  • What about Alexander's tactical abilities?

    7.5
Good episode, and I wasn't necessarily surprised that Attila would win in a hand-to-hand battle, or weapons v. weapons. From what I know of Alexander the Great, however, is that it was his military tactics that made him great - outsmarting his opponent's forces in battle. But this was not factored into the episode at all from what I could see. I don't know how you would factor in such an "x-factor" such as military cunning, but not having that be part of the testing defeats the purpose of even having Alexander the Great as one of the contestants on the show. I have no problem with Attila winning a barbaric type of battle man-to-man, but military tactician v. a barbarian, had that been factored in I'm sure the results would have been much different. Attila the Hun might have been able to defeat Alexander the man, but it's unlikely that Attila would have defeated Alexander's armies.moreless
