I'm a big Fearsome Five fan. Megavolt and Bushroot were very well developed, and Liquidator and QuackerJack less so but nevertheless still fantastic characters. And certainly, Negaduck is a perfect foil for DW (and vice versa of course). QJ had potential to be much darker than he ended up being portrayed in most episodes, though I think 'Whiffle While You Work' and 'Toys Czar Us' probably revealed that aspect of his character a bit more. Tad Stones indicated that he had high hopes for QJ and wanted him to be more Joker-esque, but he didn't really like how he turned out. I don't really agree - haha, QJ is still pretty creepy, but I understand his sentiment.
Of the FF though, Megavolt is my favorite. One of his writers, Doug Langdale, knew exactly where his comedic qualities resided and put them to great demonstration. A lot of his dialogue with DW and other characters can really be quoteboarded!
As far as the good guys, I like DW. Watching him now vs. when I was 13, I see him as a little more 'gray' than 'white', which makes him more interesting in my opinion. He's actually a pretty fascinating and complex character.
