  • Good old Vlad trying so hard to control and misslead everyone to get what he wants. And then in comes ..Da...no It is Jack Fenton?

This Episode bring out alot of interestingness thing like the other Ghost hunters of the world. Who are just parody of other tv/ movie characters. The part of the show that I like the most was when Jack not Danny beat Vlad. This show that Jack is not the worst ghost fighter. It is more the fact that everyone has the weak link in there ghost team. Jack is just more easier to see. We also found out in this episode what will happen if the the ecto fliter is not changed when it get full. This is still a good spisode and a great watch even.
  • Vlad puts a one million dollar bounty on Danny's head so that he can steal the Fenton portal.

This is one of my favorite episodes. I liked the part where Danny was trying to save Sam and Tucker, but Vlad stops him by grabbing his throat and throwing him on top of a building. Another good part was the fighting scene between Jack and Vlad Plasmius at the end of the episode. It was funny seeing Jack actually do something right for once and to see Danny try to do his chores at the same time. The part I didn't like was when Vlad threw Danny over by the ghost hunters. Danny just kept on falling and I found myself wanting to scream, 'Oh just hit the pavement already!'

oh this episode is so great at many cost heh cool it doesnt even take danny to sweat to fight these idiots vlad hired for the bounty although i love that phrase when jack fenton said that "im the idiot to beat you".I cant believe jack would beat vlad but of course with a little help from the fenton ghost gloves that is.vlad was actually finding the skeleton key to revive the fright knights master which will be shown as an episode and for the first time danny teams up with vlad and all the ghost hes fought and hasnt fought
  • The ghost Danny Phantom, is getting pretty popular in Amity Park, and many different kinds of weird ghost hunters from all over the U.S., are coming to capture The Million Dollar Ghost!(Even Danny's parents)! But, Danny doesn't take these hunters as threat!

I loved this episode, because it is definitely a series classic! It is hillarious, when all the groups try to catch Danny, and they all end up in the dumpster, and then Danny picks up a puppy and puts it in, and says, "Get the kitty,", and he means to have the puppy get the cat from the replica of the Scooby-Doo gang (though a little different), who are trying to catch Danny. I also loved it when Danny let's his dad catch him, just to make his dad happy! I also loved when Jack (Danny's dad), let's Danny out, when they have to fight Vlad Plasmius in the ghost lab in the basement of the Fenton house, right in the last 30 seconds, before the Ecto Filtrator explodes! This is definitely a must-see episode!!!
  • Vlad wants to get the legendary skeleton key,but his Plasmius Portal blows up.So he decides to go after Jack's Fenton Portal. He puts a million dollor bounty on Danny Phantom to destract him while he steals the portal.

Vlad Plasmius wants to get the legendary skeleton key.The key can open any relam, free any prisoner, and give Vlad even more power. The guardian of the key appears and fights him.Plasmius shows of his powers like duplication, form ecto plasmic weapons, and a teleportation.Since he is fooling around the guardian knocks him out of the Ghost Zone. Before Vlad can come back his portal blows up.Vlad goes intangibly so the explasion doesn't hurt him.Vlad than decides to steal Jack's portal. After accident Jack has been labled unworthy of being a ghost hunter and a million dollor bounty out on Danny Phantom to get better ghost hunters. This makes Jack more determinded to catch the ghost boy than anything.

The so called expert ghost hunters are nothing more than idoits like the Guys in White, and other reject hunters.Jack gets there and makes a fool of himself which embarrasses Danny.Plasmius is of course watching he of course just doesn't want to steal Jack's portal, but he wants Danny to lose respect for him as well.So he sends his minons to capture Sam and Tucker and they of course make Jack look stupid.Danny changes into his ghost form and goes after them, but Vlad stops him and tells him he is the one who put the bounty on him.Once Danny sees his friends are safe he fights Vlad, but he loses to him easily.Later he tells Sam and Tucker about Vlad's plan and says his father screw ups will always come back to haunt him.His dad hears this and it crushes his spirit.Danny decides to let his dad catch him.Maddie cathes him and gives him to Jack.So as Jack is about to give Danny away to the benifactor he is trapped in a energy cage created by Plasmius.

