  • Another good episode. Task Force confirms Light and Kiyomi are writing notes. Near has his own plan.

As I've said many times before, Death Note does not disappoint. In this episode, Kiyomi confronts Light about Misa, but Light claims that Misa means nothing to her. That idiot, he is using innocent people and making them believe his lies, just so he can be a god. Aizawa begins to suspect of Light of being Kira even more. He places his marks on all the notepads within the hotel room to prove that Light and Kiyomi are passing notes to each other, and it turns out to be true. Aizawa then decides to meet with Near, face to face. Near made it clear to him that the Task Force really is of no use anymore, but will play a role in his upcoming plan. His plan starts with taking Misa and Mogi as hostages. Near also receives pictures of Mikami's death note in order to look for a pattern. All this has to do with Near's upcoming plan, and we are all dying to know what it is.
  • The copious preparations of war...

I think it’s safe to assume that the countdown has started… the ball is rolling and it won’t be stopped. The story will end and judgement day will arrive! Ahem.
Surprisingly, even this late in the anime, this was a slower episode, not a hell of a lot happening but I’m positive that (as usual) all elements of the plot were necessary for the conclusion that is headed for the viewer all to quickly…
Positive that Mikami is in fact Kira X, Near sets forth his plan to expose Light as the real Kira, and end the case once and for all. The process is not a quick one though, and the proverbial pieces on the board have confusing roles to play in the game…
Light also is mustering his forces however, and it is hard to say who will win the next battle, or if it will be the war, at last, that will be decided…
