Caitlin overhears that the PTA want to throw Spike out of school because of her pregnancy. She then decides to write an article about it for the school paper. When Mr. Raditch refuses the article to be published, Caitlin decides to release an underground newspaper. The whole school receives a copy and applaud her efforts. The only other dissaprover, besides Mr. Raditch is Spike. She confronts Caitlin about not discussing this with her before publishing the article. "Censored" is an excellent Degrassi Junior High episode. It's so awful that the PTA want to kick Spike out of school because she's pregnant. It's even awful that some of students think that Spike should get kicked out of school. I love how Caitlin writes an article about it but she doesn't even interview Spike about it. I love how Spike totally rejected Caitlin's article. I love the subplot of Joey having inappropriate pictures of woman in his locker and so he L.D. puts inappropriate pictures of men in her locker and they both get in trouble. Anyways, I give this episode a 10/10.moreless

Meanwhile, L.D. thinks it's sexist that Joey has pictures of bikini girls in his locker. this was one of the best degrassi episodes mainly because caitlin was by far the best actor on the show. she was also the hottest girl on the show(along with stephanie). caitlins acting was so good she blew most of the other cast out of the water. it had a very good story and a very funny subplot.moreless

Caitlin is looking for a great article for the school paper, and lo and behold! Spike may get kicked out of school. Against the advice of Raditch, Caitlin writes an article about Spike, without consulting with Spike first! One may wonder if she was really in it for Spike, or was she in it for the glory of writing a great story? You be the judge...

Joey's "sunshine girls" offends L.D. and fascinates Alexa. L.D. decides to turn the table on Joey by posting her own provacative pics in her locker. They both get in trouble in the end! Good episode about the issue of censorship: first with Raditch trying to censor Caitlin's article, then with Joey's right to put pics of semi-naked girls in his locker.moreless

It's good to have students who try to stand up for the ones being outcasted. Though often it is done the wrong way; like Caitlin did. And it's good to have this episode there, so hopefully parents will talk to their kids about sex and its consequences. Spike is being punished for being pregnant; if she hadn't, who would know they had sex? More to come when we have the next pregnancy. LD's stance on making Joey and Wheels and Snake stop fussing over those pictures, it's most interesting. I love Snake's line when reading what a celebrity girl wants; a guy who plays guitar."Here I am, Debbie, take me!" Alexa's help in the plan, well, we learn that she has a sister, who's probably a little older. It's good how Nancy helped Caitlin stay on the Digest, but to try not to be too controversial next time.moreless
