A news crew is on the scene when Tuskernini tries to steal the St. Canard crystal duck and Darkwing shows up to stop him. They have a short and funny battle and Tuskernini gets away, but Darkwing Duck saves the crystal. Launchpad is with him and is dressed like Darkwing to confuse the bad guys. Launchpad removes his outfit and the news crew catches it on tape and report that Launchpad is Darkwing Duck. This creates all kind of mayhem for Launchpad and Tuskernini thinks that Launchpad is Darkwing Duck and plans to get rid of him once and for all...moreless

    • When Launchpad drives up to the Muddlefoot's destroyed house, Drake is in the front seat. The next scene shows Drake in his Darkwing Duck outfit.

    • Gosalyn calls Darkwing "dad" in front of the police. This happens several times in the series.

  • QUOTES (5)

  • NOTES (3)

    • The scene in the opening credits with Darkwing being hit on the head with a rolling pin is taken from this episode.

    • Lauchpad's address (and also Drake Mallard's) is 537 Avian Way and the Muddlefoot's address is 539 Avian Way.

    • Drake Mallard comes up with some new secret identities, including Double O Duck, which was the orginal name that Disney was going to use for the Darkwing Duck.

  • ALLUSIONS (4)

    • A Duck by Any Other Name

The title is a take off of a quote from Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet:
"What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet."

    • Steven Spielberg

      Tuskernini: I am Steven Spectacle

Stephen Spectacle is a take off on Steven Spielberg.

    • Gilligan's Island

Launchpad: Just in time for Pelican's Island

This show, from the title and the look of the characters is obviously a take off of Gilligan's Island and has been mentioned in other episodes.

    • Star Wars and Star Trek

Tuskernini: You will hand over your dilithum 4 crystals immediately.

Tuskernini wears a costume similar to Darth Vader's from Star Wars and he also mentions dilithum crystals, an element from Star Trek.
