Bravo! Congrats guys on another great season on the Bering Sea. Deadliest Catch has become my latest addiction. I can watch an ep over and over. This final ep of the season comes with much ice...hence the ep name. On the boats and in the water. The Time Bandit is in peril when they try to get the Independence to offload the catch. You know it's serious when Johnathan sends a crew member down below to check and watch the hull for leaks and damage. That would be scary thing to do, to just sit down there and wait and watch and listen to the hull get banged up and dented like it was. The Northwestern makes a killing, as usual, and the greenhorn seems to step up. Sig recognizes his efforts and gives him what he has been wanting...a NorthWestern Jacket, that Sig takes off his own back to give the kid. I wonder if that was just for the cameras, because we all know how he treats greenhorns! LOL

And all that drama on the Wizard. That "guy" turned out to be no man at all. Such a punk, as he quits and then goes out, then quits again. Then threatens the Captain. Isnt that mutiny? I would have sent him overboard...period. All and all, this season just makes me more jealous of these men and envious of the job. If I was to do it, it would really give me, or any person, the feeling of living life to the fullest. If the producers of the show read this...the only thing I would add to the show is datestamps. Such as to show us the date and time each scene is shot. Therefore we would have a better perspective about the amount of time these guys spend out there. We all know the time varies due to Fish and Game, and it would be interesting to see actually how much time has elapsed from scene to scene.moreless

    • John Hillstrand: (on crawling through the ice flow) It's not very funny, but all you can do is laugh, because... what else are you gonna do? It's not a funny ha-ha, it's a psychotic ha-ha.

    • Matt Bradley: (On the Northwestern overflowing with crab) This is Norwegian money, right here. They don't use dollar bills. They don't use kroner. They use Opie crabs.
