  • The big question right now is just how is L going to avoid death?

Yet again another great episode. Misa got in my nerves with her squeaky and high-pitched voice and more so that she was nagging and pestering Light to date once a week and forbidding him to date other girls.

There were some great moments in this episode, but what made it for me was L's mention of Light being the first friend he ever had. It seems like the only time Light was really thrown off-guard. The fact that he calls Light his first friend and the fact that he is still going to kill L makes the situation even more twisted. Light thinks of nothing but killing.

Another surprise to me was Rem threatening to kill Light if he dares to harm Misa. It seems like Rem is the only one who scares Light a little. She can see through him and isn't easily fooled. I believe Rem started to care for Misa when she saw her on the day Jealous died saving her. It was obvious that Light was shaken from Rem's threat, but it was brilliant how he got Rem to give in to killing L, but still shady as hell.
  • After a rather slow start, we find ourselves on the midst of a revolution.

This episode was slow from start to finish, excluding Light requesting that Rem kill L. There was a lot of information conveyed to set the stage for the situations that either party must be weary of, not giving much time to elaborate plots or insane action. That Rem would do so much for Misa, who is obviously controlled by Light is almost preposterous, but that just goes to show the shinigami's dedication.

The direction this series has been nudged in is a dangerous one, one that could deter fans from returning if an undesirable event occurs. Hopefully the twists and turns in the plot will cement their fickle interest.

    I give this episode a 9.3/10.

this was a good episode and another fine addition to the series.i was really shocked when L said that light or kira was his friend tho.i was like,Where did that come from? it looks like Light had finally accomplished what he wanted,to become close to L.i undertstand its a serious matter but,i really dont think Light should kill him if theyre friends.thats just plain evil. on the other hand,L didnt REALLY want to be lights friend he just wanted to get close to him too, which he acomplished.so basically theyre both evil.his episode left me hanging and wanting more death note! awsome episode good plot good cliffhanger. 10/10
  • L's friend is........ Kira?!

This episode is about Light furthering his plans to do away with L, using Misa Amane......

The episode mostly focuses on Light and the rest of the task force. L continues to suspect Light as being Kira, and even goes as far as claiming that Light is his "Friend" just to see his reaction on the matter.Later, Misa jumps on Light in a hilarious part where Light thinks to himself,"This is the first time I ever wanted to hit a girl." He brings Misa to his house, where Light tests how far Rem will go for Misa's hapiness by telling her to kill L. To Light's surprise, Rem took the test sereiously, and agreed to it.

This was another great installment of Death Note overall.....
  • Friend or Foe?

Light wastes no time trying to cover up the mess Misa left him by having her send another tape for broadcast. He also ponders over a way to get Misa to see L, so he can rid himself of his main obstacle once and for all.

At first delighted that he has his new queen piece on the board, Light is discouraged quickly when Rem reveals to him that this chess piece is not easily sacrificed at all… She tells him that it will cost his own life in the process…

With this supposed setback, Light somehow manages again to turn the obstruction to his advantage, and hatches the first potential plan to kill L…
