Dawson has a hard time getting over Jen. Billy hasn't left town because he heard that Jen broke up with Dawson. After Jen rejects him, Billy decides to take Dawson and Pacey on a road trip to the city. He takes them to a club so they could meet women and Dawson can get over Jen. Dawson meets a woman he likes, and she helps him forget about Jen. Meanwhile, Warren makes up a lie that he and Joey slept together. She and Jen get back at him. Joey tells Abby that she's pregnant. The situation gets bigger, but Warren finally backs off. Jen talks to Joey about her love for Dawson.

This was a pretty good episode! I'm glad that Joey and Dawson are virgins by choice. I really want Joey and Dawson together! This episode gets an 8.5 out of 10!moreless

"Road Trip" is one of the most entertaining episodes in season 1. The character Billy becomes much more likable in this episode but at the same time it seems so unrealistic. And that's the only problem I have with this episode. Grams so funny letting Billy stay their because he helping out around the house knowing that Jen will never get back together with him Anyways, I love how Billy, Pacey, and Dawson take a road trip and doing crazy things. I love how Joey pretends to be pregnant to get back at Warren. It was nice to see Joey and Jen work together in this episode. I give this episode a 8.5/10.moreless

While this episode isn't entirely necessary to the overall plot of DC, it is important to note that Joey and Jen share not only more moments of closeness but Jen helps Joey fight a cruel rumor. This episode shows how much Jen wants to be Joey friend and the lengths she will go to to show her. To celebrate the victory over the jock and the rumor, Joey buys some ice cream, goes to Jen's and shares it with her thus giving the audience the opportunity to see that if Dawson weren't between the two of them they might actually be friends. That particular point is actually discussed during one scene, of course, with each girl believing Dawson is in love with the other one.moreless
