      • Dean Martin: Johnny Carson is a comedian who is seen every night in millions of bedrooms all over America and that's why his last wife left him, she found out he gave a better performance in those bedrooms than he did in his own. Johnny has certainly come a long way in this business, he was born and raised on a farm outside of Norfolk, Nebraska. I know he's a real farm boy because last night I saw him at the bar with a couple of pigs.

      • George Burns: (to Johnny Carson) I want you to know that I watch your show every night, 11:30 I turn on the tv, lie in bed with my clothes off and you're very very funny, the other night I got in kinda late and I watched you with my clothes on, so you know you're funnier with my clothes off.

      • Bob Newhart: Some of you might not know this Johnny's first wife was named Joan, second wife was Joanne, present wife is Joanna, the man-the man just won't go for new towels.
