The 2010 opilio crab season comes to a close. The Kodiak ends on a better note than it started on. The Time Bandit is rejoined by Johnathon Hillstrand. They break the bad news to Mike Fourtner that they're taking back the whole 'you're going to be the next captain' offer, so that's rough. The Wizard had a record breaking opie season. The tanks were so full, they had to carry some of their crab home in big plastic toats. Which brings us to my 2 favorite boats: the Northwestern and the Cornelia Marie. Edgar whined about his job all episode and pretty much told all of his deck mates that he was done. At the end, he complained to Sig and told him he was considering some time off. Wah-wah. Um, Edgar? You're lucky to be gainfully employed pal. And you make A LOT of money fishing on the best crabbing boat in the fleet.
Jake Harris went to re-hab in So-Cal and Josh flew back to finish the season out with his team. They finished the season much later than the other boats but they finished. And that's what Phil would have wanted.
This season was dedicated to the memory of Phil and all the other souls who have been lost at sea.moreless
