This episode was so hilarious. The fact that only Danny could see Youngblood because he was a kid was a bit odd, because Tucker acts less mature than Danny a lot of the times.

Danny tricking Jazz into being a brat brought tears to my eyes. It's nice to see how well siblings get along.

The ending was a laugh riot. Danny's practical joke on Jazz with Tucker's i pod noise excuse maker was may be not an original, but made an excellent running gag. It would definitely make an excellent prank on my youngest sister.

Definitely must rewatch this one soon.
  • This was funny! Yay, crazy Danny!

My favorite thing about this episode was the fact that everyone thought Danny was going crazy when he saw ghosts that weren't there. The ghost that he saw was Youngblood, who was playing a trick on him. At the beginning, Danny is fighting a ghost that no one else sees. So, Jazz thinks it's just something that happened because he was half-ghost, but she starts to think Danny really is going crazy. He destroys things because he sees Youngblood messing with him. Jazz suggests that the family go away for a while so Danny can try to relax. Even on vacation, he's still going nuts. Finally, Jazz puts him on lockdown so he doesn't destroy anything else. But Danny has a plan. He does anything he can to bring out the inner child in Jazz, who thinks she's an adult. When it finally works, she sees Youngblood and helps Danny defeat him. Now, everyone knows that Danny hasn't gone crazy and everything is as normal as it can get.

I never knew when this episode came out at first, but when I finally watch it I thought what the hell is this?!

Why did they bring Youngblood back?He was boring to begin with I hope they bring back Ember...

Anyway Jazz narrates? They also go on a camping trip? Hmmm... anyone wonder why Jazz has a stuffed bear and still say she's an adult?

Okay the bottom line is Youngblood comes back,Danny goes crazy, Jazz steals the spotlight, and Jack finally waers something other than his normal jumpsuit, but over all the episode was fine I still don't understand still what day did the Butch hatman aired this episode?
  • This episode was awesome and focused on Danny and Jazz. Two thumbs up!

I thought this episode was fantastic because it had a lot to do with Danny and his sister. The character depth and fighting is much more interesting than just one or the other. And I've always wondered what kinds of things she wrote in her Diary... Plus I liked the line that went "Nothing like spending quality time with the people you love," - "And by 'quality time', you mean hunting down ghosts in a subaquatic death-trap?" And I'm glad the episode ended with Danny flying, I like when that happens... I can see why Jazz is so proud of Danny for everything (I am, too!) It was very entertaining! Yet another awesome episode!
  • Youngblood returns with a plan to make Danny look crazy in the eyes of his family and friends.

When I first saw this episode, I was very confused. I couldn't understand why Jazz was behaving as if she didn't know Danny's secret. It wasn't until awhile later that I realized it was aired out of order. I never thought that Youngblood would return again, but he did. I liked the part where Jazz was following Danny around the school and she said that there wasn't any place he could go where she couldn't follow him so Danny went into the boys' bathroom. I also liked the part where Youngblood kept hitting and poking Danny in front of his family.
  • Jazz thinks Dannys insane, Dannys spining on a giat table! I pursonaly loved it!

Jazz puts the Fenton family up to a camping trip when Danny starts atacking ghost only he can see. Well actuly only kids can see him... thats why they call them Young Blood. Thats right hes back and he plans to git rid of Danny and his family for good! I liked this eppisode. My faverit part must have ben as folows:

Fenton Family is down in the basment talking. "I don't know Jazz... I know your brother seams a little high strung, but I'm suer its nothing we cant handle here..." Maddie said.

Suddenly Danny jummps. "Thats it punk!!!" Danny grabed a ghost weppon. And started fighering. Famlie jumps beined counter...

"I'll pack the sleeping bags...." Maddie said.