He than says he will steal their Fenton portal and leaves them.Vlad's minons than imprison Maddie and Jazz in the Fenton's weapons vault.Jack lets Danny out so he can help him save his famliy. The ghost hunters see them and go after them Danny goes to fight the hunters while Jack goes save their famliy.Danny beat the hunters very easily and goes after the Jack.Mean while Jack confornts Vlad,he beat his minons and fights him.Danny is about to help but Jack actually has things handled. He beats Plasmius while Danny changes the ecto filtrator.Jack throws him into the Ghost Zone and Danny changes the filtrator.Danny has a new found respect for his dad.Plasmius although failed to destroy Danny's respect for his father suceeds in getting the skeleton key,but the guardian eats him.

A great episode we get to see more of Vlad Plasmius' powers like teleporting and ecto plasmic shapes, powers that Danny does not have yet.Jack gets character development and does what not even his half-ghost son can do in beating Vlad.Plasmius has the key now which iis leading up to a even bigger plot that will be explored in the t.v. movie Reign Storm.
  • Vlad puts a million-dollar bounty on Danny while he attempts to steal Jack’s portal after his explodes.

Vlad is in the Ghost Zone, attempting to steal a key that will open any door. But he is blown out of the zone by a behemoth, and due to the ecto-filtrator in his portal not being changed, his portal explodes. He then plans to steal Jack’s portal, and to keep him busy, he offers a million dollar to the world’s best-known ghost hunters to eliminate Danny. Jack and Maddie arrive as well, leaving Jack to embarrass himself in front of everyone. To cheer him up, Danny turns himself in to him, but what no one knows is that Jack’s portal is on the verge of an explosion too!

We had a long wait for a new episode prior to this one. I wasn’t looking that forward to this one. It did sound like an interesting one, and it turned out to be a pretty good episode.

I found the opener to be very interesting and very luring to make you keep on watching. I wasn’t expecting Vlad to be the only one we saw during the time, but it was good for circumstance. I was glad to see there was more depth behind the portal exploding; a real mystery and a real reason for it. I thought Vlad was a little over-arrogant when fighting that behemoth, but that was IC for him. That picture of the reunion was pretty funny there at the end.

As for Vlad himself, he was quite a bit better here than in MI, but it couldn’t match up to his stellar performances in BR and RS. I really like how he sets up one plan to get what he wants, and uses another plan to get others to unknowingly do his work to assist in his original plan. That’s what he did here. Original plan: steal Jack’s portal. Other plan: place the bounty on Danny to perhaps destroy him, and/or diminish Danny’s respect for Jack. His short little fight with Danny was done very well; I enjoyed Vlad’s cockiness, especially the “one hand behind my back” comment. Oh, and I find it funny that Vlad says things like, “Butter biscuits!”

I liked seeing the father/son bonding in this episode. As of this episode, we’ve now had three family bonding episodes. Brother/sister in MBK, mother/son and father/daughter in MI, and now father/son in TMDG. Husband/wife would come in SW. All we’re missing is mother/daughter, but that’s for another day. As for her, the fact is that just about everyone gets embarrassed by his or her parents. Not me, though. :) As a matter of fact, Danny’s whole family interacted in a very good way. I thought Maddie’s and Danny’s “Three…two…one…” was very funny, and Jack’s goof-ups with the hunters were good for a laugh, along with Danny’s “He’s right behind me, isn’t he?” comment. But why did Jack and Jazz just abandon Danny at school when he was about to get in trouble for something he didn’t do?

I really enjoyed Jack’s interaction with Danny Phantom. He didn’t seem to trust Phantom, but still was willing to cooperate. And I thought Danny’s calling Jack by his name was really funny; it was also funny when Jazz said it near the end.

