  • The Grade 7s have had enough with Stephanie Kaye.

"Revolution" is a great Degrassi Junior High episode and a great way to end the first season. In this episode, the grade 7's are tired of Stephanie. I love how they protest against her after their exams. I love how Joey finds out that Steph was just using him and sides with the grade 7's. I love how Stephanie decided that she was going to change and be herself and not worry about what others think. I give this episode a 9/10.

After Wheels rejects a date with Stephanie, she starts flirting with Joey to make him jealous. After she appoints Joey as sports rep on the student council, the grade sevens retaliate because Yick was interested in the position first. They start an impeachment of Stephanie as school president. After Joey finds out she was using him to make Wheels jealous, he resigns from the position. Stephanie vows that next semester she will change and will do a good job as president. I never understood why steph liked wheels so much. ok he is better looking than joey but thats not saying much. and also the guy played wheels has to be the worst actor ever. it was like he was reading his lines off a sheet of paper. any ways this episode is close to the bottom because of its terrible script. even steph the star of the show cant save this one.
  • Jason the sports rep has moved away. Yick shows interest in the position, but Stephanie chooses Joey just to get back at Wheels for turning her down. The grade 7s decide to impeach her.

Here we see Stephanie suffering the consequences of her example as student president. Of using her power the wrong way. Interesting how Voula defends her, but this is the last time we see Voula anyway. But even some of the grade 8s don't like how she is, like LD saying "she only got to be president because she let the boys kiss her". And it's nice that, once she realizes what people think of her, she takes stock in Arthur, who she knows will be loyal as her brother. And he is; gotta commend him. We see Stephanie cry, in the bathroom alone, and so far, the only crying we've seen in this show is in private. Crying is generally something that's considered babyish in junior high; they try to be strong too much.