    ------

It was funny and he was always the only kid there, aside from his sister. The time Sam and Tuck were there they wern't looking when Danny chased Young Blood away. It was jiniose and really evel how Danny made Jazz ackt her age. Every time I saw that part I gasped! I'm like "Pore Baer Burt!" I would kill my brother if he ever did that. All in all this eppy was exsiting as well as fun. Jack and Maddie just made it that much more fun, Jack aspesialy. I don't think its posible to keep ghost anything away from Jack Fenton. Well there are my thoughts on this eppy! I hope the fucher eppys are just as good or better!

Aww, I really love this episode, it's very funny and even cute. And, of course, it has Danny pretty much going insane from people thinking that he's insane, and that's always good. I'll always love the ending to this episode, though, it really shows that Jazz isn't as grown up as she thinks she is, and, in doing so, I think it really makes her character much more likable that it was previously. Of course, maybe now she'll believe Danny more readily, after she nearly got their parents KILLED because she didn't believe him! Well, she got knocked off her high and mighty pedestal in the end, so I'm happy. And don't get me wrong, I do like Jazz, she just really deserved that. XD
  • This episode is confusing read Review to find out why I think so!

This episode is confusing because since \"The Ultimate Enemy\" Danny has known that Jazz knows his secret! But in this episode Danny acts like he doesn\'t know that Jazz knows his secret! Trust me I checked to make sure it is after it! OK, this has got to be one of th most confusing episodes!!

In this episode Danny is thought to be crazy because he is seeing ghosts that no one can see, which at first makes sense because hello, they can go invisible. But it turns out that only kids can see this particular ghost.

This episode is an exiting and imaginitive episode and one of the many reason there are so many fans of the series. Most of the story is narrated by Jazz which adds a nice little twist to the story. Even with Jazz narrating they managed to keep everyone in character which must have been more than a bit tricky.

Overall this is a great episode with a great plot and storyline
  • Jazz decides to have the family take a countryside vacation without ghost-related things when she thinks Danny is going crazy as Danny attacks ghosts that seem to be not even there. Is Jazz helping or hurting Danny?

    8.9
    "Great"
It was a decent episode since it was mostly about Danny firing ghost rays into the air at nothing until the end where we could clearly see that Danny was firing at Young Blood. Others couldn't see him since only the young can. I liked the light show where Danny was shooting ghost rays everywhere. We saw his mean side in this one. Never get him cranky. It was funny how Danny was shoving Young Blood's face on the ground while moving forward and calling him a punk, saying to him if he liked that. Danny made more goofy faces when he tore up Bearbert. That was funny.
  • Jazz thinks Danny’s going crazy when he starts fighting ghosts that she can’t see.

    8.4
    "Great"
During a Fenton family outing, Danny points out a ghost, but they don’t see any there. When this continues at school, Jazz fears that he may be going crazy. She convinces the Fentons to go on a camping trip in an attempt to calm Danny down. But it turns out that that’s not necessary, as Danny is really fighting Youngblood, who can’t be seen by adults! And that includes Jazz, who thinks she’s an adult. Knowing this, Danny has to get Jazz to discover her inner child before something bad happens.

I wasn’t looking that forward to this episode, but I find TFM to be a pretty good one. Lucky they aired it a week later than originally planned, otherwise I would’ve missed it for a football game.

The opener was…surprising. I didn’t expect it to start with them going on the camping trip, and then flashing back. I really liked that we didn’t actually see Youngblood until later on. It helped to build up the suspense, and that works for this show. I enjoyed that Jazz narrated this episode as well.

As for Jazz, I enjoyed her very much in this episode. She may have gotten a bit carried away in one point or another, but she still had Danny’s best interests at heart, as Sam said at one point. The only part I didn’t like and also seemed unrealistic was when she kicked Danny into the RV. How can anyone kick a person that high and that far? She could’ve hurt him as well. And I found her Bearbert Einstein doll good for a laugh. I enjoyed seeing Jazz’s kid side in particular. It’s good for her to know that she’s not technically an adult and not always right.