I didn’t like the ghost hunters that much in this episode. I had a few chuckles here and there, but they seemed more fit for FOP, IMO. The Guys in White were OTT and the Groovy Gang was too much like Scooby-Doo. The only ones I really liked were the Extreme Ghostbreakers. Also, why would they blame Jack when Danny phased through the ground? Jack started yelling after that.

Sam and Tucker were just…there. Well, they still played a nice role. I liked when Sam sounded really worried for Danny, and Tucker was his usual self, worth a good laugh. But I wish they would’ve actually seen Vlad. I would like to see how they could interact. I liked that they were willing to help Danny out by keeping the hunters busy. But why is it that the last we saw of them here, they were sliding out of control down a very big hill?

I liked that we got to learn more about the Fenton Portal and how it really works. Sure, with something that complex, it’s bound to be dangerous at times, and the consequences can be bad if you don’t handle it carefully.

The final fight between Jack and Vlad left me happy that Jack won, but disappointed with how it went down in general. Jack is armed with only the Jack-o’-Nine Tails and the Ghost Gloves, while Vlad is a very powerful ghost at full power, and Vlad is taken down without a problem, landing only one hit on Jack. Also, why did Danny decide to just do his chores in a situation like that?

Vlad’s getting the key at the very end seemed a little too…thrown in. The key wasn’t mentioned after the opener at all until the very end, and that bugged me a bit. But I guess as a set up for RS, this works. But I have one question: how did Vlad get out of that behemoth?

That’s all I can really talk about for TMDG. The action was plenty good, and I give this episode 8.6/10.
  • Vlad wants the skeleton key in the ghost zone, but his portal blows up. He needs to steal Jack's so he distracts him by having bounty hunters get Danny. Danny must dodge them, stop Vlad, and make sure is Dad doesn't look like a fool.

This was okay, but I think it would have been better if there were some ghosts for Danny to fight istead of actual humans. Those ghost hunters looked pathetic. If the purpose of that was to show their humility, then I am not impressed. At least there was a Vlad scene where if fought Danny for a few seconds. It had my attention at some points, but not all. All episodes can't be based on ghost anyways right? Bring something new to the table. Maybe if the guys in white were better ghost hunters, than this episode would have been a lot better. Still the better of the first season.
  • vlad has returned with a vengeance

    "Great"
this was a good episode, but I think they made vlad come back way too soon. I mean if you think about it vlad was back on the episode maternal instinct and then another episode aired a week after it and then they make this episode . The producers have got to slow down a little bit on the vlad episodes. however despite this I liked this episode alot. now I'm sure you people are wondering why I gave this episode an 8.1, well I did because of the reason I stated above. I would have given it a higher score but it is pretty lame how vlad got his butt kicked by dannys dad when his dad has just about no common sense at all.
  • Vlad is back.

    "Superb"
It was O.K. Ummm... oh yah Danny is being tracked down and woarth a million dollors if he is caught! Stupid dudes are after him. The Guys in White, and others I can\'t remember. Danny\'s dad is after him also. he is stupid.Vlads plan is to make Danny hate his father. Danny\'s father will be humiliated by not doing a good job at catching the Ghost Boy also known as inviso Bill or Danny Phantom. Danny will be mortified. Vlad will some how get Danny and pay who ever catches him a million dollars.Vlad fails at his task because jack beat him back into the ghost zone.
  • Selling Danny. come on. why?

