this is the thread where we bring up a topic and debate about it.

Every thread on this board has turned into a debate actually more like bickering and arguing, but let's start with...

Darcy is the biggest self rightous arrogant hypocritical character on the show....

let the debate begin! Be mature. No cussing people out like some people do.

Darcy was likeable in season 4 and most of season 5 until HF. Darcy became so full of herself it was unbelievable. She couldn't forgive Spinner for his past mistakes and kept shunning him for it and bringing it up then turns around and calls Manny a slut. That bible camp she went to must have messed up her mind cause then she comes back in season 6 and calls Paige a hoe. paige didn't even know they were still dating when she slept with him. Then holier than thou Darcy posts half naked pictures of herself on the intenet. Peter is not the only one to blame here. Yes he lied to her and was a sleeze ball but darcy is the one who continued talking and posting pictures of herself for some guy she didn't know. This is her being a hypocrite. If anyone was being a hoe it was her Then when Mia came(back when she was likeable) Darcy told her she couldn't be on the squad because she has a kid. Then come season 7 she still has the nerve to tell Manny she has no morals or values when they were supposed to be friends. I loved her season 7 storyline. It did redeem her a bit but she will always be a hypocrite to me.

and

Darcy`s insult to paige was totally justified and i blame paige 99% and Darcy 1%

ok but your problem is, that you don't explain WHY. why is Spinner only partly to blame and why is Paige partly to blame?

and just because she was half drunk doesn't mean anything. When me or my friends are drunk we don't sit there and insult each other.

Paige didn't know Darcy and Spinner were still dating. Spinner is at total fault. He could have controlled his hormones but didn't.

Paige saw Darcy and Spinner kiss in the gym at the beggining of pt.2 of HF and she made the first move and seduced him,so that was her fusalt too.

^ok. but SParcy was having issues in their relationship. Darcy wouldn't let Spinner's past go. They were rocky at the time. Darcy ended the relationship because of his past. He slep with Paige and was in total control. Now Paige said she never blamed him for the Rick stuff which was a total lie. She just wanted some Spinner snake. She outcasted Spinner in season 4 when he admitted to her. so I do blame paige for using him for sex but Spinner could have said no anytime.

I'd like to argue that Emma is the most hypocritical Character on the show, and not Darcy. Darcy IS arguable, but her hypocrisy is intentional, kinda goes with the whole Christian persona.

most of the evidence speaks for itself, but here's two main ones.

"Manny youre a slut for showing Peter your boobs! and Peter is a creep!" *Dates Peter*, *gets naked in front of the whole school "in protest"*

"Manny you're sleeping with the enemy, we should totally hate Lakehurst!" *dates Damien, after Manny does*

yeah i know some christian girls like Darcy but still it's not an excuse. there are christians who are actually tolerant.

There is no character more hypocritical than Miss Emma Nelson.
-She made that "no more lies" pact with Manny... then dated Peter behind her back.
-She came down on Manny for hanging around Paige in Wannabe... but who was she hanging out with in MS?
-She started an anti-violence campaign... then tripped Rick.
-She preached to Manny about how wrong it was to hook up with Craig and was all "don't you feel bad for Ashley?"... but she had no problem hooking up with Jay and she certainly didn't care about Alex.
-She gets mad at Manny for meddling with Sean in WW... then in that same episode, she meddles with Spike and Snake.
-She preached to Liberty about being an individual when she wanted to join the sorority... then a few episodes later, she smokes weed to fit in and look cool.
There are probably more examples. I'm just too lazy to type them all.
Emma's pretty self-righteous too. There are tons of examples, but the one that sticks out to me the most is when she basically called Manny a screw-up in Venus.

