  • Better than last week episode, but that isn't saying much about the episode itself.

This episode was better than last week episode, and that was only because of the work on deck and the action of the Coast Guard in the search of the Katmai, but that isn't saying much about the episode itself. Unlike the pervious episode, very few previews were release for this episode, which made the episode feel new.

While, I was hopping that maybe, just maybe that the Trailblazer and the Lisa Marie would show up in this episode, considering that the Discovery behind the scene blog mention them, but yet I have to wait another week to see if they manage even a shot of their captains. I just hope that the Trailblazer, especially the Trailblazer, because they had a film crew for only the King crab season and the Lisa Marie don't end up like the Vixen, from season one, and the Aleutian Ballard, from season three, they had film crews on board, but Discovery editor deem that they won't worry for air time for some unknown reason. But, at last, we will have to wait and see if they will show up or not.
But, now onto the episode itself, I stated before, this episode seem to harking back to the early episodes of Season 1 and Season 2, were they was more focus on the action on deck and on the seas themselves rather than the personal sides of things, which is the reason why I got into this series. And season two still reminds my favorite season.
Now, onto the boats, I am happy that Keith was able to recover from getting smack in the head by this boat and was able to resume his skipper duties. I am also please that Keith didn't insist that he was okay and could still run the boat.
With the Time Bandit, again as I stated before I know what was going to happen to Russell and that editors are just building up the story line for poor Russell, whom I think didn't deserved what happen to him. I also didn't feel that the war or words that Mike and Russell were having with each other is vicious, but light hearted batter. On a side note, I think that the Hillstrand should rethink their decision of their son Scott and throw him to side, but they won't because he is family and their decision of having to many people on the boat and let them fight among his crew for the reminding spots on the boat. Sometimes this will bring out the best of people, and sometimes it will bring out the worst of people. We will have to see.
With the Northwestern, once again they are off to a slow start, and this begs the question, if Sig Hansen, is a great a crab fishermen as he claims he then why is off to another slow season? It makes me wonder is he a lier and that in the pervious years we saw him pulling in huge numbers was just spin when Sig was being good. Now, that we are seeing him pulling in average number is actually the truth about him, considering the whole Russian crab issue last year. All of the negativity that he got from it and maybe Discovery still won't treat him good, until he says that he was sorry that he did that, but from I have seen with Sig, he won't do that, because in his mind, he didn't do anything wrong.
With the Cornelia Marie, and their slow start, I not going ask the same question, because Cornelia Marie doesn't have their regular skipper at the helm in the name of Phil Harris, but Murray and this isn't his regular job, so he won't be aware of the hot spots like the regular skippers will know about.
With the Coast Guard footage, this was one of the saving graces for this episode, and I thought that the episode would have about five or six minutes left in the episode. When I click on the pause button on my TVio, I saw that there as about another 20 minutes left in the episode.I was amaze at the huge response that the Coast Guard had, in all of the footage that we have seen, it using one helicopter looking for the boat, but this time we have several Coast Guard assets in action.moreless
