Natalie Pinkham opens the episode with Joe Cannon. Joe gives us some more tips on how he keeps all of the shots out of his net. While clips of his saves are shown he comments on each of them.
Next part 1 of the game of the week is shown. This week the Chicago Fire travel to Dallas to take on Juan Toja and his FC Dallas club. FC Dallas controlled the game for the majority of the half, but no goals came from it.
Later we are introduced to more of David's teammates. Carlos Pavon plays forward on the Galaxy and David tells us he is a very skilled player. His teammate Gavin Clinton is the next player to be mentioned and he tells us Carlos is a character because when they are at meetings he understands everything, but when they start talking to him asking him about it he acts like he doesn't understand what they are saying. Goalkeeper, Steve Cronin is a young player but has a lot of skill. Last up is Troy Roberts. Troy is another young Galaxy player who has his "own style" as David states. To close out this segment David congratulates the England and USA Women for their hard work in the FIFA World Cup. The USA Women's Team defeated the English 3-0 in the quarterfinals.
In the next segment we are once again taken to the training session between David and Reggie. Reggie gives David his football pads to put on so they can get down to business. After taking some hits from the New Orleans Saints Running Back, David finally "tricks" him and catches a ball despite Reggie's defense. After a couple more drills the guys call it a day.
Later on we are taken back to Texas for the second part of the game of the week. After some pushing and shoving go on in the box Goodison is carded. Chicago began to play their game in the second half as Chris Rolfe nails a long-distance shot into the back of the net to give the Fire a 1-0 lead. FC Dallas then gained the momentum but could not get the ball past Matt Pickens. In stoppage time Carlos Ruiz gets the tying goal, stunning the Fire. It was Carlos' 7th on the season, and it couldn't have come at a better time. The Fire leave with a disappointing point when they could have left with 3 big ones.
Lastly we are given a recap of all the MLS games this week. The Los Angeles Galaxy and Real Salt Lake tie 2-2 with two penalty kicks in the match. Columbus defeats Toronto 2-1 as Toronto ended their historical scoreless streak but couldn't get the win. New York and New England meet only to tie at 2. Real Salt Lake scores the lone goal of the game to beat Colorado 1-0. With Ante Razov's 109th career goal he give Chivas the win and get them playoff bound. D.C. United and Chicago tie at 1 after Jaime Moreno scores a picture perfect bend that somehow found its way past Matt Pickens. The Los Angeles Galaxy wins their match against FC Dallas 2-1 with goals from Landon Donovan and Chris Klein. D.C United and the New England Revolution along with Chivas USA and the Houston Dynamo clinched playoff birth this week. David then tells us that his ankle is getting better each day but he is still not ready to compete.
