The bridge that Stephanie sees in her dream, and then goes to when she cuts school, is the Bloor Street Viaduct in Toronto. It was quite well-known in the community as a suicide spot; so much so that the city put up barriers and fencing in order to discourage people from jumping.
In this episode, Stephanie and Arthur's father sues for custody of both of them. Arthur warned Stephanie about this in Fight!, earlier this season, when he told her that, "he's re-opening the divorce. He wants custody... of both of us."
(about Stephanie) Heather: I'm worried about her. Erica: I know what you mean... have you seen the way that she's been dressing these days?
Arthur: I guess I'll have to get rid of Phil though. Steph: Hey, I bet if I cleaned up my act a little, Mom wouldn't mind having Phil around.
Arthur: Thanks a lot Steph, we're supposed to be related. I'd help you out if I could...
Steph: My life is such a disaster. I might as well kill myself. Heather: Don't joke about that, it's not funny. Steph: I wasn't joking.
Mr. Lawrence: (over the intercom) Our thought for the day is BE YOURSELF. Remember, it's the first step toward being the BEST self you can be.
Stephanie's mom said she's getting married.
This episode deals with suicidal thoughts.
The dog is credited as Arthur.
