Overall, this was a good episode. The A plot with Katie was interesting. I liked how the girl, who Katie accidentally punched her nose, made her have a broken knee for retribution. It was shocking how Katie was going to great lengths to complete tryouts by abusing her mother's pain medication. That was the most interesting part because there has never been a "pain killer" addict storyline in Degrassi history.
The B plot with Tori, Tristan, and Zig was cool too. I especially liked the part when Tristan went to Owen for advice and the both of them are revealed as brothers. Owen, of course, was pretending like Tristan wasn't his brother but anyway he told him to tell Tori that Zig thinks she's fat. I'm actually happy that Tristan did not make a complete drama out of this situation which he decided to hang out with Zig and let the three of them participate in Degrassi's talent show. This shows a bit of character development for Tristan since he is opening up to new things.
The C plot with Jenna was one I had mixed feelings about. I understand that giving up a child is not easy but you always have to learn from it and move on. That is the opposite I got from Jenna because I felt as though she was being overly depressed about Tyson. Just as a side note, Jake should not be giving relationship advice to anyone since he dated his step-sister.
In general, I give this episode a B. The A and B plots were good but the C plot was just too depressive for me.
