Youngblood claims that the reason Danny can see him and no one else can is because only kids can see him. Yet right before the Fentons left on their camping trip Danny was with Tucker and Sam yet he was still the only that could see Youngblood.
Throughout the entire episode, Danny's ghost sense didn't go off.
In the opener, Jack and Maddie were listening to loud music until Jazz let them know that Danny Phantom was outside the Fenton RV, then Danny is seen hurtling towards them head first. However, when he see this happen again, there was no loud music and Danny was hurtling towards them foot first.
The Fenton RV control necklace Jazz wore was only supposed to control the weapons, yet Jazz was able to lock the RV with the off button.
Youngblood: No fair! You just dog tied my horse! Horse: Hog tied. Danny: Whatever!
Jack: (After finding a jumpsuit in the bathroom of the RV) Ah, the healing touch of day-glo orange spandex!
Jack: Get me a Fenton towel, stat!
Jazz: (to Jack and Maddie, about Danny) Don't you see? This toxic home environment is making him a nervous wreck! (Danny twitches)
(Jack and Maddie's tent about to go over a waterfall) Jack: Maddie! Wake up! I spy something beginning with a W!!
Danny: (To Youngblood, after defeating him; about Jazz) Not so tough now that she can see you, huh, kid? Youngblood: What are you gonna do, huh? At some point, I'm gonna squirm free, it's not like you can lock me up in jail or something. (Jazz throws Danny the Fenton Thermos, which hits him in the head) Jazz: Whoops, sorry, slipped out of my hands. (Danny uses the Fenton Thermos on Youngblood) Youngblood: Noo!!! (Is sucked inside the thermos; Danny shuts the cap closed) Danny: Actually, it's just like I can lock you up in jail... or something.
Jazz: (To Jack and Maddie, about Danny, in the lab, where an imperceptible Youngblood is tormenting Danny) This toxic home environment is making him a nervous wreck! (Danny twitches) He needs a normal family outing; one that has nothing to do with ghosts! Danny: (To Jazz) Will you stop talking about me like I'm not here? Ow! (To Youngblood) And will you stop poking me?! Maddie: I don't know, Jazz, honey! Sure, Danny seems a little high-strung but I'm sure it's nothing we can't work out here. Danny: (Youngblood pokes him again) Back off, punk! (Grabs an ecto-gun and starts shooting up the lab with it, then Maddie, Jazz, and Jack take cover behind some boxes) Maddie: I'll pack the sleeping bags. Jack: And I'll get the ghost hunting equipment! (Jazz and Maddie stare at Jack angrily) And by ghost hunting equipment, I mean... uh the -- the other sleeping bags!
Danny: Jazz is a spaz! Jazz is a spaz! Jazz is a spaz!
Jazz: (While jumping up and down after seeing Danny pull the stuffing out of Bearbert Einstein) Put him down! Put him down! Put him down! (On the ground, crying) Put him dah-own! Put him down! Youngblood: (About Jazz) Ha, ha, she's even brattier than I am. Jazz: Who said that?! (Looks behind and sees Youngblood) A ghost! You're not crazy! Danny: You have now stooped to my level. Thank you for shopping at FentonMart.
Youngblood: (About the Fentons) Aww, man, I wanted to see the camper go kaboom! Horse: That didn't sound very cowboy. Youngblood: Whatever. One more night of driving him nuts, then his family will be ready to chuck him into Crazy Person's Hoosegaw! Horse: Much better.
Jack: (As water leaks into the tent, as they go down a river) Hmm, that hasn't happened since I stopped drinking coffee before bed.
(While on their ghost-tech-free camping trip) Maddie: Jack, where did that ghost weapon come from? Jack: Uh... I'd rather not say.
Jazz: There's no place you can go that I can't follow. Danny: Oh, yeah? (Danny walks into the boy's room and shuts the door on Jazz's face) Jazz: Except there.
Danny: (To Youngblood) Figment of my imagination or not, you need to back off, cowbrat!