    "Perfect"
I think it's sad that they were trying to sell danny. he's a ghost you can't do anything with him. But this time it was not jack fighting the ghost it was jack helping the ghost which made me happy that he could put aside hunting the ghost and help the ghost that made me smile.
  • When a million dollar bounty is placed on Danny Phantom’s head, it creates two problems for our hero. One: the insane pack of “ghost hunters” that suddenly appear in Amity Park. And two: trying to keep Jack from embarrassing him…He can do that right? …Rig

    8.9
    "Great"
The one thing I don’t understand is why this episode is getting such a bad rep. Sure, it wasn’t epic like TUE, or major character development like FwD or FTF but it was still lots of fun. There were some great parodies (Groovy Gang and Scaredy Cat/ Scooby Doo and Mystery Inc.), some cool action scenes with both Danny and Jack, and Vlad was brought back in a cool way. Ok, besides Danny and Jack not many of the characters really *did* anything, I will you that but, they *all* can’t have a lot of importance/screen time in *every* episode now can they?

Like I already said, this provided a really stellar way to bring Vlad back into the villain spotlight. He came back just as cruel and cocky as always. His plan to get the whole Fenton family out of the way was *really* smart. He had already figured out how to take care of Danny and make Jack look like an idiot on television. The guy can sure multi-task can’t he?

Alright about what I said earlier about not being any character development, yeah I kinda lied. There was *some* on Jack’s part. Nothing major but it was still there. And his relationship with Danny was really amped up. I think this was what I really liked about this episode. Except for *maybe* BR, Jack hasn’t really been that important. He’s been there to whip up inventions and provide comedy but that was about it. This time it’s different. This time he kicks some *serious* butt. We see that while he may be a goof and a mess-up he *really* loves his family and would do anything to protect them. This was made clear when he agreed to work with D. Phantom even though he was *supposedly* the enemy in Jack’s mind. I don’t know why but I also liked when Jack saved him from that hacky-sack thing. It showed just what a good-hearted guy Jack is.

We also see how much the respect and support of his family means to Jack. He was seriously hurt when he heard Danny talking about how embarrassing he was. His fierce determination to earn Danny’s respect was nice and really just seemed to work with both the episode itself and Jack’s character. Also Danny’s immediate attempt to make Jack feel better was sweet…and funny.

“Ooh…Woo…Fear me!” (Someone’s been fighting the Box Ghost a little too much)

Maddie’s sudden appearance and capture of Danny was a surprise but worked really well for the remainder of the episode. But by far the best part of the episode was Jack confronting Vlad in the end. It was about time Jack did some real fighting. And boy, did he kick butt!

Again, nothing major happened here but it was a defiant for all Jack-fans. And even if you’re not one you’ll realize just how much you love the big, bumbling yet lovable, guy. It was about time someone other than Danny gave Vlad a good whooping.

Actually, I think a line of Jack’s summed up the episode quite nicely.

“But you’re an idiot. An idiot!”

“Maybe so, but I’m the idiot who beat you.”

    8.9/10

  • When Vlad's ghost portal explodes, he hires a group of ghost hunters to hunt down Danny so he can steal the Fentons' portal... and maybe destroy Danny's respect for Jack in the process.

    9.1
    "Superb"
This episode was very, very, very funny. That's basically it. The musical score was okay, though not as good as other episodes, and the animation was adequate for the first half of the episode. The jokes were great... Danny saying 'fear me' was just side-splitting... and the actors did their usual great and very Danny-ish job! All in all a pretty good episode.
  • Two reasons why I didn't like this episode..

    5.0
    "Mediocre"
This episode isn’t one of my favorites of Danny Phantom. First of all, Jack is the least of my favorite characters in the series, mainly because he goofs up all the time, and most of the time, he’s more annoying than funny. Furthermore, this episode would have been more exciting if Danny had to face better ghost hunters, instead of facing a sad rendition of ‘Men in White’, the lousy ‘Scooby Gang’ with a scared tiger, and Bike hunting wannabes. I feel like with all these hunters, I was watching 10 versions of Jack instead of one. This was my first reason for not liking this episode.

My second reason is, since this episode had Vlad involved, I expected Danny to be in serious trouble and have a hard time fighting him. But for Vlad to lose to Jack is something else. I guess the creators wanted to show that Jack wasn’t just a goof off and he actually had some good ghost hunting qualities in him, but it’s just really hard for me to see Jack from that perspective.

