The Portal opens and Technus comes out. Technus sees Danny's video game and thinks of ruling the game world. Danny changes into the ghost mode but loses to Technus and Technus escapes. Danny realizes he's been up all night and doesn’t remember about his test in school either. He fails the test miserably, but doesn’t dwell on it too much because he has to look for Technus. At night, Sam spots electronic gadgets hovering over to the Amity Park, and Danny and Tucker see Technus using the tools to dress himself up exactly like Chaos from the videogame. Danny tells Technus that without updating new moves from the game, Technus cannot beat him, and Technus agrees and self destructs. He goes into Danny's cell phone. After staying up all night, playing the game, and losing, Danny goes to bed and Technus goes into the video game, and starts taking over.

The next day Danny gets an F on his test, and Mr. Lancer tells him to study and retake the rest within the next few days. Danny knows he has to study, but he can’t resist playing the video game. Mr. Lancer catches him playing it and takes Danny to see his parents immediately and tells them that Danny should stay after class and study for the test in school itself.

While Danny is staying back in school, Tucker starts training a new partner in the game, not realizing that it's Technus. Technus's powers seem to grow more for each level they pass, and when Tucker realizes the mistake he made, he need's Danny's help. Luckily, he finds out who Chaos really is before that, and they start to fight Technus, but they know they need Danny's help.

Can Danny prove himself a good student to Mr. Lancer, even if it means sacrificing the opportunity to play his favorite game, and to destroy Technus from taking over the internet?

This was a good episode, mainly because we got to see the whole team fight a bad guy, instead of just Danny. In fact, Sam and Tucker probably had more action in the end that Danny did. This episode had its moments, like Danny studying hard for his test after Mr. Lancer's emotional speech, or when we get to see what the rules of the game and the different levels. Technus was annoying as usual, but I have to admit, he was funny at times, like when he was learning the rules of the game from Tucker.

All in all, this probably wasn’t a personal favorite of mine, but it was fun.

This episodes about,Living dual lives as a high school freshman and a super hero is a balancing act for Danny that just got even tougher, with both Lancer and his parents pressuring him to ace a test. At the same time, Technus, ghost master of technology, has escaped into Danny's online game and threatens to flee into the Internet and take over every computer in the world!!!
  • Nothing beats episodes that include the characters getting inside the exciting world of video games, right? While I defiantly liked this episode, it still could've been better.

    "Great"
Alot of great things about this episode. One of my favorite storylines that involves our hero Danny struggling to live two lives at one time. And what better way to do an episode than to have them getting into the vidoe game world?

Probably what I loved most about TOTY was the return of Technus, one of my favorite villians on the whole show. I just love his voice and hearing him talk and rant on about himself, it's so funny. I especially loved his new body once he got in the game. I wasn't to sure though what to think of him dressing as "Chaos" at the begginning however.

I defiantly loved Mr. Lancer's role in the episode and him getting a bigger major role here. I'm suprised some people say they don't like him. You would think that considering Danny's situation that Lancer would been more too harsh on Danny, but he wasn't. And it was hilarious the "Why don't they ever realize that's me in a dress?" thing he said. Plus seeing him take out Danny, Tucker and Sam in the game at the end was quiet hilarious.

Speaking of the game however, this is where the goods and the bads start. I loved the game itself, but I kinda thought them making the reward for actually beating the game being unlimited access to the Web was stupid. Danny, Tucker and Sam's outfits in the game were awesome. However we didn't get to see much of Danny and Tucker's teamwork in showing how well they are at the game; it was instead them basically getting beat by "Chaos".

And now that we're into that subject, I have to say it being revealed that Sam was Chaos was indeed suprising, but the scene that followed was what made me hate the episode. Sam's cockiness about her thrashing Danny and Tucker and her constintly showing it off was terrible an uncalled for. Who ever said girls couldn't play video games or couldn't play them well? I never did. The writers trying to influnence the ideas of boys vs girls charatcers saying they're better than the others is NOT a good thing. Some people find it funny, but not me.

Another thing that bothered me was the fianl fight. I was expecting to see Danny and Technus duke it out, but instead they just talked to each other while Tucker and Sam were the ones hammering him, which was stupid already since before they couldn't even touch him.

Overall, I still liked this episode. It had a really great plot and storyline with the video game, plus seeing Technus return was great. Though this was an ep that had it's goods and bads, the bads from this particular ep were some of the worst out of the entire season. So I'm giving this a reasonable 8 ratings.

I though this was a good episode, Danny and Tucker telling Sam she wouldn't understand because she's not "game savy" and to find out that she is the one who was kicking their butts was to funny, and I didn't expect Mr. Lancer to be playing the game let alone whip the floor with all of them that was great.
  • This is a good example as to why I watch the show. I love the team work between Danny/Sam/Tucker it's just great how well they work together. The villian in this episode isn't my favorite but he's really funny I laugh when he says something. It's just goo

This episode has Danny struggling in school because he plays the video game Doomed all night. Things get worse when Technus goes into the game. Sam and Tuck need to battle Technus while Danny retakes a test. It is a good example of the hero needed to balance superheroing, his respoinsibities, and fun. We get to see deeper into the Mr. Lancer character.Danny and Tuck also get more respect for Sam when they learn she is the player that has been fragging them. All and all a good episode. But the entering video game thing has been done before. In the end Danny learns that he can enter the game. This once again reminds Danny that his powers have few limits. If Danny keeps progressing at this rate he will become megapowerful and somewhat lesson the struggle that Danny has.
  • When Technus is released from the Ghost Portal, it's up to Danny to put him back where he came from. After seeing "fine technology", Technus flies into Doomed, a game that Danny/Tucker are addicted to, and plans to take over the internet.

This episode is strangely one of my favorite episodes. What I mean by strangely is that Nicolai Technus is one of my least favorite characters. However, it is filled with humor, which I love. When first watching it, I enjoyed that Sam revealed herself as Chaos, one of the best players in Doomed. This was unexpected and made the show better because Danny and Tucker letting her down about the video game was going nowhere. It was funny, but it made Sam have no role in the show. At the end of the episode I was pretty upset that Lancer won the video game. It was a pretty bad ending. I think someone unexpected should've won the episode. It was unexpected, but Lancer was a bad choice. Overall, good episode!
