I so thought they hould have had a big war, killed Hearst or run him out of town. Not given him everything he wanted!

I was so waiting for the gunfights to begin and then it just ended!

How could Alma sell Hearst her claim after he killed Elsworth. Sad!

Very disappointing. Wish they had done that 2 hour final episode or movie.

Can I ask why you watch this show in the first place?

What a random unrelatd comment, anyway, I watched it because I heard it was good. Why did you watch it? (if you did)

Being disappointed by the ending is different then not liking the series.

I didn't say anything about liking the series. Think it over again...

It is a pretty anti-climatic ending but the show had to stay true to history.

to answer the original poster, the makers didn't know the show getting cancelled when they made the ending - season 4 should have wrapped things up - however the ending you suggest is unlikely given they tried to match history...