Because of the above reasons, I thought this episode was average. I agree with the user ‘Blackspaded’’s review, I guess I was expecting too much from this episode, because it had Vlad involved.
  • Vlad’s portal explodes and he hires ghost hunters to hunt down Danny Phantom and make a fool out of Jack.

    10
    "Perfect"
Vlad’s plan is simple: hire a bunch of idiot ghost hunters to track down Danny Phantom for a million dollars, as a diversion to steal the Fenton Portal. I thought the ghost hunters where complete idiots, but they were still funny and great spoofs to. Vlad’s plan failed with funny consequences and even though after Jack beat him and though him back in the ghost zone and it look like he finally had what he was looking for he got eaten. It did a great job foreshadowing of what was to come. (Reign Storm)
  • So Vlad\'s portal explodes and he needs the Fenton\'s, so he opens an anonymous bounty on Inviso-Bill\'s head to distract the Fentons, while he gets his birds to swipe it.

    3.5
    "Bad"
Maybe it\'s because I\'ve expected too much, but this episode had me waiting for it to just end. The only plus sides of the episode was the foreshadowing with the Skeleton Key, the family bonding and the one Vulture\'s crack about \"Ecto-Americans.\" Sure the animation and music was OK, but that was it.

I was expecting to actually get a laugh out of the Ghost Hunters, but it was all just boring, annoying, predictible gimmicks and dialogue. Not one of the three ghost hunter groups left me with a good taste in my mouth. And I was expecting Vlad to have a bigger part in this, but he was mostly on the sidelines while the idiots took centre stage, and once again, Tucker and Sam were pushed almost completely aside for a Plasmius appearance, but it was excusable the first two times, b/c those were great episodes.

I got a vivid impression from the hunters that some FOP humor was being used. Sorry, Mr.Hartman. It\'s OK for FOP, but not DP.

Like I said, I waited for this episode to end, and I\'m hoping that Memory Blank will satisfy me.
  • I can finally review this! Anyway, this is basically what I think of this episode.

    8.7
    "Great"
All in all, it was pretty good. It shows that quite a few ghost hunters are idiots, much more so than Jack. Vlad's plot was pretty good, though still stuck with the villain cliches.

As for Danny, he had shown both stupidity and maturity in this episode. In my opinion, it was a bit selfish to insult his dad, but he revealed his maturity when they made up at the end of the episode.

As for Jack, he finally got to prove himself. (though he allied briefly with "Inviso-Bill") He managed to save his family and regain the respect of his son.

As for Vlad, I liked him too, but I thought he was defeated too easily. He used all his powers against Danny, so why not Jack? It shows that underestimating your opponent, no matter who they are is one of the stupidest things you can do.

    Look forward to more!
  • When the best known ghost hunters come to town searching for "Invisobill", Danny's family and powers are atstake. Little does he know these ghost hunters were hired Vlad, as a scheme to steal Jack's Portal. After the Fentons are at risk, it's up to Jack

    5.0
    "Mediocre"
This episode wasn't the best Danny Phantom that I've seen. Danny didn't use his powers, which was a bummer. However, the story line was very good, but it backfired. Sam and Tucker's roles weren't the best either. Sam kept yelling at Danny to do something to help his father at the most random and worst times. Also, I didn't enjoy the ghost hunters. When the commericals were aired, it seemed like the ghost hunters were going to be pretty good. The commercials made it seem like the episode was very intense, but it hardly was. The humor in this episode was like every Danny Phantom episode, very funny.

In conclusion, this episode basically had no point. Sam and Danny's relationship didn't go anywhere. Danny didn't gain any powers. No major ghosts were captured, because we all know that Vlad escapes. It was a bummer, but of course I'm still going to watch my favorite TV show of all time!
  • Definetly one of my fave episodes!

