This was a good episode from wielding the pot shut to the flower bomb.Like how Blake tells another captain about Phils secret spot causing Phil to pay him back by stealing his crab and welding the pot shut.over all I give it a 10.unfortunitly Phils boat The Cornelia Marie breaks off a part of one her propellers and goes to King Cove for emergency repairs while Rough seas cause a crew member aboard the Wizard to have his finger crushed between two pots, requiring professional medical attention at Dutch Harbor. The captain's wife on the Farwest Leader calls the shots on where to set a string and gets full pots in returnmoreless

This was a nice lighthearted episode when compare to the very dark pervious episodes, with the pranks of the Cornelia Marie and the Time Bandit, while the one that was done by the Cornelia Marie wasn't original, it was done last year by the Northwestern and her crew, it was still funny to see and it proves that Phil Harris isn't the type of crabber that you want to mess with, no matter if it was done in jest, like with the Northwestern, or done a way to knock a person down a few legs, like he did with Blake. On a side note, this proves to Blake that a man should honor his word and not go back on it, despite the fact that he was talking to a partner boat. I still don't think Blake is arrogant, I've heard a few interview of him and it dose not come off cocky, that just the way the editors of the show paint him, but I don't think they are reaching to far with him, because of what happen in the first season. Reminder back in the first season when the crab pot feel off the launcher and he said to the camera "That he isn't new" after Rick yelled at him for the mistake, had a slight tint of cockiness in it.

With the two new lead boats, the Wizard and the Farwest Leader, I prefer the Wizard over the Farwest Leader, and while I think both of them are great additions to the show, I think the Wizard is a better boat, with Captain Keith opting for his crew other money, proves to me what Keith is a great captain and great man. Plus there is something about using an old boat in a modern day operation, yes the Wizard is around 63 years old. Also I don't like how Ragnhild is being portrayed as the new "Boat Mom" that title should and always belong to Donna of the Maverick, for she was the first woman of Deadliest Catch, so I am looking forward to see her in the Opies when she and her husband take command of the Maverick.

With the lack of Northwestern footage, I go against the grain with a good majority of fans, I am happy that she isn't as big as she was in the pervious years, it kind of reminded of the days of the first season and the mini series, because it allowing us the fans to get to know the rest of the other featured boats. Also I think they are doing this, because the editors feel that we had enough of them in the past years that they can be missed. But, I got a funny feeling that we are going to get enough Northwestern footage in the episodes to make all of the hatters and lovers of the boat pleased or miserable.

But the real winner of the episode is the crew of the Time Bandit and their joyful playful attitude must akin to the crew of the Rollo or last season, that while the fishing is bad they still fine a way to have fun like playing the prank on the greenhorn of their crew. Again this was yet another clip that was a preview clip and by the look of it appeared that they played a prank on other boat, which is take a lot of balls to do so, but not totally out of the norm, but it fact it was done on other crew member, which isn't as normal.moreless
  • The third episode leaves you wanting more, just like every other episode. I've been spoiled by catching up in the first two seasons by watching D.C. @ 3pm, 5 days a week.moreless

This was great! Blake is trying to come into his own, but he can not keep his mouth shut when his partner boat's Captain, Phil, gives him a hot tip that pays off. So when Phil hears over the radio that Blake is giving his valuable info away, he decides to pay him back with a prank. He takes his crab, which was decent pot, then switches the bridal so the pot comes up upside down, and then welds the pot shut. But Blake is so arrogant that he won't realize that it's for giving away information from Phil.moreless
