  • Snake's brother comes to town and he has a secret.

"He Ain't Heavy..." is an awesome Degrassi Junior High episode. I love this episode because it educates people on the topic of AIDS. So many people are so uneducated about the topic and it's awful the jokes they make about it. Anyways, I love how Snake's brother comes to town and comes out to his brother. I love how Snake accepts his brother by the end of the episode. I love Lucy's plot in this episode trying to prove she didn't sleep with Paul. I love how L.D., Heather, and Erica finally believe her at the end of this episode. This was Lucy's only bad plot, and I'm glad she got redemption. I give this episode a 9/10.moreless
  • Snake's brother comes home unexpectedly, and tells him he is gay. Snake had just been mocking gays with BLT and Shane, and now is defensive. The grade 9s learn about AIDS. Joey gets a job at CRAZ radio as janitor, to work his way up in music.moreless

Good way to mention homosexuality. It'd be nice to follow that up in DTNG, like Jack asking what's an uncle and Emma asking Grandma Simpson about gaps in photo albums? Anyway, just a thought. I'm glad they put in a lesson on AIDS; a lot of kids have questions about it. And this helps answer some of the most common ones. Joey's part was hilarious, when he hangs around the station, hoping to give out his tape, and not giving up. Like he's president of the world, and no one says no to Joey Jeremiah. He can be so arrogant, but here it's funny. And in him getting a job there, it leads to good suspense, like will he be able to do the work, and will it cut into his time with friends and oust his chances with a potential girlfriend? Or will it affect his grades and make him have to repeat the year again? And good to see Lucy and LD be friends again. I loved seeing Lucy confront Paul in front of them, and Clutch. It shows, once again, that Paul is whipped by Clutch, because he wants Clutch to think he's so cool. And it's good that LD saw that as well.moreless
