What was the main cause of Deal Or No Deal's cancelation? Because I heard a rumor from Mom that Mike Huckabee was to blame for Deal Or No Deal's cancelation by making Howie Mandel mention Deal Or No Deal on his show. Another story Mom told me was that NBC could no longer make new episodes of Deal Or No Deal and they made GSN show the remaining episodes,

What was the actual reason why Deal Or No Deal got cancelled?,

The ratings for one thing. But I think the Million Dollar Mission made the show jump the shark. Once the million was won, it kinda killed the motivation to watch the show anymore. Plus the syndicated version probably stole some viewers. I like the daytime version better than the primetime version...

To me NBC made a wrong move to cancel Deal Or No Deal and seeing the news that Deal Or No Deal was suddenly cancelled was saddening to me and I just can't believe that NBC would do this to a successful game show and with all the Deal Or No Deal merchandise like board games DVD games video games Deal Or No Deal would be an even bigger hit now by all the Deal Or No Deal stuff that people bought because they were fans and loyal supporters of Deal Or No Deal. I also think that Endemol could also be blamed for Deal Or No Deal's cancelation because like Fremantle Media every show they produce is a hit then gets canceled. Take for instance when the show 1 Vs 100 debuted a year after Deal Or No Deal did but got canceled after only eight episodes and Endemol just repeated the same thing with Deal Or No Deal. To me Deal Or No Deal's cancelation has deeply affected me and I hope NBC brings another show that can compare to Deal Or No Deal,

Primetime game shows seem to have faded from all the broadcast networks, apparently....Looks like NBC would rather show reality TV crap like "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here" rather than DOND...*sigh*

What I can predict now that both versions of Deal Or No Deal are cancelled Howie Mandel's career will go downhill and I can predict that he will retire from comedy shows and move on to sitcoms and other types of shows. It's really a shame that NBC cancelled DOND and they could've made more episodes with the launch of the new Deal Or No Deal syndicated toy line Deal Or No Deal could still be successful. Because of this shocking cancellation of Deal Or No Deal Howie Mandel is no longer my favorite game show host and I have since now moved on to Mark L Walberg but NBC should give Howie Mandel a second game show that's successful as Deal Or No Deal,

Well, NBC had him as host of Howie Do It, but that show flopped. He's going to be a judge on America's Got Talent this summer, I believe...

Now the syndicated version is gone too. This is a big mistake. But something tells me that in some way, shape or form, Deal will be back.

I believe the UK version made some changes to keep the show interesting. The next version will have to copy many of the same elements to keep the show on the air...
