Saturday, June 30, 2007 Announcement; Not a Blog Just to let all you DLMers out there know that this past week, I have been informed that after this "Dead Like Me" movie comes out, it may, go back to series. After seeing the movie, you'll have to be the judge of whether or not you like the new concept. Give it a chance. I know we all hate change but it has been two years since season 2 so there has to be evolution. 2:25 PM
Everybody has to buy the DVD/watch the show now!

    In other words, Woo Hoo!

yeah everyone needs to buy the DVD of the movie so that MGM knows we are interested in watching. I don't care how tight on money you are (take out a $20 loan) just get this movie when it comes out.

I hope this "change" is for the better. If so, then I am wetting my pants about the new series!

    My feelings exactly.

And it so works with the show, too. It didn't start living until it died. Heh. *tear*

This is just too good to be true! Will definitely buy the DVD - hell, I'll buy 5 copies if they bring back the series. With Mandy Patinkin off Criminal Minds now the core characters could all be back!

can't wait... saw most of this series a few years ago, only just finally saw the last few episodes today.
i think the last several episodes were some of the best... how could they cancel it just as it was getting even better.
    but.. yay.. movie!

Isabelle Carreau provides another report on the movie:

    http://www.tvsquad.com/2007/07/31/some-dead-like-me-movie-spoilers/

And this report from Staci Wilson at the Comic-Con:

    http://horror.about.com/b/a/257108.htm

    Staci Wilson wrote:
Dead Like Me, The Movie: Ellen Muth, who played George on the Showtime original series, just wrapped the film and was on hand at Comic-Con to sign autographs and meet-n-greet fans. She told me that the Dead Like Me movie will be more "based in reality" than the show was. There is still no exact release date for the film, nor a website. But I'll keep you posted!

Whatever "more based on reality" means?

I can't wait for the movie to come out!!! As of yet, no Rube *cries* but from what I hear he's concentrating on his theatre. Also, i don't wnat them to re-cast Daisy, most of the re-cast end up horrible!

*sigh* But, on the up side-More Mason!!!

i'm conflicted. one one hand, i'm happy that more dlm is coming our way but on the other hand it sounds like they're messing up a good thing. the recast of daisy sounds terrible - it would have been cool if they could have gotten rebecca gayheart back instead. no rube really sucks too. he was my favorite charecter. however, if the show does end up doing another series, maybe Mandy would be up for that? maybe he could "save the day" from Calvin Kane.

ellen muth's comments rub me the wrong way. it almost sounds like she's doing damage control. as if she knows its drastically different and is trying to soften the blow. or i could also be reading way too much into it.

anyway, i'm cautiosly excited. so long as the original series isn't tainted, i'll be happy.

Damn if that is true. That the series will continue after the movie. THAT IS FREAKIN AWESOME!!
Please tell me that this is still the plan that they will bring the series back to life?

Sorry if this has been asked before but does anyone know why they had to recast Daisy? Is it because Laura Harris wasn't interested or had conflicting schedule?
