-
Apparently, Tucker is as good in sewing class as he is with computers.
-
Desiree is the second ghost whose human life is revealed, the first was Poindexter in the previous episode, "
Splitting Images".
-
The name of this episode must come from Desiree granting wishes and giving people "what they want." Apparently, she also grants wishes when someone says "I want" and not just "I wish."
-
Look Hard: At the very end of the episode, when Sam is bringing Danny & Tucker soup, you can see that Danny is wearing bunny slippers.
-
Butch Hartman probably got the idea for the character of Desiree from his other television show, The Fairly Oddparents, since Cosmo and Wanda AND Desiree all grant wishes when they hear "I wish." The name may also come from the word "desire," which is one letter away from Desiree, and she grants the desire of someone's heart.
-
The control box next to the Fenton Portal keeps on disappearing and appearing throughout the episode.
-
The following wishes were made:
1) Unnamed girl- Cotton candy
2) Dash- To turn into a monster that could crush the other football team single handedly.
3) Paulina- To be as popular as Sayonara Pussycat.
4) Tucker- Ghost powers.
5) Surfer- For his car to fly.
6) Man in suit- For a million dollars.(Ungranted)
7) Danny- For Desiree to disappear inside the thermos.
-
Desiree grants wishes using ghosts: She gives Tucker Ghost Powers, turns Dash into a monster, and in "
Memory Blank," she grants wishes the same way besides when she erased Danny's powers.
-
Apparently, Desiree has to be the eaisest ghost to beat since all you have to do is wish that she'd be sucked into the thermos, the same for "
Memory Blank," but oddly, in this episode and "
Memory Blank," they have a hard time fighting Desiree.
-
This episode marks the first time that Tucker is seen without glasses.
-
Look Hard: The movie that Tucker was watching was called, "Ponies, Ponies, Ponies."
-
Look Hard: The name of the store where Tucker's head was sticking out on a plate was called, "Mr. Meat Butcher Shop."
-
In this episode, Desiree's tagline for when she grants a wish is "Your heart's desire is my command."
-
It is revealed that it is possible for a ghost to remove a ghost who is overshadowing a human, by picking the ghost out by hand, lightly zapping the human with an ectoplasmic energy blast, or as shown in the next episode, "
Bitter Reunions," by literally pushing the ghost out of the human's body while being intangible.
-
It is shown that after Danny captures a ghost in the Fenton Thermos, he puts the thermos in a slot next to the Fenton Portal, which releases the ghost back into the Ghost Zone.
-
When Tucker got his ghost powers, his spectral glow was green.
-
This is the first episode in which Star appears in the opener.
-
After it was hinted in "
One of a Kind," Danny confirms that his grade point average is a "C."
-
Look Hard: During the scene where Danny and Tucker pick up the skateboard wheels, in the background, there is a banner that reads, "Amity Park Swap Meet, SAT-SUN," and all the stores/attractions that were at the swap meet include:
1) Madam Babazita's Mystical Oddities.
2) Tool Depot.
3) Books, Videos, DVDs, Music.
4) Snacks-n-Candy.
5) Try Your Luck.
6) Skateboards.
7) Blowout Sale.
8) Kisses $1.00.
9) Dental Work (Cheap).
10) Sheep Seat Covers.
11) Car Stereo.
12) T-Shirts.
13) Caps.
14) Kebob.
-
Running Gags: 1) Dash getting dogpiled by the rival football team. 2) Someone sneezing.
-
Listen Closely: On the P.A. system, a guy announces the name of the movie theater that Danny and Tucker were at, "Googleplex Cinemas." Although in "
"13"," Sam and Tucker went to a movie theater called "Amity Park Movie Plex," which looks very similar to Googleplex Cinemas.
-
Look Hard: The girls who were fawning over Sayonara Pussycat can be seen watching "Dead Teacher IV," which is ironic since they both seemed very eager to see "Sayonara Pussycat."
-
-
Look Hard: There is a poster above the water fountain that Mr. Lancer was at that says, "Read, Don't be an Idiot!"
-
Apparently, Paulina is not fully satisfied with her popularity.
-
Look Hard: Star (who plays a much larger role and officially "debuts" in "
Lucky in Love") makes two cameos in this episode. The first one is at the swap meet that Danny and Tucker were at during the opener: Star can be seen running away from the tidal wave of cotton candy. The second one is during the scene where Tucker is invisible and holding a lunch tray: Star can be seen right next to Tucker with a tray in her hand.
-
Look Hard: The following are Tucker's original grades before he changed them on the computer:
1) History - D.
2) Spanish - C.
3) Algebra - F.
4) Sewing - A.
5) Physical Ed. - F.
6) Computers - A.
-
Opener: In front of the school, Tucker starts narrating what happened at the Amity Park Swap Meet. He and Danny check out a genie lamp, but turn it down. A little girl with a balloon says she wants cotton candy, but her mother says no. Her balloon knocks over the lamp, and a genie-like ghost named Desiree comes out. She then throws cotton candy everywhere. Danny transforms into Danny Phantom and fires his new plasma blast at her, blasting her away.
-
This is the first time that Danny has overshadowed a female: Paulina.
-
Sam, Jack, Maddie, Danny, & Tucker all had a cold for a portion of the episode.
-
In all their years of friendship, this episode marks the first time that Danny and Tucker had a fight.
-
It is revealed that it is possible for a ghost to throw the ghost who is trying to overshadow them out of their body.
-
We learn that it is possible for two ghosts to overshadow the same body.
-
It is revealed that Sam's family is over-protective.
-
This is the first that Sam does not encounter the main ghost villain of the episode.
-
This is the second time that Danny had to fight one of his friends, the first time was Sam (as a dragon) in "
Parental Bonding."
-
Danny's wish that his father would invent something that would turn him back into a regular human, which was mentioned in "
Mystery Meat," comes true since the Fenton Ghost Catcher managed to separate his human and ghost side. However, Danny doesn't seem to want to turn back into a normal human anymore.
-
Tucker's fantasy about being in the girls locker room (stated by Lancer in "
Mystery Meat") comes true in this episode.
-
Jazz is absent in this episode.
-
Tucker narrates this episode.
-
We learn that Sam hates sports.
-
Butch Hartman &
Steve Marmel make cameo appearances as animated characters in this episode. They were the two announcers at the football game in the beginning.
