  • Teachers are weird and crazy!

    7.5
    "Good"
I need to get into funsraisers like this, but i would never knock on the crazy teacher's door. I dunno what is wrong with Daria's view on life becuase she always sees the negative things first before the good stuff even come into play, and yet it is funny. Kevin and Britney need to some serius help with the things they say before it comes outta thier mouth. The funny thing is that the robbery had nothing to do with this episode. who was the robber though? And that guitar player during rehearsal doesn't know one thing about caution bcuz that cigarette that was laying on top of the amp could've cuased some serius fire. Also Daria could go into bookwriting instead of poetry.
  • Too much Mr O Neill, not enough jokes.

    6.0
    "Fair"
The Lawndale Internat Cafe is broken into, and the next day Mr O Neill asks some of his students how they feel about this "tragedy". Daria, sceptical of the notion of "connecting to the world" suggests that there's nothing community-based about a web cafe. Hearing this Mr O Neill decides it would be a great idea for the students to raise enough money to plan and build a real cafe, complete with poetry and music, a place for the students.

A lot of this episodes centres on the fundraising aspect of the project. Kevin and Britney visit Mr DeMartino, who just happens to be cooking a chicken. Quinn flirts with the customers while trying to sell phonecards, and Daria and Jane reluctantly go and sell chocolate bars.

This episode is pretty empty to say the least. The plot works, but nothing about it stands out as being truly funny or interesting. Too many scenes involving Mr O Neill don't help, and quite frankly there's a shortage of jokes throughout the episode. DeMartino as always impresses, as does Kevin, but O Neill just comes across as annoying and boring for the majority of the episode.

A filler episode, nothing here is worth tuning in for.
  • Daria's parents become worried about Daria's college future

    7.2
    "Good"
Daria isn't a senior in high school and still has three years to worry about applications and SAT prep. I didn't worry until my senior year and I got into the college I wanted to. It's a bit early for Daria, and her parents, to be worried. I think that the fantasy scenes were the best of Daria so far. However, this episode was just fair. It had funny moments and a good plot line but the inaccurate college life depicted was too much for me.

    My rating: B
  • This is CERTAINLY better than the second episode and I am well pleased.

    9.2
    "Superb"
This is a really cool episode. What's not to love? It was fun to see them in the "college prep class" and then Jane, Daria, Britney, and Kevin started dreaming about how it would be. I ESPECIALLY cracked up when in Daria's fantasy, she is supposed to be made teacher of a graduate school in her freshman year and then the president of the school (who's offering the job) said, "..Great! Now I can use your dorm room to have affairs.." and then Daria looks straight in the camera and says, "Why is it that even in my fantasies, people act like jerks?". Great episode MTV. Great episode. :)
