Davey Crockett was a television miniseries that aired as a series of
five one-hour specials in 1954 and 1955. It explored the life of the
legendary frontiersman, who died at the Alamo in 1836. Davey Crockett
(Fess Parker) and his best friend George Russel (Buddy Ebsen) make their
way through the world, fighting for justice and often defending the
people of the wilderness from savage Indian attacks. When Texas is in
need, Crockett and Russel ride to San Antonio to help defend the
critical citadel, the Alamo.