Sam: Danny, you okay? You look a little... Danny: Crazy? Don't say crazy! Sam: I was going to say, you look a little like you've been on a big spinning table. Why? Do you think you're crazy?
Danny: (To his family) Don't you see it?! How can you not see it?! Ghost! Jack: A ghost, that I can tear apart molecule by molecule?! Where?!
Jazz: (Narrating) You know how regular kids freak out because of a pop-quiz, or a pimple? Well, my brother Danny has other pressures.
(The Fenton family is in some kind of submarine) Maddie: Nothing like spending quality family time with the people you love. (Jack presses the "Dive" button on the submarine; the submarine goes underwater) Jazz: And by quality time you mean hunting down ghosts in a sub-aquatic deathtrap?
Jazz: (Narrating) After all, ever since I learned Danny's secret, (Camera focuses on Danny fighting a Youngblood that isn't visible to Jazz or Jack and Maddie) I promised myself I'd never let anyone know. Mom, Dad, even Danny, unless his life depended on it. Well, guess what? It looks like that time has come! (Camera focuses on Danny about to crash into the Fenton RV)
Jazz: (Narrating) You know how sometimes you feel like you're the only responsible person in your family? Well, there are days my family makes me feel like I'm the only responsible adult in the world.
Jazz: Danny, I don't know why you're mad at me. I'm not the one who trashed the lab blasting imaginary ghosts. Danny: It was one ghost! And a parrot... Jazz: Was it a ghost and a parrot? Or a projection of your own fears, and a parrot... ?
This is the very first time Jack has ever worn something different. No matter what he does, in bed, or at a dance, he always wears his jumpsuit.
Title Picture: Danny at the bottom left with a lasso and his head. At the top right, Youngblood and his horse are at the top of a cliff
We learn Jack snores loudly in his sleep.
This is the third time someone's name is used in the title (Fenton), which is Danny's last name. The first two times were Gray (As in Valerie Gray in "Shades of Gray"), and 13 (As in Johnny 13 in "13").
First aired in Canada on YTV on March 22nd, 2006.
Insight Digital Description: The 10- year old ghost Youngblood returns to Amity Park to get revenge on Danny.
Look Hard: The image that was shown when Youngblood lassoed Danny and swung him was the same image in "Lucky in Love" where Shadow did the same thing with his tail.
Youngblood gets sucked into the Fenton Thermos for the first time.
Apparently, Jack used to wet the bed.
Look Hard: When Jack and Maddie were in the tent, Jack is sleeping with the same teddy bear he was sleeping with in "Bitter Reunions."
The Fenton RV's ghost shield looks very different from the one in "Identity Crisis." Also, this ghost shield was capable of preventing ghosts from entering or leaving the ghost shield, just like the FentonWorks ghost shield in "Public Enemies."
We learn that there is a weapons control remote that turns on and off the weapons in the Fenton RV.
Jack snuck an ecto-gun, his jumpsuit, the Fenton Thermos, and the ectoplasmic energy blasting lipstick during the Fentons' ghost-free camping trip.
Apparently, the submarine that the Fentons were using has nearly the same weapons as the Fenton RV. In addition, it can transform into a speedboat.
Apparently, Jack and Maddie enjoy rock music, just like they enjoy "new wave" music as evidenced in "Bitter Reunions."
Youngblood reveals that he "calls himself Youngblood," hinting that "Youngblood" might not be his real name.
It seems as if Jack's skin has become so adjusted to coming in contact with Jack's spandex jumpsuit that if he wears something else, he would have an itchy allergic reaction to it.
This episode marks the third time that Danny's going ghost battle cry is interrupted by Jazz's presence. The first time was in "Public Enemies" and the second time was in "Doctor's Disorders."
Some of the features of the Tucker Foley Alibi-O-Matic: 1) Snoring. 2) Sneezing. 3) Sniffling. 4) Nose blowing. 5) Farting. 6) Constipating.
