I Just Wasn't Made for These Times was an intriguing episode of Defiance as moral questions were asked. It was great to learn a little tiny bit more about the bigger picture after Nolan discovers a strange remnant of the past which has its own secret. I liked how the Tarr storyline unfolded further. Stahma in the white room is always beautiful. Irisa is still upset with Nolan and I hope this gets more focus Lang from Earth Republic gave Amanda some interesting information. I liked how everything played out and look forward to watching what happens next!!!!!!!!!

I really enjoyed this episode and it is one of my absolute favourites so far. It was really quite great with an intriguing storyline and very interesting developments particularly with the mayor, Amanda.

Not crazy at all about the storyline with Kenya and Stahma, but fortunately there was enough interesting moments from the other storylines that made me really enjoy the episode.

I also absolutely loved the ending! Great way to end the episode and now I'm fascinated to see how that all unfolds next week with a plague on the horizon! Can't wait!moreless
    • Defiance.

So Nolan & Tommy find a astronaut called Gordon McClintock from the year 2013, which turns out to be not not the real McClintock because he is an alien, Indogene to be exact. Something that Yewll knew all along that they had made reconnaissance missions before they made first contact. They were surgically altered to appear as human & gather information, but the experiment went wrong. (I Like The Way Rafe Covered It Up By Saying McClintock Committed Suicide). Cant believe Stahma & Kenya are still having this sexual relationship, its not all about the money though & i also thought Datak found out in this episode but he didn't, but i'm sure he knows. Datak is stupid but not that stupid & now at the end they have a Plague to deal with & NO Irisa that is your home & she's not going anywhere. Fantastic Episode, Thumbs Up.moreless

      • Tommy: Thar she blows, captain. Two points off the starboard bow.
        Nolan: Stop reading Moby Dick.
        Tommy: It's enriching.
        Nolan: It's annoying.

      • Nolan: Tommy, you hurt my daughter, your questions about God, they're gonna get answered--personally.

      • Gordon: Geez, my god, your skin is softer than I expected.
Yewll: Easy, tiger, I'm too old for you.

      • Gordon: Okay, so who played me, in the movie?
        Rafe: Oh, uh, Robert Pattinson.
        Amanda: Yeah.
Gordon: Twilight? Which one was he, the vampire or the werewolf?
Rafe: Hell, don't look at me.
        Nolan: Amanda?
Amanda: Oh. Oh, 'cause I'm the girl, I would know?
        Nolan: Yeah.
        Rafe: Yeah.
        Amanda: He was the vampire.
Nolan: Oh, you had his poster on your bedroom floor.
        Amanda: I plead the Fifth.
Rafe: You know, I miss the Fifth. As far as amendments goes, it was one of the best.

      • Rafe: Are you gonna shoot me or not?
        Gordon: I haven't decided yet.
Rafe: Well, can I sit while you do? I'm not getting an younger here.

      • Nolan: I want to know what you were doing during the Pale Wars--all of it.
Yewll: It was a war. You try to win those. You should know. You butchered enough of my people.
Nolan: I could always make it one more.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Gordon: Twilight? Which one was he, the vampire or the werewolf?
References the vampire-themed Twilight series. It is a set of four novels by Stephanie Meyer, the first being Twilight, which was released in 2005. The first book was made into a film in 2008 with the rest of the series following: New Moon, 2009, Eclipse, 2010, and Breaking Dawn, 2011. The saga follows the life of Bella Swan when she moves to Forks, Washington to live with her dad and falls in love with Edward Cullen who she discovers is a vampire. Graham Greene (Rafe) played Harry Clearwater in New Moon.
