  • An ex-boyfriend of Jen comes to town.

The beginning of the episode is funny with Joey climbing into Dawson's window all tired and needing sleep and Dawson starts talking about the movie he's watching and she just falls asleep. I like the character Billy. He's different. He was funny when he was making fun of Dawson. The only thing I didn't like was him trying to get back with Jen. I didn't like that Jen and Dawson break up at the end of the episode. I love how Joey gets drunk at the barbecue and Pacey takes her home and she gives him a kiss. I give this episode a 8/10.moreless
  • Breaking up

Billy, Jen's ex-boyfriend, comes to town. He wants to get back together with her. Dawson is very unsure about what to think. He doesn't want Jen to go back to Billy, but Jen seems to act as if she does want to. Meanwhile, Pacey confronts Joey about her feelings for Dawson. The new baby, Alexander, is keeping Joey up. At a party, Joey gets drunk and needs help from Pacey and Dawson. Jen also has to talk to Dawson and Billy at the party. Joey kisses Dawson while still intoxicated. Billy leaves after Jen says that it's over between them. Unfortunately for Dawson, Jen wants to break up with him too. Gale and Mitch try to do new things to mend their relationship.

This episode was really good! I do like Joey and Dawson, so I'm not upset that Jen broke up with Dawson. I didn't like Billy though. I'd rather have Dawson and Jen. I want Gale and Mitch to get back together! This episode gets a 9.0 out of 10!moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • This episode features the second kiss between Dawson and Joey. Except this time an intoxicated Joey kisses Dawson.

    • Goof: When Joey tries to rent The English Patient from Dawson so she can get Alexander to sleep, she says the movie is 181minutes. But the writer made a little goof, because The English Patient is 162 minutes, not 181.

    • Goof: When Dawson comes over to talk to Joey about Billy's arrival, he says "remember yesterday when you asked me how things were going with Jen...". Dawson and Joey were wearing the same outfits and it was obviously the same day.

  • QUOTES (8)

    • Joey: I need to rent the English Patient.
Pacey: May I please suggest something that doesn't completely blow.

    • Billy: So this is really it? You are leaving me for a guy who has an E.T. doll on his bed.
      Jen: It's a collector item.
      Billy: It is a doll.

    • Pacey: How do I look?
Joey: Like a before picture in an ad for geek remover.

    • Mitch: Anyone who has never been hurt is either very lucky, or very lonely.

    • Pacey: Look, Joey, I've never really taken a particular interest in your life because, frankly, your life has never been particularly interesting.

    • Gale: When are you going to stop punishing me?
Mitch: When I can get the vision of my naked wife playing hide the...

    • Cliff: Hey, I'm looking for Jen. You don't know where she is this period do you?
      Dawson: No, I don't. Sorry.
Cliff: Well, give her a message, will you? Tell her I'm having a barbecue at my house this Saturday and I'd love it if she can make it. Hey, what the hell. Why don't you come too?
      Dawson: Cool. Sounds great.
Cliff: I don't know if you can help me with it. Jen doesn't have a boyfriend, does she?
Dawson: Uh, yeah. She does. Me.
      Cliff: Really?
      Dawson: Yeah.
      Cliff: That's terrific, man.

    • Pacey: Oh, Dawson, my fine, oblivious friend. One of these days, you're gonna have to take a gigantic fact-check my friend, all right. She didn't mistake you for anybody, okay. This girl (Joey) is head-in-the-clouds, one hundred percent, ass-backwards in love with you, all right?