Sometimes, I was a little bit annoyed at the way Danny freaked out whenever he saw Youngblood. But other times, it didn’t bother me. Especially when he really started to believe that he was going crazy. His pointing Youngblood out when they were underwater was a little different, but good since he probably couldn’t go ghost there and go out underwater. And I thought the way he was going goofy in the RV was hilarious! And I really liked Jazz’s reaction to the way he was being. And I found it good that Danny didn’t underestimate Youngblood after he saw how good he could fight in PR. I also liked how Danny seemed to be pretty angry at Youngblood during the last fight.

Sam and Tucker only appeared in two scenes, but they were still good. They helped out a bit and tried to calm Danny down. People might have complained as to why they didn’t see Youngblood, but here’s a perfect reason. Youngblood was already around the corner in front of Fenton Works by the time they looked. As for Tucker’s alibi machine, I’ll get to that in a minute.

I wasn’t expecting Youngblood to be here as a cowboy; I’m a bit more likeable towards pirates, but he was quite a bit better here. He didn’t appear to be that great of a planner in PR; that seemed like Ember’s doing mostly, but in TFM, he did seem quite a bit smarter. And I find the fact that adults can’t see him very interesting. And we still got a laugh from him when he messed up his cowboy lingo.

I found the animation to be very nice. The shots when they were down in the lake were lovely, as well as when they were driving through the mountains. The sun shining on them was a very nice touch.

Some of the humor was very good. I liked Jack’s reaction to not calling the RV “Fenton Family Ghost Assault Vehicle”, as well as to not wearing his jumpsuit. The “I spy” gag was pretty good when their tent was going over the fall, and Jack’s line after Danny caught them was funny.

But I didn’t really like Tucker’s alibi machine a lot. While I found the snoring and head cold features pretty funny, I was turned off a bit by the…other ones. And that was pretty risky of Danny when he used it under his covers. If Jazz didn’t know he was a ghost, she would’ve been majorly surprised if Danny just…disappeared like that.

Not too much I can point out that is negative, but I thought perhaps Jazz should have listened to Danny when he told her why she couldn’t see Youngblood. And how come we didn’t see any of Youngblood’s crew except his pirate/horse? But then, they were pirates, so that wasn’t a problem. Also, if he wanted to get out of the locked RV, he didn’t have to go ghost. He could’ve just phased out of there as human.

By the way, I liked hearing that last bit of music, which was decent again throughout the episode in general, by the way. Brought back memories of MBK, but I wished it would’ve followed through to the end instead of being interrupted by the alibi machine again.

All in all, this was a decent episode. TFM gets 8.4/10.
  • It was O.K.

    9.2
    "Superb"
The episode was O.K. Though if Danny is trying to keep his ghost powers a secret he needs to do a better job. IF Jazz did not already know (like Danny thinks), she could have of found in this episode. Danny dose a bad job of keeping it a secret. Jazz does a bad job of keeping her secret. Like when Danny phases through the sleeping bag and replaces himself with Tucker's sound device. And when maddie say's "huh whats the ghost boy doing way out here?" Earth to Maddie! And Jacks like "I don't Know?"When Jazz helps Danny fight YoungBlood it's so not believeable that they still both have secrets.
  • Overall, an okay episode.....Danny's "insane" outbursts had me laughing, and certain scenes were really very good, but it didn't reach the standard for the series.

    6.0
    "Fair"
Like I said, this episode was really okay. I say this for a few reasons....

First of all, it was played out of context. You see, Jazz says in the beginning that she'd never tell anyone Danny's secret, including Danny-unless his life was at stake. But in Ultimate Enemy, Jazz confirms that she knows Danny's secret. I don't think that it was done purposely, but the episode didn't make sense because of this premiere flaw.

Another reason I didn't like this episode too much was because it played up on cheap gags. Butch Hartman has always impressed me (with both of his shows) by providing viewers with more mature humor. Much like the butt-ghost-ray in "Memory Blank", they used Tucker's sound simulator for cheap laughs (farting, vomiting, etc.), which really disappointed me.

