I'm surprised nobody has ever posted on this board yet. I guess all anybody cares about is pop culture crap. These internet predator investigations are more entertaining than any of those crap sitcoms out there these days, that's for sure.

No wonder.. This board sucks. Nevermind. How about you let us write reviews for current episodes tv.fraud? I guess you're too busy with crap like "Alf", "Angel" and "Charmed". Who cares about current events right?

What is stopping you from posting a review? If you want changes, you have to contribute to changes. Not just wail about it   I look forward to reading your contributions, opinions and viewpoints - as I'm sure others would too!

Sometimes they're funny to watch, but most of the times its very very disturbing. Like where this old guy brought his young son (like seven or eight) after he talked about having sex with an underage girl. Or the guy who got in the house, then locked the doors..... good thing they are taking these dopes off the streets.

It's great how they do these shows... they are so popular, too.  They should have one every week!! LIVE!!
They just have to work harder at keeping these people behind bars for a long time.

I thought the worst one was the guy that got naked and chased the cat around the house. STRANGE. And he wanted her to do stuff with the cat. I guess it just shows how stupid people really are to fall for that crap all the time. I just love the To Catch A Predators episodes. People are so stupid. There is a new predator episode on Wednesday at 8:00.

To Catch A Predator is very informative. It gets me what they say once they are caught. As if less then 5 seconds ago they didn't walk into a house to meet a minor. Then they get to the jail and crying. But the one thing they do say that I agree with is that they have problems. They mostly always say "I don't know what I was thinking." How ironic?

Not that I'm complaining, but these predators are really idiots. They see the show every week (most of them confess to that) and yet they fall for the trap. I guess perversion runs a lot deeper than common sense with these people.

To the OP, I never really thought about Dateline having a spot on TV.com. I discuss current events on news boards and with friends and family. I have enjoyed Dateline and 20/20 and 48 hours since I was a little girl. (I used to like Unsolves Mysteries too) I am a bit offended you think we on TV.com are stupid, I just didn't consider news shows would be on a TV show web site.

After enjoying tonight's catch a pervert I thought I'd check. I'm happy those guys are dumb enough to get caught. I wish the pnealties were steeper for getting caught, but I'm not sure if posting what I mean is against TOS or not, but I'm sure you know what I am talking about when I tell you they should NEVER have the chance again.

I think Dateline has made too many To Catch a Predator episodes and they should stop unless it's getting a good rating.

    http://www.firstliberties.com/nbc_dateline_controversy.html

Yeah it was very informative and entertaining to read about that sexual predator shooting himself.....give me a break. They are  doing it for the ratings and money. Dateline NBC while they have done great segments over the years has also made itself look like pop culture crap as well part of that in your face tabloid news reporting that a lot of people have accepted.

    These shows are a joke.

The network and the self deluded do gooders should be ashamed of themselves.

This show entirely exists purely to exploit and they are kidding themselves if they think they are doing a public service of any kind with this near beer version of porn.

Walter Cronkite, Edward R. Murrow, Ted Koppel………… Chris Hansen.

    Amybody see the disconnect?

Apparently one guy was on there two or three times. All he could say was "Ooops". I think these shows are a little bit of entrapment.

I think now that they have aired the episode with the person who shot himself, this should be the end of the series.

At most, it should be done maybe 2-4 times a year as a special. Not that I do not appreciate NBC trying to help get predators of children off the street, but there is other important news that needs to be discussed going on right now. Nothing could be more climatic than one of the predators killing themself. Its time to move on to other news.

I think this show is fascinating  and always have. It's kind of like a traffic accident that you know is horrible but you just can't move your eyes away. If anything, the show should be a warning to predators that they do not act with the anonymity they think they have, and in that sense, it is a public service to the community as well.

One drawback I am noticing is that the format may be getting tired though. We are seeing virtually the same show over and over again with some variations, so it may be time to retire this series and bring it back again in a year or so?