We learn that Jack and Maddie have a way of eliminating the craziness out of a person which is by strapping that person onto a big spinning table.
Jack calls Jazz, "Jazzypants," for the second time in the series. The first time was in "Pirate Radio."
Opener: Jazz narrarates about how she thinks she's the only responsible person in her family while Danny fights an "invisible" Youngblood in a canyon.
The way how Jazz is concerned for Danny regarding his secret of being half-ghost seems to lead up to Danny finding out about Jazz knowing his secret in "The Ultimate Enemy." However, this episode was aired out of production and aired after that episode.
Jazz's obsession about not admitting that she is wrong (mentioned in "Prisoners of Love") is brought up again in her narration.
This episode marks the third time that Jack uses his soda drinking hat. The first time was in "Parental Bonding" and the second time was in "Control Freaks."
That ecto-gun that Jack pulls out during the camping trip is the exact same gun that Jack accidentally used to shoot at Sam's parents in "Control Freaks."
We learn that when Jazz was little, she used to play with a teddy bear called "Bearbert Einstein." In addition, Maddie could have influenced her fixation on it since she still sleeps with her Einstein doll (which was shown in "Bitter Reunions").
Jack reveals that his jumpsuit is "day glow spandex."
Jack and Maddie do not wear their jumpsuits for a portion of this episode.
Sam and Tucker are minor characters in this episode.
The soft music that plays at the end of this episode is the same one that played at the end of "My Brother's Keeper."
This episode begins with Danny already in ghost mode.
The Fenton family tents are exact replicas of their home and apparently buoyant.
Dash and Paulina are absent in this episode.
This marks that third time that Jazz acts like a "non-adult." The first time was in "Fanning the Flames" and the second time was in "Maternal Instinct."
Apparently, Youngblood's parrot from "Pirate Radio" is a shape-shifter, because he is now a horse.
The lipstick with the ability to shoot ectoplasmic rays from "Doctor's Disorders" returns.
It is revealed that Youngblood and his horse are imperceptible to people who are psychologically adults, but can be perceived to people who are psychologically kids.
Running Gags: 1) Danny claiming that there are ghosts present even though nobody else can see them. 2) Someone spraying water on someone else. 3) Jazz yelling, "Real mature, Danny!" 4) Danny shaking nervously as if he was crazy. 5) Danny destroying things with either his ectoplasmic energy blasts or an ecto-gun an attempt to shoot Youngblood. 6) Jack itching crazily in his camping clothes. 7) Jack secretly hiding ghost hunting equipment. 8) Tucker's Alibi-O-Matic making fart noises. 9) Maddie/Jack playing "I spy" at inappropriate times. 10) Danny shouting angrily at Youngblood, when he is invisible. 11) Jazz driving the Fenton RV recklessly to avenge Bearbert Einstein. 12) Someone calling Danny crazy.
References to "Pirate Radio" and "My Brother's Keeper" were made in this episode.
Jazz narrates this episode.
Title Screen Caption: "You Won't Believe Your Eyes!"
This is the second time an episode has been narrated by a character. The first time was by Tucker in "What You Want."
Youngblood is now a cowboy, while his parrot from "Pirate Radio" is now a horse.
Featured New Invention(s): Fenton Ointment, Treader Rethreader, Fenton Earplugs, Fenton Towel.
This episode took place before "The Ultimate Enemy."
Main Villain(s): Youngblood.
Tucker: Wait, there's more! Now how much would you pay? This alludes to the famous sayings of infomercial salesman, Ed Valenti.
Tucker Foley Alibi O-Matic: Appearance The device that Tucker invents, the "Tucker Foley Alibi O-Matic," looks very similiar to an iPod.
Bearbert Einstein: Name & Appearance Jazz's stuffed teddy bear's name was "Bearbert Einstein," obviously a parody of Albert Einstein, who is widely regarded to as the greatest scientist in the 20th century. Albert Einstein was a German-born physicist who is best known for his theory of relativity. Bearbert's appearance also resembled that of Albert Einstein. More Info