On the other hand, though, I enjoyed certain aspects of the episode. For example, I loved Jack and Maddie in this episode. The two of them were the comic relief; the whole issue of no ghost hunting equipment made everything hysterical.

The other thing that I really liked was that we saw another side of Jazz; when Danny made her act like a kid, I thought it was a real turn-around for her character. Because she DOES act like an adult all the time, it was refreshing to see the opposite.

So, in all, a decent episode, but I think the next one will be better.

  • Silly funny hilarious

Funniest episode in this whole seris. I love the part when Danny said "Jazz is a spaz Jazz is a spaz" which rhymes. This episode was very very well written. I know I say that alot but some episodes were. But what I don't understand id this is after "The ultimate enemies" so they both new dannys secret so why did he act like she did'nt know. But it was still a good episode.
  • When Danny starts attacking ghosts that 'aren't there', Jazz advises the Fenton family to take a camping trip to clear his head, but that only leaves them more open to Youngblood's attacks.

    7.3
    "Good"
The strange thing is I don't really have anything to say about this episode. I guess you could call it a filler, but it just didn't feel like too important an episode. It explained how Youngblood escaped and I liked the shapeshifting abilities of the parrot/horse, but other than that, there was really no more to this episode than Jazz being overprotective and thinking that Danny was insane. But strangely, I don't think there's a way that this episode could've been handled better. It's not like Identity Crisis, where they had a great oppertunity for a decent storyline and then botched it. Here, you just feel it's a mediocre plot with mediocre dialogue that would be the same no matter which way it was handled.
  • No one can see Youngblood but Danny.

    9.1
    "Superb"
Very funny. I think that it is nice for episodes like this, that poke fun. Jazz considers herself an adult so she thinks Danny is crazy when he starts fighting Youngblood. It is funny when you see Danny trying to fight Youngblood from Jazz's point of view. That makes sense that she would think that he's crazy and how Danny got Jazz to act like a little kid again was the funniest part of the episode. Poor Bearstein(or whatever its name was). However It doesn't make sense that Tucker and Sam can't see Youngblood either. They were in one sceen when Danny started fighting, but nothing is perfect. I liked this episode overall.
  • Danny Fenton's going crazy... or is he.

Great episode the show gets better with every episode This was an episode that danny's whole family played a big part of it. Where Sam and Tucker were only minor characters. You can't have every episode being just about Danny, Sam, and Tucker and as much as i like the D/S romance, the show is not only about that. It's nice to have one with the family in it. can't wait till the freight before Christmas which should have alot D/S in it.
  • Danny going crazy! finally! also you get to see Jazz act immature. Maddie and Jack finally out of their spandex jumpsuits for more that 5 minutes. a very funny episode.

Danny Fenton is losing his mind! At least, that\'s what Jazz decides when her little brother starts acting strangely and fighting ghosts that aren\'t there. In reality, Danny is being tormented by a revenge-seeking Youngblood, who cannot be seen by adults -- or by big sisters who think they\'re adults. When Jazz sells the family on a ghost-tech-free camping trip, Youngblood follows and unleashes a series of juvenile attacks that make Danny seem even crazier, and put the Fenton family in danger. A very funny episode. Jazz acts very immature in the episode and Danny goes crazy and tucker creates an iPod looking thingamagig.

    5.5
    "Mediocre"
This episode was mediocre at best, in my opinion. The entire episode was told from Jazz's POV. Though it was a unique and different perspective, I can't say it was a good one. Jazz's narration of the entire story was anything but entertaining. Though parts of it could be considered almost sweet, it lacked many of the clever witticisms present in other epidodes. Additionally, it moved the plot forward none whatsoever. Nothing new or exciting really happened in this episode. Overall, the entire thing was rather stale. I'm glad I saw it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it again.
  • Sure this episode was good. But it could've been better. I love Youngbllod- that's probably why I liked the ep though.

