    • TRIVIA (3)

      • The Motivational Speaker (Nathan Abrams) personal weakness is getting shot by paint from a paintball gun--on his self-help program, he recommends his listeners play paintball. He has to keep eating bologna (as he's "full of baloney") and he can only be "killed" by "eating his own words."

      • The Motovational Speaker was based on one that really does exist in the world of "Deadly Games"--a self-help guru by the name of Nathan Abrahams who swindled Gus into purchasing his junk self-help tapes right after Gus was going through the depression of divorce. Gus' video-game version fires a gun that shoots copies of his audiocassettes that reduce the victim to nohing but a pile of audio-tape.

    • QUOTES (6)

      • (after the Jackal's plan has been foiled)
        Cop: Hey, Happy New Year!
Jackal: Enjoy it while you can...

      • (after taking a bite of his sandwich, the blank tape of The Motivational Speaker's tape is in it--his weakness, the truth--is in it)
Gus: Uh-oh. Looks like you just ate your own words. Happy New Year.

      • The Motivational Speaker: Look kids, you know I'm normally giving and generous... but baloney is where I draw the line. Mmmmm... does look good, doesn't it?

      • (after the Jackal's plans have been foiled)
        Cop: Happy New Year!
Jackal: (bitterly) Enjoy it while you can...

      • Gus: Uh-oh. Looks like you just ate your own words. Happy New Year.

      • The Motivational Speaker: Kids, normally, I'm a generous, giving man... but baloney is where I draw the line. Mmmm... does look good, doesn't it?

    • NOTES (1)

      • Nathan, The Motivational Speaker's favorite thing to eat is balogna sandwiches (as he himself is full of baloney himself). His weakness is "he has to eat his own words." When Nathan throws a copy of his tape to Gus, he sneaks it into Nathan's midnight bologna sandwich--after which he distinegrates.
