  • Spinner finds out he has testicular cancer.

"Death or Glory" part 1 is a magnificent Degrassi episode. It has both my favourite storylines of the seasons. First of all, it has my favourite Spinner storyline. In this episode, Spinner finds out that he has testicular cancer. This is by far Spinner's best storyline and it's very well acted. Second of all, it has the continuation of Darcy's storyline. Darcy has just become so crazy, I like it. In this episode, she has some major attitude. I love how her attitude didn't come out of nowhere. There was an event that caused her to be like this. I love how she just blurts out to Mr. Simpson that she was raped. I give this episode a 10/10.moreless
  • perfect

spinner gets in a fight with johnny dimarco and afterwards feels pain in his genitals. he is worried and does not know what to do, and at the end of the episode he learns he has testicular cancer. meanwhile darcy is acting up in simpson's class after she gets out of counseling, and she later reveals to simpson that she was raped. how will he handle this?

great episode, if i was spinner i woulda been terrified! great acting and great storylines make this one of my favorite episodes of the series, and it definitely gets an A+ from memoreless
  • The two best plots of the season merge.

Probably the best episode of the whole season. The two best plots of the season merge, A, Spinner's cancer plot, and B, Darcy's rape plot. Spinner tries to impress Jane throughout the episode which is kind of hard since he's beating up all the Lakehurst kids, which by the way is awesome. The cancer, was hard to believe. And very powerful toward the end. He shaves his head, and starts beating up a bunch of kids, because of the cancer. Great plot. And you thought you would have a suckish B plot, to go with this awesome A plot, but you were wrong... Darcy is dealing with her rape, not in a healthy way. She acts out in class, and her grades are starting to slip, the powerful stuff, is when she confesses to being raped to Snake. Darcy talked to someone. I liked the Snake/Darcy interaction, we haven't seen that since EWAF, from S6. Amazing powerful episode. Makes you wonder what Spinner is going to do next.moreless
  • WOW! A very nice Spinner A plot, put together with an evenmore enjoyable Darcy B plot.

Spinner has testicular cancer. I thought it would be AIDS or some stuff. Spinner is really scared he will die of the cancer....well when he finds out he does in at the end of the episode. So like, during the episode, He gets in little tiny altercations with some dumbass Lakehurst dudes....mainly Johnny DiMarco...the biggest douchebag of Lakehurst. Spinner turns into a little school "keep the peace" dude when Ms.H makes him attend, so Spinner also invites his new crush and new character, Jane with him. Not th\o mention one of the best parts of this episode... Danny gets into a little brawl with another new comer, Lucas who makes a remark about J.T, "He asked for it"...meaning he was asking to get stabbed in the back. So then Liberty has a go at him and it's one of those moment where it just makes you say WOW...a great degrassi moment just happened....Speaking of great Degrassi moments, Darcy's B plot stole it in this episode when she begins to act up. Her and Mr. Simpson have a go at each other when Mr. S, get Darcy into detintion and then he makes Darcy continue conseuling...the one thing Darcy doesn't want. Darcy flips out and kicks the bucket of water over and throws the window cleaner and the lockers...Love it! A great degrassi moment...Also when Darcy admits to Mr. S she was raped....IT was kinda intense....3 great Degrassi moment in one episode...Gotta Love it!!!!moreless
  • Spinner gets diagnosed with cancer

This wasnt my favorite storyline but it did make a good plot for spinner. He finally becomes serious in this episode, he definitely has changed and im glad to see spinner reimerging. Although i dont like how he is becoming, he was being a total a$$ to jane who didnt deserve it. I hope jane stands by his side in future episodes but from what i have seen and from what i have heard i dont think they will be lasting long. Oh well whatever degrassi is definitely getting back to its old roots. The show is starting to re-discuss heavy issues.moreless

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Mr. Simpson: Maybe I was a bit too harsh with you the other day.
Darcy: You're the only one that treats me like a real person, not like some sort of china doll.

    • Darcy: (walks into Mr. Simpson's classroom) Ms. Sauve says I have to apologize for throwing the water so, sorry.
Mr. Simpson: Well how about you try again and this time actually mean it?
Darcy: I don't mean it Mr. Simpson. You could have helped me and you didn't. Now I'm back in stupid counseling three times a week.
Mr. Simpson: Darcy, you're on suicide watch. Then maybe that's not such a bad idea.
Darcy: I hate counseling. Okay? I hate it!
      Mr. Simpson: Why?
Darcy: Because she's trying to get inside my mind. She wants to know things!
Mr. Simpson: Look, what ever it is you're coping with, lashing out isn't the way deal with it and unless you can control yourself-.
      Darcy: I was raped!