The one thingabout this that I didn't like was WHO could andn COULDN'T see Youngblood. it bugged me the whole show. Sam and Tucker couldn't see him at all. Why? They're definately kids. And Jazz says she's an adult, but how did she become hypnotized by Ember in 'Fanning the Flames' and 'Pirate Radio'. That' makes no sense to me. I really like Jack's character, but Maddie just bugs me sometimes. Jazz is't my favorite character either, and her narration was a little cheesy and predictable. Yes, it was true, but cheesy nonetheless (I like that word :) The beginning underwater was a bit dull to me. think whatever you want. This is just my opinion. However, crazy Danny was a little funny. This episode was also lacking the freeze-frame effect in the fights. My overall rating...

This episode began excitingly, and eventually dulled down... until after the commercial! Danny being booted in the Fenton R.V. by calm Jazz? Major turning point for Jazz, and then she breaks down like a kid, and calls Danny a brat after he calls her a "fag" and assaults Bearbert Einstein. Natuarally, Jack and Maddie Fenton are once again clueless that Danny Phantom's their own son, making this episode a classic. If it really was written before "The Ultimate Enemy," Danny really gives himself away as Danny Phantom to Jazz....how does he not know that she knows his secret? Youngblood also ruled the second part of the show beautifully.

Personally after a kick butt episode liek the ultiamte enemy, you expect the producers to have a better episode that follows. While it was interesting to see things from Jazz's point of view, we get the fact that she has an adult mentaltiy. There where a gew character developing points but all of this woudl have been better if the production order wasnt screwy. Not bad but not all that great.
  • Danny and his family go on vacation, but it gets spoiled when a ghost only kids can see appears

It was okay, but seeing as how Danny was sappost to know that Jazz knew he was a ghost didnt happen (Refrence to "Ultimate Enemy"), it wasnt a very good plot. Also seeing as how Tucker and Sam (who're kids) didnt see the ghost, it was kinda a plot-breaker. I'd give it a 4.3

I love. Not my all time favorite. But still good. I laughed, that's right. I laughed. I laughed when Danny was teasing Jazz, when Jack thought he wet himself. And when youngblood said that jazz was brattier than him. I didn't laugh like when I watch the simpsons, spongebob, or FOP. But it was still great. I'll diffinetly watch this again.

This was an ok epi. There were a few funny lines but thats about it. I think this was just an epi that is just supposed to gives us something to watch untill we see an epi like The Fright Before Christmas or something like that. Well, i hope the next epi is much better, but acording to tv.com the next epi is TFBC which means we have to wait till christmas for a new epi.
  • This was a good episode, funny, poor Danny though, I thought he would end up in an asylum. I think that Jazz is getting better as the show progresses.

This was funny, as I noted, but I think that since there were no D/S moments, Sam and Tucker were hardly in there, it was SORT of a letdown. I think that Youngblood looked better as a pirate, than a cowboy, but I still liked him. The next episode won't be for a few more months, I hope we can all survive!

I thought this one was a lot better then Indentity Crisis (last new eppy). This one had so many laughs packed in there, I don't think there was ever a minute i wasn't laughing.

I really liked this one for one reason because it had a really good commercial. The commercial was good because it leads you to think that his parents find out. It certainly looked that way to me.

I also loved this one because I like how Jazz narrates it so the first half of the show we can't see YoungBlood. Having a charector narrate an episode makes it all the better.

I also love episodes where JAzz helps Danny. I think they're classic if Jazz is actually fighting ghosts. I think, as we watch her as the show developes, Jazz is starting to not mind all the Ghost fighting.
  • Youngblood returns, but as he can only be seen by kids, Danny appears to be fighting air, convincing Jazz that he's losing it.

