Heather has a crush on Wheels, and plans a party so that she'll have a chance to get closer to him. The party is a success, and Heather gets what she wants, but Wheels immediately regrets what's happened. Kathleen, Melanie, Diana and Maya form the "Have Not" Club, but when the three girls go to a movie without Maya, it causes a rift in their friendship. LD is still missing school, as she's in the hospital. Lucy visits her, and is there to help LD get through a painful time.moreless

"Just Friends" is a fun Degrassi High episode. I love how Heather gets a plot of her own because it seems like Erica has gotten a lot more storylines than her. Anyways, I love how she has a crush on Wheels, so she throws a party to get closer to him. I can't believe how fast they got to making out. It was so cute how Wheels regretted making out with her because he thinks of her as just a friend. I love the "Have No" club that Kathleen Melanie, and Maya form. It was awful how they didn't invite Maya to a movie because they didn't know if she can see the movie since she's in a wheelchair. I love how Melanie is still friends with Maya by the end of the episode. It was so sad when L.D. found out she had cancer. I give this episode a 8.5/10.moreless

It is good for a dating relationship to begin as a friendship, but not all friendships turn to romance. This is a hard lessons Heather has to learn. But it's good to show that she has real desires for that; she's not just Erica's rescue-squad. And also it's good to learn that magazine articles are just guidelines; not meant to be followed by the letter. And it's sad at the end when they're then awkward around each other. There's no follow-up to that either; at least not on Wheels' part. Hey; Snake got invited to the party, but Joey didn't; what's up with that? Well, maybe he was sick when they were inviting; sick like heartbroken over Caitlin. Yeah; Caitlin is the only one not with Kathleen, Melanie, Maya, and Diana. Maybe because she's not a "have-not"; she's with Claude. It's sweet to see Maya's perspective, though, on being different, and how she still has the same desires. It seems, though, Kathleen hasn't learned much from Scott; she still desires a boyfriend who's good looking; though she does put "considerate" at the top of her list. But Diana and Melanie were the ones who saw their brutal fights in Nobody's Perfect; Maya must have been taking longer to get out of class, or trying to connect with Caitlin before she takes off with Claude. They don't talk about that, though; the violence in relationships, but they do take comfort in the fact that they're all in the same boat. Lucy wants to invite Clutch to the party, and one of the twins asks if they're getting back together. Lucy says "maybe, we'll see". Clutch does go, and she stands him up and there's no follow-up to that. And to think Clutch and LD don't exactly like each other. But it's so sweet to see Lucy go back with LD. Kind of making up for the trouble she put her through in the last season. It's so sad to find out about LD's cancer; it is SO traumatic for any girl/woman to lose hair, even though it does grow back.moreless

"Superb"

In this episode, Heather plans a party so that she may get closer to her crush, Wheels. It seems a little odd to me that she would be attractive to Wheels, seeing that he is having so many problems at home with his grandmother, and his tendency to lie. In any case, Heather and Whhels find themselves alone on the front porch, and make out, right in front of the livingroom window. Erica breaks it up thankfully. The couple bids each other an akward goodnight, with Wheels promising to call (he never did). Their friendship is now weird and strained.

On the b-side, L.D. finds out she had leukemia, and she tells her best gal pal, Lucy. Lucy is brought to tears, and instead of going to the twin's party, she goes back to the hospital to cheer up L.D. This episode shows the strength of their friendship. If Lucy Fernandez was a real person, I bet she'd make a darn good BFF!moreless
