Degrassi: The Next Generation

Okay so I didn't like this newbie as much as I did with Katie only because anything involving Eli bugs me ever since the Eli & Clare overload of last season. But we definitely have something new brought to the table with Imogen. Love that name too.



The Riley & Zane story is interesting enough but I'm pretty sure it will be resolved in a short period of time, either that or they'll end up "taking a break."



I actually really liked the KC & Marisol interactions. Marisol doesn't bring anything new to the table but she's instantly likable, and it's going to be fun to see KC go back to his old flirtatious ways. Good episode overall.

"Dirt Off Your Shoulder" part 1 was just an amazing Degrassi episode. I love how there's actually something wrong with Eli, but the doctors just don't know exactly what that is. I can't wait to find out what he has. In this episode, he's taking anti-anxiety pills, and he has writers block for the school play. I love the scene where Eli's dad says that he doesn't want to lose Eli. My favourite scene in this episode is Eli freaking out and trashing the computer. And Imogen witnesses this and she falls to the ground and her nose is bleeding and she tells Miss Oh that she tripped on a wire. I love the introduction of Imogen. She's a crazy, psycho girl, and I already love her character. I love how she told Adam that Eli punched her in the face. She's crazy and random and I can't wait to see more of her character. I enjoyed Riley's plot. It's too bad that his mom was ignoring him for all this time. I can't believe the one time she talks to him is set him up on a date with a girl that he thought he was going to talk to someone about sports scholarships. I can't believe Zane thinks Riley's cheating on him after reading his text message. I hope Riley tells Zane everything in the next episode. I'm tired of KC and Jenna plots, but KC and Marisol's after work party seemed like fun. I give this episode 9.5/10.

Eli: This was really good. Him throwing the computer was really intense of a moment, and it was…. Nice for Imogen to take the fall. Imogen is a freaky person (claiming Eli hit her at the end, I'm assuming was a joke?), but I think I will like her as a character, the more she evolves.



Riley/Zane: The thing I dislike about Riley's character is he is almost ALWAYS in episodes where he is the star in one of the plots. If an episode has no Riley plot at all, he will not appear, and so as a result he appears in a very limited amount of episodes. But this was nice. I hope him and his mom start talking again. I hope Riley learns not to lie to Zane anymore, because they make a good couple.



Jenna/KC: First, KC had Clare, then Jenna, and now he might have a thing with Marisol? Geez, KC, get a grip. I know he is trying to escape baby-ville, but… don't have unprotected sex if you can't deal with the consequences.



Good episode, overall. A+ or so as my final grade
