In honor of Valentines' Day (which is coming up in less than two weeks), I just wanted to post this thread to ask what are your favorite DWD romantic pairings.... canon pairings or fan pairings are perfectly acceptable....

    My favorites....

    Drake (Darkwing)/Morgana

Launchpad/OC (hey, the big lug definitely deserves somebody even if it IS an original character)

Negaduck/pretty much any villainess with the looks, brains, power (or skill) AND ruthlessness to capture and keep his interest

Doctor Bellum/Ludwig Von Drake (okay, so Ludwig isn't a DWD character, but Doctor Bellum is)

    Launchpad and Tia, surely?

And Negaduck could never have a mate - he's too bloodthirsty and power mad so he'd destroy any villainess put with him! She'd have to be crazier than him!

Steelbeak and Amonia Pine? lol Poor Steelbeak.

I don't think Negaduck is capable of loving. His heart is too polluted with evil.

Yeah, but I COULD see him, at least, being ATTRACTED to a powerful, ruthless, intelligent and good-looking villainess. There IS a difference between "being attracted to somebody" and "loving somebody".

    Yeah, lust not love.

He seems like a fairly lustful type of guy.

    But again - what woman?

That would be MY best guess too, viewer876, but let's get this discussion back on track, shall we.... PLEASE?

Yeah. I gotcha. Sorry. You're right. I apologize. You WERE on topic, but what about other pairings? My apologies. I should have made that clearer.

Yeah. I have to admit THAT's certainly possible... ten, fifteen or twenty years down the road. Good one.

I'd like to mention a pairing, with one of my own fan characters: The Liquidator and Nina (She was this cat who could change herself into a water form with the help of a magical gun. Long story...)

Well, that's certainly allowed. Thanks very much for sharing.

The Liquidator and Neptunia. I know technically they are on opposing sides, but think about it: a match made in heaven!

    Love conquers all!

Interesting thought and certainly allowed to be discussed, but honestly, I don't really see it. I mean, sure they ARE both mutants, both aquatically based and both victims of toxic chemicals that caused their mutation in the first place. Aside from that, though, I don't really see it. I mean, Liquidator's a fast-talking ad/con-man type whose only concern is making a quick buck (even though he technically doesn't really have any need for money anymore). Neptunia is a pretty dedicated environmental crusader who probably only sees money as a symbol of the corporate greed that undoubtedly caused her accident in the first place. Now, I could definitely see Neps ending up with a aquatic-based mutate with a somewhat more heroic agenda; I don't deny the possiblity of that.
