I remember watching this show when I was little. This was a great show about a gnome named David. David was a Gnome who was a hero for all the other gnomes.

He knew how to help animals when they were sick, and he would always have to fight against these bad guys, but I don't remember there names.

Does anyone remember David the Gnome?

Yes, I remember it.  It used to be one of my favorite shows when I was little (right up there with Eureeka's Castle) and I wish they'd bring back the beautiful artwork that they used to have in animated kids shows rather than the horrible stuff they're shoving at kids these days (sorry, don't mean to rant).  Anyways, David the Gnome will live on in my memories as one of the great kids shows of my day.

OHHHH I loved this show I really did.. This was such a good show with good quality stories and everything was so positive and had purpose. Its true the shows nowadays just dont match up to what they used to show. Shows now have a bunch of garbage that doesn't have any positive messages on the end like David the Gnome show did..

I wish it came out on dvd too.. =(

Although I don't remember the storyline  very well, i know that i did love this show. My parents told me that this was one of my favorite shows when i was younger. I wonder why they don't have shows like this on anymore? Maybe the kids of today wouldn't appreciate its simplicity.

you guys can buy the complete unofficial season set of DVDs of David The Gnome off of utnicktoon.com ...I'm thinking about buying "Are You Afraid Of The Dark" on there, but i'm kinda hesitant, as I don't know how the quality will be like.

but anyways, i thought i'd share that with you guys, since I'm a fan of David the Gnome aswell

It didn't get 'cancelled'. The show was actually made in Spain, and was only intended for 26 episodes. It was surely popular overseas at least, as another gnome series was made the next year.