I think Darcy and Emma are both equally hypocritical. Emma's hypocritical when she wants to look right about something or perfect (most of the time) and Darcy seems to be hypocritical by nature.

hmm the hypocritical arguments are def' difficult to brush upon. i must admit, i myself have been a hypocrite at times. i think everyone has a bit of hypocritical side in them. but Darcy was totally unbearable in HF. she just couldn't forgive Spinner for his past mistakes. but Spinner was to blame also. he lied to Darcy when he told her nothing happened between him & Manny. so honestly, it was both of their faults. Darcy had the right to get mad at Spinner for not telling her about the 2 other girls he slept with, cus he lied to her about not sleeping with Manny. i'm the kinda guy who remains neutral and i don't like picking sides cus honestly every character has their faults as well, lol. but let's get to Ms. Emma Nelson ....ok so i love Emma, but i agree she does have her "hippo" stages.

yes very true, but temptation is the greatest sin. i didn't blame Emma cus well she really liked Peter, couldn't date him, so the more she was restricted the more she kept going forward to him. but what about Manny. knowing Craig was with Ashley - "i can keep a secret" so in a way i guess to quote Manny - "forbidden things are an aphrodisiac" but Emma was a hypocrite for that, i'll agree

true true, but we have to acknowledge the time & place of where Manny/Emma's relationship was in season 4. their friendship was really bad in the first half of season 4. Liberty & Manny didn't wanna hang out with Emma after her statement about "what are people gonna think of me, when Chris & Liberty go out". so ...obviously Emma had no other friends to hang out with. right when Paige told Emma if she wanted to hang out with her at the Dot, obviously Emma wanted to rub it in Manny & Liberty's faces when she was gonna hang out with the Queen Bee. "gonna sip a frap with Paige, have fun in your hot tub". i don't really blame Emma for that, she just wanted to show off her "new friendship" with little Ms. popular.

sorry for double posting, but again i'll repeat: i hated Emma in season 4. she completely changed out of the blue. this was not the Emma i knew back from seasons 1-3. where was the environmental loving, protest- tree hugging girl we saw? i have a theory that in season 4 Emma became the biggest hypocrite, annoying little girl cus she finally got rid of her braces. lol as dumb as that sounds. she got her hair all fixed up, & well she def' took a step up from past seasons. so better looking Emma = more self-conscious. that's why she wondered what everyone would think if Lib/Chris started dating. then she hung out with the cool crew, tripped Rick to prove to her amazing popular bff's what she can do, yadiyada. then she stepped up to defend Rick (now that's the Emma we know, lol) but then ...a gun to her face made her give a blow job. she was in a really bad place. everyone dealt with the gun scenario differently, but in a way it was like Alex/Amy were peer pressuring her/ doubleteaming her with the whole penis jokes". like ..."oh she ate a hotdog, threw up for a week." , "she hates bananas" or something like that & i guess Emma was tired of being the innocent little girl & wanted to try being a naughty naughty girl

^ yeah I think it's dumb that people believe that Emma gave Jay a bj because she was scared from the shooting. how would that make you give someone a bj? lol makes no sense. It was pretty obvious that Emma only did it because Alex and Amy siad she has Penisaphobia.

Ellie and Sean had sex with each other.
Sean did not lose it to Emma and Ellie did not lose it to Jessie despite what both Sean and Ellie say. Sean could have slept with Ashley in season 1 in Jagged Little Pill during that make out session upstairs. that's not totally out of the question. We know for sure Sean had sex with Ellie as noted several times in season 4. In AILMH, Ashley says, was it good enough to almost give your mom a heart attack? What else could "it" mean. jay then says at the Party, "it;'s a Thanks for all the sex party" The writers clearly started out with Ellie and Sean having sex but then oh sweet Semma so romantic had to ruin it in season 6 and Ellie claimed she was a virgin. LIE! The writers just threw that virginal reversal to make Semma "romantic". Sean is the type of guy who looses it way before he did. and Ellie, Ashley, and Jay made it pretty obvious they were screwing.

really? hmm i never thought of it that way. to me when Jay said that about Sean & Ellie ...i thought Jay was being funny & sarcastic, like "oh gee thanks Sean for all the sex" when in reality Ellie & Sean never did. hence, Jay's sarcasm. i don't know i guess i never pictured or got the idea that Ellie & Sean had sex cus well, Sean volunteered to sleep on the couch & gave his bed to Ellie when she moved in. so it gave me the impression that they never slept together. but i prefer Sean the idea that Sean lost it to Emma & Emma lost it to Sean cus i'm a die hard SEMMA shipper. haha
