Joey has borrowed a coat from Morgan that she returns even though both are heading out to the cold night, each one in a different way. Doesn't make much sense for Morgan to carry around 2 coats and Joey none while she still needs it and could have returned it some time later. It's also rather un-gentleman like for A.J. not to offer his coat to Joey, since he is wearing a lot more clothes than her, that has bare shoulders in a freezing night.
Goof: When Pacey and Joey are driving back from Boston, pine forests can be seen at both sides of the road. However, when Pacey pulls off to park, the landscape becomes really different: barren land, a few trees and a lake. Apparently, preset background video was used for the scenes shot inside the car.
Goof: While Pacey and Joey are driving to the train station, the lanes are full of cars and there's a heavy traffic. However, as soon as he pulls off the main road, it is still visible in the background but it becomes almost deserted as well as smaller. Apparently, preset video was used for the scenes shot inside the car.
Famous Firsts: Pacey kisses Joey for the second time in their life but only the first after realizing he is in love with her. (Pacey kissed her for the first time in Double Date)
Goof: Dawson's mom hands him a mug of clam chowder. The handle of the mug is to the left of his face as he drinks. The shot switches, he is still drinking yet the handle is now to the right side of his face. It then flashes back to the left and then back to the right as they talk.
Pacey: You can't keep doing this to me, Potter!
Buzz: Is she a hottie? Pacey: I'm not gonna answer that. Buzz: C'mon, I'm nine. I got years before I even get near it. Least you can do is cough up a description. Pacey: She's so beautiful that when you look at her your knees tremble, your heart melts, and you know, without reservation, that there is order and meaning to the universe. Buzz: She's a hottie. Pacey: Oh, yeah.
Joey: I'm not meant to. Isn't that obvious by now? Pacey: Because you're sixteen and alone. Joey: Because I'm sixteen and in my entire life there's only been two people that have ever really known me. Dawson and... Pacey: This A.J. didn't know you. I don't care how you felt about him. He didn't know you, Joey. Because if he did, he never would have walked away from you. Joey: I was gonna say you, Pacey.
Pacey: So you're a smartass? Guess that's why they put us together. People think I'm a smartass too. Buzz: But when they get to know you they discover that under the gruff exterior lies a vulnerable beating heart. Get real. I'm not like the kids on "Seventh Heaven" and I'm not like you, Pissy. Pacey: Pacey. Buzz: Whatever, Pissy.

The title of the episode, Cinderella Story, is an allusion to the classic fairy tale Cinderella, where a prince determines who the girl he wants to marry with is, using a glass shoe that she previously lost when leaving a dance.
Buzz: But when they get to know you they discover that under the gruff exterior lies a vulnerable beating heart. Get real. I'm not like the kids on "Seventh Heaven" and I'm not like you, Pissy. 7th Heaven is also a show produced by the WB. The kids on the show are all trouble-makers in various ways, but always seem to learn their lesson and are all good at heart.