    10
    "Perfect"
Perhps on of the most humorus episodes to date. The parodies on Men in Black, Scooby Doo, and Extreme Ghostbusters was exceptionally done. As was Danny's own little paraody of the Box ghost ("Fear Me!")

Yet the Danny-Jack interaction was also extremely touching, Danny going to far as to turn himself in to restore his fathers confidence.

I also noticed something ele this episode, which I reviewed my old tapes to make sure. Danny always trades witty banter with his opponents, his tactics seem to sink a few levels when facing Plasmius

1)Bitter Reunions: When Danny realizes he can't flat out defeat Plasimus, he uses Vlad's weakness (His affection for Maddie) to get him to agree to a truce

2)Maternal Instincts: Danny takes advantage of Vlad's desire for him and Maddie to accept him and join him in order to get close

3)Million-Dollar Ghost: "Why don't you go home to the love of your life? That's right, Dad married the love of your life. You're bitter and alone" A tad below the belt, wouldn't you say?

I think this is because not only does Plasmius pose the biggest threat ghost-wise, he's the only ghost that such a threat on a personal level, both to Danny's human person and family.

"The Millon-Dollar Ghost," the first new episode in months, features Vlad Masters/Plasmius up to his old tricks again. His lab destroyed in an attempt to possess an ancient key, he devises a plan to steal Jack Fenton's by posting a million-dolllar bounty on the head of Danny Phantom. This will get Jack out of the house and allow Vlad to steal his portal, Jack being humiliated in front of the best-known ghost hunters and Danny's respect for his father wearing away. What is unknown to everyone is that the same malfunction that ruined Vlad's portal is about to strike the Fenton's!

The new Danny Phantoms have arrived, and if this episode is any indication, we are in for one heck of a season! "The Million-Dollar Ghost" was definately worth a million dollars!

Every episode that has featured Vlad has been a favourite of mine. The rest of the episode holds up in all these cases, but Vlad himself really intrigues me. In "Bitter Reunions", he was very dark, sinister, menacing, and powerful. In "Maternal Instinct", he still had these traits, but he's also shown to not really think straight around Maddie and to be a bit careless. Here, he seemed mid-way between his two sides - for most of the episode, he is powerful, dark, and in control, but he does have a bit of carelessness to him. I thought that was a good balance. I really liked seeing him again and I can't wait for his next appearance!

The rest of the episode was very good. It sort of seemed like a follow-up to MI. MI had Danny bonding with his mother; in this episode, he gets closer to Dad. I was a bit worried about how that would be played out - Jack has been rather...overdone before - but I thought the development between father and son was very well pulled-off and very touching. In a different kind of way from in MI touching, but still touching.

I liked seeing Jack as both the bumbling goofball and a serious ghost-hunter. We've seen him be serious before, but we haven't seen him show any real skill at ghost-fighting up until now. I thought he could have had a bit of a harder time beating Vlad, but it was pretty well pulled-off. Seeing him in his rare moment of glory was nice, especially after enduring such a humilation in front of all those ghost-hunters.

Apparently, the paranormal field is attractive to rather unusual people ;) All of the crazy people in town was a nice touch to the episode.

The overall plot was very good, with Vlad's scheme nice and complex. He and Walker really cook up some complicated evil plots. The device of the key was neat, and I'd like to learn more about that. Perhaps Vlad will still have it once he escapes that monster? And it was fun to see him bringing back his old henchmen the vultures. I find those guys hilarious.

And we got to learn more on how The Ghost-Zone Portal works. Always neat to learn about the Fenton gadgets.

I have two really minor notes on this episode. First, Tucker and Sam were minor characters for the third Vlad episode in a row. Can't they get involved and meet the guy already? Second, the humour in this episode seemed to be comprised more of gags than the usual DP humour. While it worked for this episode, gag humour in the place of subtle wit and various devices doesn't seem like a good thing to set as a trend.

I loved this episode very much! Again, 10/10, and I can't wait for "Control Freaks!"
