Question: What Is Degrassi the Next Generation ?

    Is it like when there are in high school? Like when they got older, do they use the same people?

    It's a different show... with its own pages and forum. Basically, it's about Emma, who is Spike's daughter. Emma goes to Degrassi, and has the same things happen to her and her friends as happened in Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High. In the earlier seasons, Joey and Caitlin were in the episodes, and Snake is now a teacher at the school. Mr. Raddich was the Principal (until season 5?). Snake is married to Spike. Emma has now graduated from Degrassi and moved on to university, but in the fine tradition that is Degrassi... more students are there to make the same mistakes all over again!

    Some mistakes there:

    Joey was a regular in seasons 2 - 5 (and starred in the first two episodes of season 1) while Caitlin was a regular in seasons 3 & 4 (while starring in a couple episodes in seasons 1, 2 & 5)

    Raditch was principal until part-way through season 4

    And Emma's in her senior year (since her senior year was split into two seasons, 6 & 7, with 6 being from sep - dec and 7 being jan - jun)

    Either way, they show students in college and university after they graduate

    In one episode, Emma has a pregnancy scare, leading the viewers to wonder if they're going to keep this going with every generation of the Nelson family. (Spike was a wedlock child too!)

    emma is not snakes child ( Stepdaughter)
