So, throughout the years many of the characters on Degrassi have had some pretty big transformations. From attitude, to looks, to style, and life outlook, Which character do you think has had the greatest transformation and why?
I will start out this post and name a few people who I believe have had some great transformations.
Emma:
Her overall look has been tremendous.once her braces came off she had a great smile, amazing body, and I've always loved her personality. I think for a while she always thought she new whats best for herself/people.but I loved that in MANY episodes we saw how self-conscious and insecure she has felt at times.
Anya:
A lot of times I havent been fond of her, because she is a very quirky person. but i think she looked best in episode "why cant this be love" in the scene where she told sav that she may possibly be pregnant.I just thought she was most striking in that scene. she is always canging hair color but everything about her looked great.
Spinner:
I think he looked best in season 5 or 7. they are both a tie to me. his acting was AMAZING in both seasons and her is constantly changing his look. and its good to look back and thinking "i remember 1st seeing him look this way, or that way".
I have to agree with Emma and Spinner. I think Spinner and Marco tie for the MOST transformations, appearance-wise. I'm going to add Clare, going from shy, unsure, pony-tailed, Catholic-school-uniformed, bespectacled to outgoing toalmost blunt, kicky hair & clothes, and spec-free. The best thing is that she never lost her, well, Clare-ness.

I 10000% agree! I was going to mentionClareandMarcoaswell, but this was at like 2am that i made this post lol Marco is deffinently a great person for transformations. looking back on his character I used to think at times that his character could of been a little bit better (even though i still thought he was great). but after seeing riley and zane, i LOVE marcos character even more.
I really like clare's physical transformation too.I just watched a season 8 episodeyesterdayonteen-nickand god she looks nothing like her character in season 8. she had such a baby face in that season lol But i have hated her character development since the end of TBP. i loved her in season 8/9 and TBP. but now she is soo whiny and only talks about boys, i feel like the writers are forcing her to act like that. I honestly dont see clare as a boy-crazy person. but i think they are trying to make clare the "emma nelson" of the new generation with the boy drama. but i thought emma's was waaaaay more interesting and realistic.

I gotta go with Fiona. While she hasn't changed tremendously appearance-wise, her characterization from season 9--from bland snob to complex and compelling--has been incredible. I love that she's been written as a lesbian, and that her plots since her coming out have not been about her sexuality itself (*koff* Riley *koff*), but how it ties in to her drinking problem. She's become one of my favourite characters, not just of this generation, but of the entire cast from the show's beginning.

I think fiona has made a transformation from season 9 till now. but i wouldnt say its "stand-out" transformation. I like her acting and her character a lot, and you are right that we got to meet her as fiona and she grew into a gay character instead of "fiona the lesbian chick". so, yea, I do like her and her acting chops, but i wouldnt say she is the best transformation in the whole show, i think thats a bit of a stretch. the whole original cast has had a bigger transformation then her. she's only been on 3 seasons.
I've got to go with one of my personal favorites: Holly J
Holly J went from one deminsional bitch back in season seven into someone we all ended up caring about and liking in the end. She appearance has changed alot as well. She used to have her trademark ponytail, then went to wearing her hair down, then she trimmed it shorter (Which I kind of dislike). There's something about the way she acts that eventhough she's mean sometimes you still can feel a hint of sadness for her.

| Fiona (went from a quiet, stuck up, anti-social, clingy to her brother type of girl, to a acoholic drinking, lesbian lip locking, abused spirit , to a sensible person.) |
...and she blows the sensible part in the first episode of this season.
