Dark Blue

I really like Dylan McDermott as an actor, hes way underated and so as a lead character hes perfect. this sho has a slick feel to it at first but the performances seem more genuine and the pilot's plot, although far from original, is extremely exciting. The dynamic between the 4 main charatcer is great and we start to truly get behind them very quick.



It seems like on paper like a been there, seen that type of show. But my reactions after watching it where far from that. I was syked to see more.



Hopefully this gets a big audience,it desereves it.

It's nice to watch a new show and be able to finish it because it's good.



First of all, it's nice to see Dylan McDermott back. His character is strong and smart and the rest of the characters are very interesting. The liar girl, the beloved husband and the guy who could be like he's on the other side. The plot was interesting. Feds competing with cops and in the end, cops win, at least in this well, cop show. The scene in the car wash was nerve-wrecking, I thought Dean's cover was going to be exposed.



I wanted to see Nikki's character develop more, show her skills but hopefully in the next episode.



So Shaw's wife is dead. Whatever happened to her?

An interesting Pilot from Jerry Bruckheimer, Movie Producer and originator of the CSI series. This show details a deep undercover police operation that is unknown even to most of the LAPD. Lead by star Dylan McDermott who plays Lieutenant Carter Shaw a tormented decorated police veteran who has lost his wife. The Pilot episode was good but I have reservations about this show in general. It seems that all three of the main male characters don't have a lot about them to like. I believe that is vital to the needs of the viewers. So far we haven't seen anything from two of them that gives you that. One, Ty played by Omari Hardwick has cheated or thought about cheating on his wife while undercover. The other, Dean played by Logan Marshall-Green is obviously pocketing money and contraband from his undercover work. You have some sympathy for Shaw as they show the footage of him and his wife. The female lead Jaime played by Nicki Lynn Aycox is a former criminal who has lied about her past to make a new future for herself. You feel some compassion for that character plus she's the new guy! The story itself was pretty good. A major thief is being tracked by many law enforcement organizations and there are some clashes that occur when two or more groups are trying to get the same results. The only question was how deep had Dean gone. Even his own people had doubt which is what I suppose the reason that this episode was done. When you are undercover you never know how deep you have to go to get the job done. It just seems that there was a lot of collateral damage, too much actually, for even an undercover group to handle. In the end they didn't even catch the criminal. They had to shoot him. If that was what they were going to do they could have done that a lot earlier without all of the other problems that arose.



This was a good first try. I would have liked a little more background and I wonder what the format of this show really will be, but it sure looks like it's worth taking the ride to find out. Thanks for reading...