"The Fenton Menace" finds Youngblood free of his pirate ship (and now in cowboy garb) and on Danny's tail. But since he can only be seen by children, no one else in the family can see him, and Danny appears to be losing his mind. Jazz, wanting him to calm down, has the family go on a ghost-free camping trip. But Youngblood, counting on everyone else failing to see him, trails the Fentons. And as Danny appears more crazy and Jazz becomes more overprotective, the little brat is free to wreack havoc.

I rather liked this one! I quite enjoyed watching it.

This is how I feel a "filler" episode that's caught between big events or is unrelated to the ongoing plots of the show should work - light and fun, but with a solid story and good character development. "13" is the best example of that so far, I feel. DD, PR, and especially IC seemed very lacking to me, because it didn't seem like they had any of that - they were just there to take up the empty spaces. TFM, though, I very much enjoyed.

Interesting how this is set right before TUE chronologically, and both TFM and TUE feature Jazz and Danny's sibling bond getting stronger. Nice job on that one. Jazz was lovely in the episode. Her narration was very nice (and brought a nice feel of nostalgia from WyW's using that device with Tucker), and her determination to help Danny was very sweet and IC. Locking him up in the RV was a bit harsh, and none of her help was really beneficial until she figured out what was going on with Danny, but she had his best interests at heart. She is the best older sibling I have ever seen on TV, and Butch and all his staff should win some kind of an award for creating such a lovely character for a role that most other shows turn into a cliched, jerky, one-dimensional shell.

And seeing her younger side amidst all her maternal instincts was a nice touch. An Einstein bear, eh? That is so Jazz.

Danny's reactions to all the chaos Youngblood was causing was handled very believeably. He was really stressed out and getting freaked out. It was nice to see him back in-character after the mess that was IC, and his taking Youngblood's threat seriously after first regarding him as a pest in PR was very nice.

That was the one thing this episode had that I haven't felt in a regular, 30-minute ep of DP since MB - the threat. Youngblood was actually worth the effort. He was making Danny seem crazy, wearing him out, and he almost knocked the parents off over the waterfall. It really felt like someone could get hurt, and it made Danny's struggle to convince everyone what was happening and his attempts to stop Youngblood all the more meaningful.

So Youngblood's a quick-change villain in his roles, eh? I've always been more partial to swashbucklers than westerns, but I found Youngblood more tolerable as a cowboy than as a pirate. And his parrot was still great.

I loved the parents in this ep and all the new Fenton inventions. There was a lot of humour with the parents and all the family gear. This ep had a lot of humour, actually, and most of it (more on that later) was in good taste. The verbal puns were great. "Thank you for shopping at Fenton-Mart" and especially the "I spy with my little eye something that starts with a W!" had me in hysterics. The pacing, timing, and continuity of the verbal humour was wonderful in this episode.

Sam and Tuck didn't show up much, but they were IC and it was very nice to see them stand by Danny's theory. It was also nice to see them not acting in unison so much like in IC (or even TUE to a certain extent - not that I'm complaining about TUE, of course). Their behaviour and reactions to certain things were very distinct and true to their characters.

Nice animation in this one. The shots under the sea by the pirate ship were absolutely gorgeous. And it was nice to see some new environments on the show. All the action scenes were well-staged, well-shot, and well-drawn. Kudos.

I would give this episode 8/10 for being a fun, light, and well-done filler, but there was one thing that held it back IMO - the gross-out humour. I don't like it in any situation or any type of story, but in DP it just seems a thousand times worse to me. And this ep had as much gross humour as it did the verbal repartee. The difference in how well the respective types of humour work on DP was never more clear than in this ep IMO. Tucker's machine in particular really irked me. It was just too much IMO, and every time I see gross humour on DP I feel like it's out of place.

And why couldn't Sam or Tuck see Youngblood when Danny could? They're his age and they don't act like adults (and Tuck's sometimes more immature than Danny)

But all in all, I really enjoyed this ep as I have no filler episode since 13. A 7/10 and a thank-you to Butch and the DP cast and crew for a job well done.
