  • Awesome epsiode.

This is one of the best episodes of S6 and the series. Like many others I also think S6 was very weak. S6 was so weak I didn't even care anymore because it just sucked, but then comes this episode and "Clean & Sober" before it. Finally I cared again! The show was alive. This episode was hilarious, funny and romantic. I smiled and paid attention to the show again. When it comes to DC relationships no other couple or fling can beat PJ, period. They are the only two characters in this episode! They are so good only they can pull something like that off. Only Joey Potter can finally shave of that godawful goatee. I thought that thing was going to survive the entire season and that was a scary thought. lol

The episode felt like old school DC. The show fans loved for 4 seasons before the college years. I will never get tired of this episode.moreless
  • One of the best episodes ever

I think this is one of the best episodes of the whole series. I loved how the whole episode was about Pacey and Joey (my favorite couple of DC) and Dawson was nowhere in sight. Katie and Joshua have the best chemistry out of all the people on DC. The way they were bickering brought back memories of the first couple of seasons. I thought the scene where she's shaving him was fantastic. Great writing and great acting. You could totally see the love these 2 people have for each other. And when that awful beard came off it was like having the old Pacey back :) All in all, it was a great episode.moreless
  • Pacey and Joey get locked in a K-Mart store all night.

Brilliant episode! Pacey and Joey are stuck in a K-Mart all night. Finally! Finally, Pacey shaves his beard. I've been waiting all season for him to shave his beard. I love that Joey and Pacey got closer in this episode. And we actually got to see Pacey be himself. That guy that saw Pacey buy the condoms and then found Joey and Pacey in the morning is hilarious. Joey was so nice to tell that lady about how awesome the store is. I really hope Pacey and Joey start dating again. I give this episode a 10/10 because it was so brilliant.moreless
  • A great episode in the midst of a lot of mediocrity.

    9.5
I just saw this episode again last week. It brings the show back to the glory years of Season 3. When Pacey and Joey are together you just want it to work out for them. The conversations between Joey and Pacey in this episode are examples of some very well acted and written scenes. Both their discussion of why they can't talk about each other's sex lives and the scene after Joey shaves Pacey's beard are fantastic. My favorite part is when Pacey explains how wanting to kiss Joey is always there, "Like white noise, or the Secret Service, it's just something you get used to." By bringing the show back to the time when Pacey and Joey were together it makes the show more interesting than the rest of the season when it's focused on people like Eddie and Joey.moreless
  • How long have I been waiting for this?

    10
Quite sometime. I thought this episode was brilliant. Locked inside a giant K-Mart. Which they made very beleivable I might add. The story was great, and you could cut the sexual tension with a knife. It was fun to watch the reminice about their past relationship. It was even better to watch Joey shave Pacey's beard. He was back. In all his baby face glory. The sweet fun-loving guy we came to love so much. Cuddling by the "fire" in their sleeping bags. Sharing feelings they hadn't shared with each other in so long. Perfect ending to a perfect episode.moreless

  • TRIVIA (6)

    • Goof: When Pacey and Joey are paying for their items, the cashier asks him whether 'they found everything they were looking for' and he answers no, but they found what they needed, which was even more important. He then elaborates, explaining that 'if you found everything you needed that day, what would be the point of doing it all over again the next day'.

Joshua Jackson obviously messed up his line, since he meant to say 'if you found everything you wanted, what would be the point of doing it all over again the next day'.

    • When Pacey and Joey are in the break room waiting for the police to call them back, they start arguing. Then the phone rings but Joey asks Pacey not to answer it so they can finish their conversation. This doesn't make sense at all considering how hard they had tried to get some help to get them out.

Explanation: It's been even harder for those two to work out their relationship issues. Even when they were together they argued a lot. If they could resolve things maybe missing the phone call would be worth it. They weren't in any real danger.

    • When Pacey and Joey get locked in the K-Mart, they run to the front doors and start banging on them and yelling at the guard. The guard, who is in the parking lot turns back towards his car and faces directly towards them. He isn't that far away not to have noticed two adults standing in the front glass doors, banging on them and yelling at him.

    • Goof: When Joey and Pacey are playing Battleship, several pins can be seen in each screen, marking the areas that have been already tried but there are no actual ships visible.

    • Goof: At the begining of the episode when Joey sees the woman's hand on Pacey's leg, both before and after she sees it, both of the woman's hands are either above the table or slightly below. Nowhere near Pacey's leg.

    • Goof: When Pacey goes to sign the receipt in the morning, he is holding the pen upside down.

  • QUOTES (8)

    • Joey: I don't know. I guess I feel different. Like... I've always had this tendency to assume that change, when it happens, can only be for the worse. You know? And lately, I kinda feel like that's not true... like whatever's waiting for me out there... may not be that bad. And even if it is... then not knowing about it... might actually be the good part.

    • Joey: Well, are you gonna answer that, or are we gonna finish this?
Pacey: We could live for a thousand years, and we would never finish this.

    • Joey: You were wanting to kiss me all night?
      Pacey: Yes.
Joey: Even when you were yelling at me.
Pacey: Especially when I was yelling at you.
Joey: So... is this... some sort of... recent new development in your life?
Pacey: Wanting to kiss you? No. It's sort of always there... like... white noise, or... the secret service or the threat of nuclear war, for that matter. Just somethin' you get used to.

    • Pacey: I don't know. But... you remember how you said you were willing to be surprised by the future?
      Joey: Yeah.
      Pacey: Surprise.

    • Joey: (To Pacey) Just because I've never done it before doesn't mean I'm not gonna be good at it. I was good at sex, wasn't I?

    • Pacey: You're kidding, right?
Joey: You said one thing, Pacey.
Pacey: I said one thing that would help you. How does changing my physical appearance help you?
Joey: Believe me, if I don't have to look at that thing on your face anymore, I will consider myself helped. Here.

    • Joey: You are letting me drive, right?
Pacey: Drive? My car? (Laughs) Do I appear to have lost consciousness? Because that's the only circumstance under which you could drive my car.

    • Joey: Wait, Pacey. Let me get my shoe.
      Pacey: Come on, Cinderella.
Joey: (Sighs) You have a hot date or something?
Pacey: No, but a beautiful woman did just offer to have sex with me, no strings attached.
Joey: You're so cute when you're delusional.
