Defying Gravity

The day after Halloween in 2047, the Ascans must go through obedience training. Eve explains that she represents a financial backer for the expedition and tells Donner that the people he left behind wouldn't have made it - but he doesn't want to believe her.

The perform a number of tests and then a fire alarm goes off and they all run but Jen goes back to rescue Zoe and they find out it was only a test and fail.

The day after Halloween in 2052, the Ascans are 6 days from Venus. They all begin questioning the idea of the "Drugged Halo" where Nadia has been hallucinating constantly. Donner bring it up with Shaw but Shaw won't admit anything is going on. Zoe and Donner decide to try to find out what is going on and head to Storage Bay IV or Beta's Barn and find that they can't get in. Shaw appears to try and steer them away from their investigation, finally admitting that there is something fied in Storage Bay IV and they are not allowed inside.

The solar flare alarm goes off and they all rush to the shelter but Jen runs back to save her bunny - making everyone have to find shelter elsewhere. They all start discussing whether or not this will affect their health in 30 years when it is all called as a drill! Goss just decided to do it so it would distract Zoe and Donner from finding out more about Beta's Barn!

The team discovers that all of the tomatoes have grown in the fractal garden and decide it must be because of whatever is hiding in Pod IV so they decide to go down and open the bay. A light shines out from something we cannot see and everyone looks astonished and surprised at whatever they are seeing.
