A back to basic episode that has been seriously lacking from the some more recent episodes that brings back memories of some of the earlier episodes that got me hooked onto this series in the first place. No inter personal drama that makes the series fell more like a soap drama rather than a documentary like some stars of the series claim that it is, more focus on the fishing in the dangerous conditions Bering Sea.
Let's start off the Wizard, I feel sorry for them because of what they went through doing their King crab season and now this getting half of the crew blasted to heck by the power of a 40 ft wave that was so strong that it bent steal on the boat. I also like seeing the soft side of Keith and it also showed that he is in fact human that doesn't like seeing his crew, which also included his brother, getting hurt like that. Now, I am wondering is this thing that I've heard from some people blog that they wanted kept quite.
But, the real nice thing about this episode was the fact that he got another boat, the Incentive, and it is a nice replacement from the Lisa Marie whom from bad luck or nasty editing from the producers didn't see to get off from the ground. I also like how they were introduced into the series, no time devoted toward them prepping the boat for the season, but right into the season doing their job, something that is akin to what was seen in the UK series, Trawlermen. There is something about this boat, that they aren't hamming up for the film crew like some of the boats are doing and I like that.moreless

    • Andy Hillstrand: We're going run up 60 miles to go see the ice pack, northwest toward Russia. No guts, no glory, this is it, we got to find the crab. Edit
    • Harry Lewis: When you get to this level, winter time fishing out here, next to the polar ice pack, there aint no slackers out here. At this level, every guy running a boat, he's for real. Edit
