Having developed a crush on Joey, Caitlin agrees to be partners with him in order to help him with his grade. After she mistakes his mention of the school dance as an invitation, she is mortified when she arrives and sees Joey and Liz together. While talking about wanting to break up with Simon, Alexa notices Michelle's crush on BLT and offers to help her get noticed by him. Feeling betrayed when Alexa takes BLT for herself, Michelle and Simon scheme to get her back by going to the dance together. Meanwhile, Yick and Arthur discover Dorothy has a crush of her own...on Yick!moreless

"Loves Me, Loves Me Not" is a great Degrassi Junior High episode. I love Joey and Caitlin together. I find them to be very entertaining. I love how they went to a movie and they both had very different opinions on it. I love how they both didn't pick one opinion for the project and they choose to tell both of their opinions for the project. The Alexa and Michelle plot was very interesting. It was so cute how Michelle had a crush on BLT, but then it was awful how Alexa goes after BLT for herself. I love how Michelle and Simon became closer as friends. I wish we could have seen more screen time with them as friends. Dorothy's crush on Yick was very disturbing. I give this episode a 8.5/10.moreless

This is good to see some progress with Joey, and in getting to know Caitlin too. How great to show 2 sides of the movie, and get an A in the process. Though he also gives her mixed messages when talking about the dance, and he never told her he invited Liz. I don't know why he invited Liz when she almost won't give him the time of day. The part with Michelle and Alexa and BLT and Simon makes one very interesting plot. Especially when they talk about the movie; Alexa and BLT think it's great and Michelle and Simon both think it's stupid. Alexa's attitude is most annoying, the way she pushes Simon around and takes him for granted. I loved when Simon then teams up with Michelle to teach her a good hard lesson in the Golden Rule. Only when she sees them together with arms around each other does she realize what she just gave up to flirt with BLT. Caitlin sure goes to extremes; she throws Joey's tape out after leaving the dance early. She doesn't even give Joey a chance to dance with her.moreless

In this instalment of Degrassi Junior High the ups and downs of teen-age relationships. When kids get older, especially in Junior High, hormones start to kick in. The boys and girls who seemed icky suddenly become the object of desire. Unfortunatly, as this episode shows, just because you lik someone doesn't mean they'll like you back, but that's Junior High.
