When Dawson and Eve break in the PSAT room, they leave the window open. The security guard walks by the window twice, without noticing it. It is not likely that they would leave the window open or that the security guard wouldn't start talking having the security guard so close by, and that the security guard didn't close the window and secure the room.
When Dawson and Eve break in the PSAT room, they hide under under a desk not to be caught. However, once the guard passes them, they start talking in rather loud whispers. It is not likely that they would start talking having the security guard so close by, and that the security guard didn't hear them.
When Dawson shows up at Joey's workplace where she is asleep at the desk, he starts fighting verbally out loud with Pacey, who is sitting outside. However it isn't until they start fighting physically that Joey wakes up and comes running out to see what is going on. It is not likely that she would have slept through the loud verbal fight.
Goof: When the news anchor mentions the author of the popular book Cracking the PSAT, Andie says "Way ahead of you" and holds up her copy of the book. On Andie's book cover, it says Cracking the SAT, instead of 'PSAT'.
Goof: When Dawson and Eve are talking by his locker about who could have taken the PSAT test, Eve's arms are in a different position depending if she is shot from the front or from the rear. Apparently, the shots of Eve from the front and from the rear during this scene were filmed at two different times.
(Talking about the main character of tv show Felicity). Dawson: Don't take me wrong, she's pretty but what kind of heroine is she? She's indecisive, she's basically paralysed by some romantic notions of the way things are supposed to be... Eve: She's you!
Pacey: You, Dawson Leery, are a self-righteous son of a bitch who cares more about his rose colored defunct 1950's belief system, than the people who fail to live up to it, huh? Dawson: Interesting choice of words coming from a smug cold hearted son of a bitch who just dumped his girlfriend after she begged him... pleaded for an ounce of sympathy. Pacey: At least I didn't send her father to prison. Dawson: No. You just made her go crazy.
Joey: Have you been drinking? Pacey: Only liquor, I promise.
Joey: I bet when she offered you that test you didn't fire one ethical comment her way, did you?... It's just your friends who have to sit here and... and suffer through the Dawson Leery morality play, bleached blonde ho-bags willing to put out need not audition.
Andie: Don't worry, Pacey. This isn't going to be one of those horribly awkward, hope-boy-didn't-mean-all those-hurtful-things-he-said-during-the- break-up-moment. Pacey: Well that's a relief 'cuz I sure don't wanna play the guy-feels-guilty-about-breakup-even-though-it-was-girl-who-had-an-affair-with-the-mental-patient-scene.
Music featured in the episode included: Absolutely (Story Of A Girl) by Nine Days Swaying by Train Speak Of The Devil by Chris Isaak You Won't See Me Cry by Sue Medley From My Head To My Heart by Evan and Jaron
Eve: Not really, it's just that my taste in fairy tales usually runs more towards... The Brothers Grimm. The Brothers Grimm wrote a series of dark fairy tales featuring witches, goblins, trolls, etc.
Jack: Okay, Ward, uh, I'm not Beaver Cleaver and we're not in black and white here. Refers to the TV show Leave it to Beaver.
Dawson: Alright, you know what, take Felicity for example... Refers to the TV show Felicity.
